- This is my self-built wooden house, built in classic Chinese ancient style and tenon -and -mortise structure.

I like ancient Chinese history and culture and ancient life, I like ancient Chinese architecture a lot, and the life close to nature in "The Peach Colony", I hope I can also personally understand that so I decided to use woodworking craftsmanship to create the paradise myself and record it for everyone.

Ur channel reminds me of my grandpa. He was a carpenter. He made everything without nail. Even if he used one, it was made of wood, not metal. For him, a piece of strong wood was treasure. When he passed away, my uncle replaced him. Now that my uncle passed away too, nobody in the family can continue the profession. My dad is a businesses consultant so no one had the skills. But we still keep the tools as a memento. I miss them so much
My grandfather and my father were also carpenters, but they too passed away, I am very sorry for your loss.

What kind of writing implement was that? It looked like a chisel or a very wide marker, but maybe was a very stiff brush? Idk
it is the traditional carpentry marker made out of bamboo. The wide end is shaved thin and has the fibers separated to retain ink. The other end can be used too (as a regular marker).

贵州山地台风进不来，因此不同地区不同做法吧，我们这里瓦片都是这样盖，延续的传统做法。还有工艺也是需要和成本做权衡的
