Who ever seen a day a retired police with such bravery would speak to masses. I foresee other enforcement officers coming forward to open up the unturned stones of GOK. After retirement sisi wote wazalendo.
Iko Nini is an archive. In future kids will listen to some of these stories in history class. Khwatenge is such a great story teller, Mwaf kama kawaida asks the right questions 💯. IKO NINI!!
This guys memory! What a gwaan! Mimi kuna na family members I don’t even know their first names . Guy is reciting all three names of everyone is his life ……. Mwaf & Ian kazi safi
Nothing is satisfying than hearing these tales from an insider of the system, so insightful..... literally Mr. Khwatenge is teaching us what our parents should but did not...this kind of knowledge is what we youngins need to know so that we can understand kenya and move on knowing where we are going....a walking Library he is....
Gen.muhammud so generous down to earth person I worked for him my first 100thousands shillings I got from him as an electrician .he realise am an ex nys service man he built alot of trust in me.once he advice me once a solder always a solder carry on with my job professionally.
Mwaf next person I can suggest you to is Lee Njiru(The President's PressMan) He has a very nice history background during the Kenyatta and Moi regime.. James Khatwenge has an awesome memory and story telling skills Big up #Iko Nini for this amazing episode
Stories like these have taken us back to the fire place. Especially when they come from people who are a few generations before us. I am glad that these are documented unlike those that were eroded when handed down. Mzungu alitushinda kidogo hapo kwa documenting, I cannot imagine how many original stories have gone to the grave.
Mzee needs to write a memoir on these things. Great episode! Also seems he could have been a rapper, just eras, the way he kept plugging "Kwani iko nini", and also the word-play on "Ji-tenge" (Khwatenge) 😅
Very good job. Please James am looking for contacts for a late police officer by names maluki mamu. He dies early 90s. He had a twin bro also mamu in GSU. Comes from kitui. Am looking for home contacts to him please
I love the history coupled with a lot of analysis of Kenyan communities. I have never seen Kenya narrated with such positivity. This is one of the most insightful Iko Nini podcasts I have ever listened to. I love the clarity and flow of this interview. Good job Mwaf with your patience to allow this legend to articulate his thoughts without interruption.
Congrats Iko nini. I like how you interject to make the story flow. Rather read this but when telling a story try to summarize it so that we get eager to buy the book.
Khwatenge is well versed with how evil the govt was, and still is How I wish you mantained the show in English instead of Swahili. Regardless, I found Khwatenges Swahili to be so smooth Invite him again and let him share whatever is in his head
Huyu jamaa is just a rumor monger... How did he know Kilonzo carried a bag of money? These are some of the hard-hitting questions you should be asking!
@@IkoNini So, how did the "cop friends" know Mutula Kilonzo carried with him A BAG FULL OF MONEY? And if that's really true, what was the money for? Dude, look, I don't know the purpose of your show, but you don't come across as a trained journalist.
