Ur channel reminds me of my grandpa. He was a carpenter. He made everything without nail. Even if he used one, it was made of wood, not metal. For him, a piece of strong wood was treasure. When he passed away, my uncle replaced him. Now that my uncle passed away too, nobody in the family can continue the profession. My dad is a businesses consultant so no one had the skills. But we still keep the tools as a memento. I miss them so much
All of your skills combined is making this look so easy. I would like to have seen a few younger guys on this project to give them experience of learning these guys skills first hand. I love watching these video's and wonder why so many other countries don't build like this. Thank you for sharing and I look forward to watching the other episodes on this build..
This was so interesting to see your house come along from an idea. To a structure. you and your neighbors did all that wood by hand. What an accomplishment 👏
What is the significance of the ceremony with the red cloth on the ridge beam, chicken, man being wrapped with red cloth and the money being dropped from up high? Im from the USA and have never seen this before. Is this a type of blessing upon the house and its owner? Good fortune blessing/wish?
yeah man, this is old style there are a lot of rules. all baout blessing and wish. mainly skip the troubles and gathering good luck, weatlth and health.

Typhoons cannot enter the mountainous areas of Guizhou, so different regions have different practices. We use this method to cover the tiles here, continuing the traditional practice. And the process also needs to be weighed against the cost
I often watch Chinese building videos and wonder why they don't pay more attention to building retaining walls. I am deeply saddened whenever I hear news saying there were casualties from mudslides.

Interesting that all the fasteners are temporary and in the other videos it is not obvious how things are eventually attached.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
What kind of writing implement was that? It looked like a chisel or a very wide marker, but maybe was a very stiff brush? Idk

The architecture of South Korea and Japan is basically influenced by China.
@@Carpenter_AnXu 收海外徒弟吗?
i have build my house in the united states. building official destroyed it saying it too long to build. now i am homless.
