I like the song and the show but this doesn't really fit Jaune at all. He's not really the good guy gone bad type. He's kinda like the underdog, the one we all cheer for. But tragedy follows him and he changes because of it but not really to an extreme.

I'm kinda divided on this. This was a well edited video and the song was great but I don't think Jaune has raised any grey/monster type qualities to qualify for the song. Like maybe he had some guile hero/some more grey in his hero system then maybe?
I think it's supposed to be about how Jaune doesn't have a very high opinion of himself. The boy has always had self-esteem issues. So while he isn't really in "monster" territory, the general overtones of self hatred are still there.
