It is a technique based on luck, you can read Numerology game mechanics here:

You need to use Numerology technick on enemies until you reach around 32,768 Target damage. It starts from 1 and doubles on next damage. You can save your Numerology power up progress by zone in and out (quick save) or by Save crystal. If you get Missed damage, then reload and continue from last save. It is a party damage, any member with the technick can continue the progress.
You can first do simple trials in Westersand where there are many Wolfs.
When 32,768 target damage is achieved, head to Garamsythe and apply the technick's last Target damage (65,536) on 1 Foobar near Cuchulainn, if lucky the last Splash damage (131,072) will one-shot the esper.
Again this technick is based on % Chance, it might need lots of save reload if applied on Cuchulainn and fails.
