1:22 this may seem like a very small stadium but it's actually relatively massive when you take into account this >6000 seater is located in a village with less than 5000 people

The Braga stadium is definitely the most original. Do Dragao and Da Luz are superbs stadiums.

Most of these would be small even in English Div 2 and wouldn't look out of place in the Conference but then you get Boavista and beyond and they look pretty good.
Here in Portugal most cities have low population
the bigger stadiums are in the big cities, and most of the big cities from Portugal do not have a club in the Primeira Liga (Setubal, Funchal, Aveiro, Leiria, Coimbra, etc)
moreirense's stadium has more capacity than the town's population.

It is a pity that many historic teams in the Portuguese championship are in lower divisions.. teams like Arouca, Moreirense, Casa Pia, Estoril do not belong to the first division... they don't have structure or supporters.

it is their stadium but previously it was twice the size (there were two stands) but they were forced to demolish it for security reasons and now they dont want to spend a lot of money on building a new one

I'm ashamed of this, it seems like the Bundesliga 7 (if that exists) more than a profissional european league. There are teams such as Arouca with 600 people attending a first division match and this can not go on much longer. It's about time to reformulate the portuguese football by reducing drastically the number of teams, as Scotland did. This is embarrassing, i repeat, because those 5.000 seats' stadiums have more than half empty chairs

Entendi porque o campeonato português é fraco, os times do interior não tem muito investimento, pouco públicos, estádio parece de cidadezinha do interior da Bahia.

Cierto, se siente como Latinoamérica dónde hay estadios que se han quedado en el siglo pasado.
También creo que se debe a la absoluta dominancia de tres equipos en el país. Han dejado bastante relegados a los otros clubes que la expectativa de los simpatizantes disminuyó, provocando una baja concurrencia a los estadios.
Seguro no les rentabiliza modernizar sus recintos.
