@@TheRealKazberry pretentious music lesson: the time signature in Hey Ya is 11/4 meaningful there's eleven quarter notes per measure. Bonfire is in 4/4 (a standard time signature for most songs) which is four quarter notes per measure. That's why the mashup sounds out of sync.
Tl;dr: Hey Ya is a quirky girl and doesn't fit in.
