As someone who was heavily involved in their Twitter fan base during the SAT trilogy, I think a big reason why most of the core fan base turned away was because BH released a documentary after Tonya was released. It felt very vulnerable and emotional considering they touched on everything that happened with Ameer. (From what I remember this documentary was never supposed to be released after the screenings, it was a one time screening in select theatres across the country??) I remember them talking about how betrayed they felt but after releasing the documentary they started associating with Ameer almost secretively which contradicted everything they said about him. There was pictures of him backstage at their shows after he got kicked out of the group and some of the members even refollowd him on Instagram. I also remember one of their members defending Ameer’s actions and it really upset a lot of people. They totally went through a whole “cancellation” at some point after iridescence which heavily contributed to their downfall.
I listen to Brockhampton almost daily. My favorite is No Halo. I get home from work, relax a little, then turn on my e-drums and jam to any of their tracks, finishing with No Halo, which never gets old. It's perfect. I feel like it's interesting to know that I'm 47 and I found them through TH-cam comments from people saying how much they love them. I have one question for the fans: Why the name Brockhampton? I haven't found an answer yet.
I think it’s safe to say SAT1-3 got me through my freshman year of college and the breakup that went along with it. I have such vivid memories of spending hours in the darkroom of my photography class listening to the trilogy, sometimes through a portable speaker when it was just me and my friends in there. I was a little less hot on iridescence and Ginger wasn’t my thing, but I never thought they fell off. I wish I had paid more attention to Technical Difficulties, but it was so under the radar that I barely knew it was happening before it was over. The disorganization of the group and all the broken promises from Kevin definitely put me off from the group whether I knew it or not, and I think it may have contributed to the group’s demise. I’m glad the rollout for RR was as coherent as it was, because that became my favorite album of theirs; polished but regaining their style and fingerprints. Here’s hoping the final album isn’t another fleeting promise, and that it stacks up to RR
I feel you completely, The Saturation Trilogy literally helped me through my senior year of high school, moving out, and my first year of university. I remember nights I’d be up working on homework listening to nothing but Saturation II and walking to my university campus bumping Saturation III. And days I felt out of place in such a new environment I blasted Saturation I. I’ll never forget the impact they had on music and how much they helped me grow into who I am today. A real shame after the trilogy it seemed they lost a lot of that chemistry and cohesion. The albums were good but they were always missing something to me, some kind of spark wasn’t there anymore. RR definitely was the closest I got to feeling how I felt when Saturation I-III came out.
I was 16 when I discovered them in a high school college guidance trip, they are a big part of my teenage years. BLEACH and FACE remain to be amazing songs and bring me that nostalgia.
Undoubtedly ginger is the best album they ever produced. The sound, the visuals, the solidarity. It’s insane that so many hated something that in many ways is exactly what they were: a family of vocals making music for them not anyone else. And brockhampton fans and anti fans ruined it.
"Undoubtedly ginger is the best album they ever produced" Your opinion is not the truth my guy. I can only recall 2 songs from that album. For many, they picked with saturation. That's as valid as your take.
@@crastofer that’s your opinion too, you can only remember 2 songs others remember the whole album but sonically it’s the most complete. It offers the most Vulnerability for each member on things such as their problems with RCA, Ameer, and Fame. I think it takes everything good from saturation trilogy and adds it’s own charm. But it doesn’t really matter what we think, it’s the artists favorite album. They’ve said it in multiple interviews and on social media and that’s what my comment gets at. Brockhampton was always good Becsuse it wasn’t about the fans, or money, or fame. It was about growing with your friends and making good music.
@@michaelbwhiteside4135 I never said I wasn't stating my opinion, so pretty pointless to point that out. Your the one who was trying to establish your taste as the sole truth. And now you're brining in their personal opinion to keep up the narrative (As if they'll ever say their favorite projects were the ones with a guy they kicked, lmao). The only reality is that Brockhampton never managed to achieve the success they had during the saturation era. That's a fact. Then in terms of opinion, to me that's because they were to immature and gave to much into social media opinions that ended up destroying the group from the inside. In a few years when they look back I'm sure they'll regret how the ameer vann departure was handle and end up derrailing their up bringing . I'll always say that Brockhamptons should have been as big (or even more) as Billie Eilish with all the strong points they had to appeal the "zoomers". But that's the difference between having people around you that can help you manage your career. Hope they can find some solo success...
bro i honestly almost cried at the end. i’ll never forget them. i first heard face as a soundtrack to some show i was watching when i was like really going through some changes and they mesmerised me. i remember listening to 1999 wildfire all the time when i got my first job. ginger came out when i moved away from my parents. roadrunner pulled me out of a horrible depressive episode. i was listening to matt champion’s burn when i couldn’t sleep. each project means so much to me, and is tied to a particular time in my life. i actually kinda loved the fanbase back when it was still small. the irony though is that by the time they decided to split, i already moved on to different things and stopped following them so closely so it didn’t like crush me as it would a few years ago. but they’ll always hold a special place in my heart. perhance they became victims of their own success.
Maybe a small part of it was Kevin just sort of being rude and stand off ish toward fans. I know a handful of people personally that work in the industry and seen people online saying when meeting kevin In person was disappointing. I understand not feeling social or not even wanting to talk but I know Forsure that left people not really like Kevin which fucks up everything bc he’s suppose to be the leader
I honestly think Kevin just gets overwhelmed being famous I know he’s talked about how he wish he wasn’t sometimes but I still feel like he needs to show respect to the people that brought him to where he is now
Imho artists don’t owe their fans one on one interaction if they’re not feeling it. They already produce content their fans love, if they don’t want to get parasocial with it then that’s alright by me.
@@rowan-priince1860 worddd. Artists don’t owe you ANYTHING. They make art, you like it? Cool. You don’t like it? Cool. Just because you like someone’s art thus want to support them doesn’t mean they owe you anything. They didn’t ask or expect you to support them, so why do you expect anything from them. You already received the art and the vibes. Yeah it’s cool when you meet someone and they have a good personality but not everyone loves social interactions. Just cause you make good art doesn’t mean all of a sudden you are people person. As long as they aren’t straight up hating on their fans it shouldn’t be that big of a deal.
Heard BLEACH at my restaurant job one night in 2018 and was instantly hooked. Deep dived into SAT 3 and then the whole trilogy. Them shits was progressively amazinggg. Had no clue of the the drama since I was late to the party but it was good to hear more from them in the following years. Finally learning about everything, I see the changes that I could once only hear in the music. They did what they had to do to heal in public and in private, but people do change so that's a good thing. Either way these guys were legends in their own right and I'll bump their stuff any damn day.
It’s called people growing up and changing. A big group is harder to keep because they have too many brains with their own respective agendas. It was only natural and expected. And I doubt all of them were super close to become lifelong friends who keep in touch and update one another on what’s going on in their lives.
as you said the BROCKHAMPTON project may be over now, but the music is still there. you can still listen to saturation to get that eclectics, hungry south central BH if that's what you need. or ginger if that's the mood. the individuals are still there, and are gonna make "solo" music. and looking at something like Arizona baby they will probably still collaborate on there solo stuff.
man I remember the summer their show on Viceland was airing, that was such a great time for them and their music. I feel fortunate to have been following them around that era man, it really felt like you were watching/listening to something rlly special. regardless of the toxicity from the fanbase and the quality of their music towards the end, that first 3-album run was crazy, and I'm sure will be talked about for years to come.
coming back here after being at their last performance at Coachella and it was my first and last time seeing them live since being a fan since sat era, sad how life takes its course but i truly hope they decide to keep up with things musically
Been following them since right after Saturation 1 came out & saw their last performance at Coachella weekend 2. They meant so much to me in college and so many of my happy memories were during this era. Ima miss them
I found them after my first year in college. It was a terrible summer but I remember seeing the cover for saturation 2 on Apple Music and listening out of pure curiosity. Been a huge fan ever since and they were almost like a soundtrack for my 2018
i remember 2018 being an insane year as a fan. first they're on top of the world. all the talk that they'd never sign, they'd always stay indepedent. then RCA signs them. album after nearly finished album getting shown off then shelved. the stuff about ameer coming out and everybody wondering if it was true. the group still playing shows and crying on stage. and then iridesence finally drops. and i won't say it's a bad album at all cuz some of my favorite tracks are on it. but as a listener you can definitely feel the hole they're trying to fill emotionally. feels like the year just kicked them all out from under their feet and they never really got their full footing again. i wonder a lot what it would be like if they stayed on their trajectory and kept pushing out multiple albums a year including all the canceled ones, and if ameer hadn't done what he'd done or if it never came to light. but that's not really realistic either and it's the way things are. i'll always stay a fan but i respect them doing what they feel is right too. no artist has lit the internet on fire like brockhampton did bruh
Damn, I hope you can make a video revisiting BH now that Kevin dropped the official last 2 projects of the group. He reveals so much on The Family and a breakdown of the album would make for an amazing video. Other than that, I enjoyed watching this video because it took me back to when the Saturation trilogy dropped in 2017 and I was in my second semester of college. I remember being in the parking lot in between classes and just listening to Saturation I and II and just vibing. Keep up the great work and much love!
I will! Don’t expect it right away tho I got a couple other videos in the pipeline before I get to that one plus I wanna sit with it for awhile I’m not too sure what to say about them yet. Thanks for watching tho I appreciate it ❤️
I believe strongly if they individually had more freedom for solo projects they probably could’ve done really good ESOECIALLY bearface. But I could be wrong saying this, but if I recall correctly Kevin made them sign a contract this didn’t allow them to do anything solo and Kevin was the only one able to drop a solo project. Again I could be extremely uneducated but from what I remember that was part of the contract and if so in my opinion would be a huge factor into them kind of “fading”.
it was the fanbase. 100%. revelled in a toxic atmosphere around the group. annoying, demanding, overbearing. refused to move on from the era that was their favorite- normally SATURATION II and III but sometimes iridescence and GINGER or even the unreleased albums lmao. then those people who “moved from from their brockhampton phase” and proceeded to constantly shit on the group and spread the forged google doc allegations to justify their embarrassment for once liking the group - they were the most unbearable. a lot of these people seem to hate Kevin personally for whatever reason. it’s pathetic and proved why many of the members didn’t want to be famous and stepped back from having a presence on socials around 2019. Kevin’s the only one who tries to get their name out there right now for the final album cuz he’s used to this shit.
ive been listening to bh since i heard dirt on accident from randomly skipping through a kanye west pandora radio station. when fantano covered them later i found out it was the same group. their music had changed so much. and they dropped 3 albums in one year. it was fucking cool. when the shit with ameer happened i stopped following the drama. id seen it in other fanbases and fan related things that this was going to get bad. i rarely ever saw people calling bh cringe or what have you. maybe its because i still liked their output and refused to look at their social media. but to me their last group of albums was even better than saturation. having gone through such a tramautic event, they had to rethink and retool themselves. lick some wounds. by the end the same introspective and crazy music was in service of healing and understanding. roadrunner ending and having the theme of death discussed throughout hit me so hard. still one of the best groups to ever do it
BH ending just feels like Odd Future phasing out around 2015, but on steroids. A lot of people really didn’t like “i don’t like shit, i don’t go outside” by Earl or “Cherry Bomb” from Tyler and wanted them both to go back to their old sound and even release another Odd Future mixtape/comp. A lot of people hated the fanbase at the time too. But now everyone in Odd Future and The Internet are doing their thing and the toxicity is gone (apart from Steve Lacy vs TikTok fans lmao)
yk. i really truly think brockhampton was just ahead of their time. if their beginning albums came out today, their fanbase would be totally different. i see people now stanning brockhampton after everything and making it more mainstream which makes me angry bc it's like, how are you gonna make fun of them during sat, iridescence, etc and then hop on them when they're done. long story short, yall did brockhampton BEYOND DIRTY
Honestly the worst thing or one of the worst. Was that they dropped 3 of their BEST albums in the same year, what the fuck? Why? They could’ve milked it. Not even just milking it. But giving the albums time to be released, listened to, streamed. Let the heat die down and then boom just release the next one. But they burnt them self’s out quick asf trying to bang out project after project
Imma miss brockhampton and I actually enjoyed alot of their music, just depends on my mood. Best wishes to the whole boy band and to each member in their endeavers
Ordinary people can do extraordinary things. Well put. This video shows you don’t have to have hundreds of thousands of subscribers to make great videos. This is why the “algorithm“ is so bad. It doesn’t allow content to speak for itself and TH-cam will often throw some attention your way, make you dance, and abandon you not long after. I don’t mean the community on TH-cam, while they may think your content fell off, it’s often TH-cam that gave them that idea, by no longer recommending your videos. TH-cam does this to make their platform appear free, as in, they want you to believe you can make it big. It’s a lie. I think you should create a channel on odyssey, Lbry, and patroon (I don’t know of a pattern alternative off hand. People are more than willing to support content they love, and services like pattern allow people to do that 10x as much as TH-cam ever could. Best of luck!
honestly i haven't listened to their entire discography yet but JUNKY, BOY BYE, HEAT, BERLIN, BUZZCUT, DONT SHOOT UP THE PARTY, and BLEACH are literally some of my top songs of the past few months. not to mention Matt Champion's release of Salud; that shit finna be on my yearly recap. I got into them sorta 2021 [bleach] but then really went hard this year. tbf ameer's bars on Heat are a bit sus "i love to watch em squirm, i love when bitches bleed" bro like same but
Losing Ameer Vann was definitely the catalyst for the falloff, and that’s really undeniable to me. He brought a certain ruggedness to the group that prevented the “boyband” from actually sounding like one. I genuinely think if he was still there they’d still be ascending. They were better together.
I think some people overstate how badly Roadrunner performed compared to their other albums. SAT 3, iridescence and GINGER all benefited from the old billboard rules that counted bundles as sales- which massively overinflated so many artist’s numbers. basically only Taylor Swift and Adele haven’t been affected by the rule change- literally the biggest artists in the world. considering how huge Sugar was it was obviously a disappointment, but I think it’s more of a stagnation than a regression exposure wise. tbh it’s easily their best album for me alongside SAT 1 and iri.
this is so interesting because i've never been part of the fanbase but always appreciated the music. in europe they were relatively unkown and i only know 1 other person who is a fan in real life. idk why they ever became cringy in the us
This video was great. Thank you for hitting a lot of the brockhampton background. I also like the message you mentioned at the end. I always will love brockhampton
I remember my first listen by them being HEAT. At the time I didn’t listen to that type of music so I skipped till Saturation 3 released and I gave it another try. I was listening to more experimental and heavier music coming to it. Also I watched a lot of Shawn Cee so when he did Sat 3 I gave it another try and enjoyed it. I went through the other songs and to this day from Sat 1-3 HEAT is one of my top 5 of that era.
Rumour has it one time Oloff was sat next to Jar Jar Binks on a flight. Jar Jar kept kicking the chair in front of him and generally being obnoxious, nobody knew what to do. Eventually one of the flight attendants came over and asked Oloff if he would perform one of his songs to calm Jar Jar down, and when Oloff began rapping the first verse to Doing It Stealthy, Jar Jar immediately relaxed. To this day the two are still close friends.
I can’t even pick a fave album… those 3 1990 songs! 😍. Also, I would argue that this was not a “fall” because it seems to be on their own terms (besides probably being forced to put out one more album). I had never stanned any artist before them. When I listen to their music in the future, it’ll bring me back to my early 20s 🥰
I listen to Doing It Stealthy by Oloff whenever I need therapy. Yeah, I could pay $300 an hour for some college clown to tell me what to feel, or I could just smash great big fucking coconuts on my head and listen to my favourite song over and over again.
Dope video, I actually started listening to Ameer first and I didn't realize he was a member of Brockhampton until like a month later lol. I went to Coachella this year and saw Brockhampton perform which made me get into their music so this video definitely helped
I think they did go out with a bang. The middle few albums after saturation were enjoyable but not memorable for me, but roadrunner was a fantastic album easily the same quality as the saturation trilogy. I'm kind of pissed they cancelled the tours though, I waited 2 years of covid and it being pushed back, they even announce more tour dates, then cancel all except London for clearly bullshit reasons, then shortly after announce the breakup.
I found most of Saturation to be closer to what you’d hear on mainstream rap but on an indie label. And it was made independently. But iridescence was a masterpiece in the regard of being unique and sensitive. For me, it’s hard to top that album. Not a lot about “hoes”, objectifying women, or just being about money and flexing. And not too over the top depression catering like Lil peep or xxx (they were obviously hurt souls but t wasn’t subtle enough imo RIP both tho still talented). It was the perfect balance for me. Reminiscent of some 90s rap. Great band and great record.
i first heard abt them when they dropped buzzcut and i actually started to listen to them around the time they broke up and i was pissed cuz i was so behind, and the whole reason i decided to listen to them was cuz i saw they were coming to my city and i thought i might as well get into some of their stuff. Now i realize i should've tried listening to them when i first found them since they're my favorite group of all time now.
Like frfr sugar is my least favorite song because it went viral and BROCKHAMPTON is more then just sugar but i can say you make my point in this whole video

I have heard the name before but never really looked into it and clearly never absorbed any info about them …. this just made me feel so old…
I remember finding them after my first breakup (after Saturation 3 but before Ameer’s Allegations) and it was just an incredible experience. Everything was just amazing and they just hit a perfect balance of artistic intent and mainstream appeal. Then Ameer happened. And they signed to RCA. Then…they lost their bullet.
i just recently found an interest in brockhamptons music about 6 months ago. i didn’t know their back story or their scandals and it kinda sucks because now i feel like i should be embarrassed to be listening to them, especially now. i don’t know who they are or what their fanbase is really like but I just like the music. that’s all it is, and i wish i didn’t have to feel weird about it now 😅

RR definitely was the closest I got to feeling how I felt when Saturation I-III came out.
great vid! Brockhampton was a big part of my high school years. I hope that the members achieve big things, whatever they are doing.
You were born after 2000
@@shadowaccount You’re keeping yourself miserable lol. Why are you so fixated on people being younger than you? I genuinely don’t get it
I was 16 when I discovered them in a high school college guidance trip, they are a big part of my teenage years.
I don't agree. Saturation 3 and roadrunner are their best.
There are 1-3 songs worth listening to on ginger, imo it was their worst album, not bad but it wasn't good to me at least
bro i honestly almost cried at the end. i’ll never forget them. i first heard face as a soundtrack to some show i was watching when i was like really going through some changes and they mesmerised me. i remember listening to 1999 wildfire all the time when i got my first job. ginger came out when i moved away from my parents. roadrunner pulled me out of a horrible depressive episode. i was listening to matt champion’s burn when i couldn’t sleep. each project means so much to me, and is tied to a particular time in my life. i actually kinda loved the fanbase back when it was still small. the irony though is that by the time they decided to split, i already moved on to different things and stopped following them so closely so it didn’t like crush me as it would a few years ago. but they’ll always hold a special place in my heart. perhance they became victims of their own success.
I honestly think Kevin just gets overwhelmed being famous I know he’s talked about how he wish he wasn’t sometimes but I still feel like he needs to show respect to the people that brought him to where he is now
I've met Kevin twice and never felt that tbh
As long as they aren’t straight up hating on their fans it shouldn’t be that big of a deal.
thank you for making this, I got emotional at the end ❤
Great vid- still not sure why more people didn’t love roadrunner, it’s easily their best album
Linus yoo
Holy W
I absolutely loved that project
Allegations killed their name for a lot of long time fans, at least from what I witnessed from ppl, it became very lame to like Brockhampton
@@sneakytacos773 only on twitter tho
I remember staying up late to see the Jimmy Kimmel performance and seeing it in this video made me so emotional 😭
Hell of a video man.well edited, great takes, and just an overall solid watch. Thanks for a small if recent piece of rap history
Watching this video half way through and realized this video has a little under 1000 view?! Like how this is great quality.
Deserves more views, great video man!
Thank you so much!
as you said the BROCKHAMPTON project may be over now, but the music is still there. you can still listen to saturation to get that eclectics, hungry south central BH if that's what you need. or ginger if that's the mood. the individuals are still there, and are gonna make "solo" music. and looking at something like Arizona baby they will probably still collaborate on there solo stuff.
really pissed me off when everyone started hating on BH. they’ve released masterpieces.
When they stopped living in the same house it just didnt feel the same anymore.
man I remember the summer their show on Viceland was airing, that was such a great time for them and their music.
Ima miss them
And even later interviews Kevin just seems annoyed or tired and just doesn’t make you as a fan care as much bc it doesn’t look like they do you know
Watching this a day before the family album release
I found them after my first year in college. It was a terrible summer but I remember seeing the cover for saturation 2 on Apple Music and listening out of pure curiosity. Been a huge fan ever since and they were almost like a soundtrack for my 2018
Great video man. Hope your channel takes off.
Thank you so much for making this video
i remember 2018 being an insane year as a fan. first they're on top of the world. all the talk that they'd never sign, they'd always stay indepedent. then RCA signs them. album after nearly finished album getting shown off then shelved. the stuff about ameer coming out and everybody wondering if it was true. the group still playing shows and crying on stage. and then iridesence finally drops. and i won't say it's a bad album at all cuz some of my favorite tracks are on it. but as a listener you can definitely feel the hole they're trying to fill emotionally. feels like the year just kicked them all out from under their feet and they never really got their full footing again.
i wonder a lot what it would be like if they stayed on their trajectory and kept pushing out multiple albums a year including all the canceled ones, and if ameer hadn't done what he'd done or if it never came to light. but that's not really realistic either and it's the way things are. i'll always stay a fan but i respect them doing what they feel is right too. no artist has lit the internet on fire like brockhampton did bruh
I saw them in 2018 at Sydney and it was fucking amazing. Sad to see this era end but excited and happy for them as well.
Me too. I had to leave during, but I'm glad I at least got to see two songs 😩
Thanks for watching tho I appreciate it ❤️
@@maxidad8357 Of course, bro! Take your time. Absolutely no rush. Much love 🫶🏼
Im pretty sure they're gonna release 1 more album
Nah they done
they were going to but then they broke up
😔
this aged well
U were right
it was the fanbase. 100%. revelled in a toxic atmosphere around the group. annoying, demanding, overbearing. refused to move on from the era that was their favorite- normally SATURATION II and III but sometimes iridescence and GINGER or even the unreleased albums lmao. then those people who “moved from from their brockhampton phase” and proceeded to constantly shit on the group and spread the forged google doc allegations to justify their embarrassment for once liking the group - they were the most unbearable. a lot of these people seem to hate Kevin personally for whatever reason. it’s pathetic and proved why many of the members didn’t want to be famous and stepped back from having a presence on socials around 2019. Kevin’s the only one who tries to get their name out there right now for the final album cuz he’s used to this shit.
ive been listening to bh since i heard dirt on accident from randomly skipping through a kanye west pandora radio station. when fantano covered them later i found out it was the same group. their music had changed so much. and they dropped 3 albums in one year. it was fucking cool.
when the shit with ameer happened i stopped following the drama. id seen it in other fanbases and fan related things that this was going to get bad. i rarely ever saw people calling bh cringe or what have you. maybe its because i still liked their output and refused to look at their social media. but to me their last group of albums was even better than saturation. having gone through such a tramautic event, they had to rethink and retool themselves. lick some wounds. by the end the same introspective and crazy music was in service of healing and understanding. roadrunner ending and having the theme of death discussed throughout hit me so hard.
still one of the best groups to ever do it
Oh I guess this was before the two full length records dropped in 2022 and we realized over half the members are making independent stuff.
But now everyone in Odd Future and The Internet are doing their thing and the toxicity is gone (apart from Steve Lacy vs TikTok fans lmao)
when your own fans are making false allegations towards you for attention/social experiments , you know something's wrong.
can't lie, I really miss these guys
Man, why does everyone have to take everything so damn seriously. It was a pleasure to see these dudes and their creative journey. Cool shit.
yk. i really truly think brockhampton was just ahead of their time. if their beginning albums came out today, their fanbase would be totally different. i see people now stanning brockhampton after everything and making it more mainstream which makes me angry bc it's like, how are you gonna make fun of them during sat, iridescence, etc and then hop on them when they're done. long story short, yall did brockhampton BEYOND DIRTY
Hey great video! What's the song starting with the "moving forward" section at 19:24?
Stains. Saturation 3
@@angelsolis2393 Thanks!
They were better together.
they don't consider 'boyband' a perjorative. may wanna reword your comment, bud.
@@sbp4215 They call themselves a boyband, I wasn’t name calling.
@@sbp4215they literally use that term to describe themselves 😂
I think some people overstate how badly Roadrunner performed compared to their other albums. SAT 3, iridescence and GINGER all benefited from the old billboard rules that counted bundles as sales- which massively overinflated so many artist’s numbers. basically only Taylor Swift and Adele haven’t been affected by the rule change- literally the biggest artists in the world. considering how huge Sugar was it was obviously a disappointment, but I think it’s more of a stagnation than a regression exposure wise. tbh it’s easily their best album for me alongside SAT 1 and iri.
PARIS TEXAS is the future
Love them
I walk around like I’m the shit I think that it’s a force habit
idk if anyone has brought this up yet but for corpus christi you put a picture of south padre island lmao
this is so interesting because i've never been part of the fanbase but always appreciated the music. in europe they were relatively unkown and i only know 1 other person who is a fan in real life. idk why they ever became cringy in the us
I like how your narration at the end just got all sandloty :)
This video was great. Thank you for hitting a lot of the brockhampton background. I also like the message you mentioned at the end. I always will love brockhampton
Wow bro great video.. well made and well spoken 🙏
Lamb is my fav song😭💙✋
Great video! 👏👏🤝😁
this needs more view breh good job
This is actually a really good summary. Thank you!
I love how y'all talking about the rise and fall meanwhile Iridescence and Roadrunner are literally their best albums lmfao
I love Ginger, it was literally how i discovered them, and how i discovered Saturation and all their work an why i became a fan
I don’t listen to brockhampton but this was a well done video. Downloading the Saturation trilogy now!
The closest we gave to brockhampton rn is definitely AG Club! Whoever doesn't know them, check them out ASAP
True
What’s the song being played at 20:58

Great video man, made me laugh and perfectly summed up my own thoughts and feelings. Subbed!
I feel very fortunate that I saw them live in early 2018 shortly before Ameer was booted. Definitely a top 10 show I’ve been to
I think they did go out with a bang. The middle few albums after saturation were enjoyable but not memorable for me, but roadrunner was a fantastic album easily the same quality as the saturation trilogy. I'm kind of pissed they cancelled the tours though, I waited 2 years of covid and it being pushed back, they even announce more tour dates, then cancel all except London for clearly bullshit reasons, then shortly after announce the breakup.
what’s song has the beat starting at 16:17
SWEET
The last album is coming out in a few days..
Why is nobody acknowledging this fact in the comments?
Puppy was the last brockhampton album i was exited for tbh
I found most of Saturation to be closer to what you’d hear on mainstream rap but on an indie label. And it was made independently. But iridescence was a masterpiece in the regard of being unique and sensitive. For me, it’s hard to top that album. Not a lot about “hoes”, objectifying women, or just being about money and flexing. And not too over the top depression catering like Lil peep or xxx (they were obviously hurt souls but t wasn’t subtle enough imo RIP both tho still talented). It was the perfect balance for me. Reminiscent of some 90s rap. Great band and great record.
what was the song in 0:50?

i first heard abt them when they dropped buzzcut and i actually started to listen to them around the time they broke up and i was pissed cuz i was so behind, and the whole reason i decided to listen to them was cuz i saw they were coming to my city and i thought i might as well get into some of their stuff. Now i realize i should've tried listening to them when i first found them since they're my favorite group of all time now.
Like frfr sugar is my least favorite song because it went viral and BROCKHAMPTON is more then just sugar but i can say you make my point in this whole video
Holy Fuck… I’m turning into my father… not even trying to be funny I genuinely thought Brock Hampton was a guy who was famous for some shit I wouldn’t care about like tik tok or something.
Great job on telling this story!
"too many dudes" would of summed it up

I met Oloff at a supermarket once and asked him ''How did you write Doing It Stealthy?'' he didn't answer, he was too busy paying for his asparagus.

Whats the nice piano song right at the end?
i just recently found an interest in brockhamptons music about 6 months ago. i didn’t know their back story or their scandals and it kinda sucks because now i feel like i should be embarrassed to be listening to them, especially now. i don’t know who they are or what their fanbase is really like but I just like the music. that’s all it is, and i wish i didn’t have to feel weird about it now 😅
You shouldn’t feel weird, if you like it you should just enjoy it the other stuff doesn’t matter at the end of the day it’s all about the music
Reminds me of when a friend of mine was getting into RnB and didn’t know what R Kelly did, but then found out about his whole thing
