There's already video clips of Hanyu's practice with new program. SP: Let Me Entertain You (chor. Jeffrey Buttle) FS: Ten to Ji To (天と地と) or Heaven and Earth (chor. Shae Lynn Borne) No drastic change in his program layout. And I feel like this will be his programs for Olympics 2022. (Edited now after Men’s SP) During Hanyu’s interview before the start of the of the Japan Nationals, he knows already that he cannot do his program perfectly and he cannot simply input his other difficult elements as he practiced on his own. But he still wants to give his best for Japan Nationals. After SP (with 0 score on CSSpin): He knows that he made mistakes in his program and will just improve it the next time. It seemed that the whole no-coaching team with him during pandemic affected his training greatly. And most of his time was spent then to finish his thesis.
Watching Ladies Categories on both Japan and Russian Nationals makes me feel sorry for the Russian girls. It seemed that their competitiveness is breaking them.
Oh Russian and Japanese Nationals are my gift for Christmas after 2 weeks no FS competition to watch. So much things to see... But 1 thing I highly anticipate is Hanyu new programs debut, hope it won't disappoint.
Re: Shoma, TH-cam and the dogs: his brother runs the channel that uploads the dog videos, and Shoma/his management run the other. While he was in Switzerland, his mother was with him to watch the older puppy. The younger puppy stayed behind in Japan with his brother. According to my timeline on twitter, at least. There also is a calendar just of the dogs.
I thought that Toro (the pup that's with Shoma) was the younger pup? I'm pretty sure that the first pup bonded to Itsuki (the brother) and then when they got Toro, Toro bonded to Shoma...
Yuzu will likely hide his music until the day of official practice/the sp. He tried to hide his music for 4CC but the ISU had to upload the skater bio pages so the surprise was a bit ruined lol. JSF won't do that though so we really won't know until the last moment.

She believed her own hype supported by the fact that she experienced inflation until there was no one to challenge her until Alina Zagitova who was infinitely more talented than her seriously inelegant FORCED JUMPS. But David and Jonathan already mentioned it. She has become a caricature of herself. Her drama and entitlement is crazy. Glad that she wasn’t undeservedly crowned at the Olympics. Alina has her deficiencies especially now but in 2018, she deserved her accolades on all fronts from technical to artistic esp her spins.

I think Russians think of their own swear words as more real, and the English ones can be used however they see fit. There's a culture involved of how to use, who is saying them, who you can say them around, etc. It's very structured and I never got the full "rules" so I never tried saying them because I know it would be offensive (especially coming from a woman, because that's still a thing, apparently?) However, we (and they) are free to f-word all over the place. 🤣

Charlie and Tanith White ought to commentate, if not Adam Rippon and Ashley Wagner. There needs to be some educational content, and Lipinski and Weir are severely lacking in this area.

That is correct. Russia was banned for two years from all major sporting events (until December 16, 2022). Athletes who can prove they are clean can compete as neutral athletes.

A lot of the hardcore fanyus call you guys T*L because they don't get your humour and think you're so mean they treat your show's name like a swear word . I've always found you to be funny and I've always admired how much you truly love this sport. It's obvious to anyone who actually listens to what you have to say that you want the best out of and for every skater, even the ones you're not exactly fond of. Anyone who got upset about the Zhenya/DannyG stuff last time is either entirely oblivious or just wants to be offended on behalf of Zhenya (who I think would probably have had a laugh herself anyway). It was pretty obvious that you were poking fun at how ridiculous the Russian drama has been and at that Eteri isn't kidding anyone by acting like she just took Zhenya back as a kindness. You don't need to explain yourself to those people. Have a happy Russian and Japanese nationals and Christmas!
Couple of things I am excited about this week: - Russian nationals: men definitely Kolyada. That FS is sublime, I saw an interview saying that he planned to add 4Lz and 4S for the last Russian stage but you know what happened with that. Assuming that he is able to come back to training after getting sick, who knows how much effect that Covid did to his body and time lost because he couldn't train would deter his conditioning (well conditioning is important after all, and Rus Nats is basically the peak where he must perform to his best this season). Ladies event not so much, it would be a cutthroat event for sure but I've lost interest for Russian ladies this season because no programs really caught my attention and the 3A are now not in their peak conditions. Pairs would also be a good competition, I've grown to like Mishina/ Galiamov and several other Russian pair skaters. Dance... well I could skip the event and I bet I wouldn't be too sad watching the replays. - Japanese nationals: men event, I am excited for Hanyu's new programs as well as Uno and Kagiyama performances. Ladies event is so much more interesting though, I want to see Kihira's new programs as well as watching Sakamoto and Higuchi. A lot of other skaters such as Miyahara, Matsuike are to watch as well. Definitely the event that I have to watch from the start. Dance just to watch Daisuke lol. Since several events between Rusian nats and Japanese nats overlap, we really need to decide which one to watch. Nevertheless it's going to be a fun week.

As far as Japan goes, I’m anxious to see Shoma Uno, Kagiyama and Rika, not to mention Daiskue Takahashi ,,,,but I expect the same old same old programs from Hanyu.,,,my interest in him has waned quite a bit. In Canada, Sadovsky, and a few other men I’m anxious to see, Piper and Paul I’m anxious to see, but the Ladies , as almost always, and Pairs will probably be a sad state of affairs.
Absolutely watch the Mary Tyler Moore/Katherine Healy movie - "Six Weeks". Looking back, I think it received very poor reviews overall but my 8 year old self was obsessed with the movie in addition to Katherine's book.

I think they should have taken the middle ground and banned Russia from all the team events so that there are actual consequences but without screwing the athletes by completely banning the country

I think Russians think of their own swear words as more real, and the English ones can be used however they see fit. There's a culture involved of how to use, who is saying them, who you can say them around, etc. It's very structured and I never got the full "rules" so I never tried saying them because I know it would be offensive (especially coming from a woman, because that's still a thing, apparently?) However, we (and they) are free to f-word all over the place. 🤣
Yeah, also Russian people in general don't speak English, so I can say it near my mum or even sometimes my teacher. I think that the usage of cursive in the US doesn't really differ from the situation in Russia. At least I didn't feel much difference

Tara Lipinski is the worst commentator in my opinion. Can’t stand her voice and never says anything interesting.
She and Johnny Weir should be terminated. They give absolutely no enlightening commentary to the viewers, especially for those who are curious and are new to the sport. Charlie and Tanith White ought to commentate, if not Adam Rippon and Ashley Wagner. There needs to be some educational content, and Lipinski and Weir are severely lacking in this area.

No peacock. Fuji TV and Fuji TV One will broadcast it live, you can watch it via iSakuraPro (98 Channels), search for japannettv dot com and then Channels 5 and 66. 3 days trial is 3.50 $. You can also watch free Fuji TV streams but then you won't be able to watch the events on Fuji TV One. Or watch the liveqq guy who is reliable.

That is correct. Russia was banned for two years from all major sporting events (until December 16, 2022). Athletes who can prove they are clean can compete as neutral athletes.

A lot of the hardcore fanyus call you guys T*L because they don't get your humour and think you're so mean they treat your show's name like a swear word . I've always found you to be funny and I've always admired how much you truly love this sport. It's obvious to anyone who actually listens to what you have to say that you want the best out of and for every skater, even the ones you're not exactly fond of. Anyone who got upset about the Zhenya/DannyG stuff last time is either entirely oblivious or just wants to be offended on behalf of Zhenya (who I think would probably have had a laugh herself anyway). It was pretty obvious that you were poking fun at how ridiculous the Russian drama has been and at that Eteri isn't kidding anyone by acting like she just took Zhenya back as a kindness. You don't need to explain yourself to those people. Have a happy Russian and Japanese nationals and Christmas!
Someone just started to start something on Twitter over an obvious joke they didn't get from 2012. It is what it is.
Couple of things I am excited about this week:
- Russian nationals: men definitely Kolyada. That FS is sublime, I saw an interview saying that he planned to add 4Lz and 4S for the last Russian stage but you know what happened with that. Assuming that he is able to come back to training after getting sick, who knows how much effect that Covid did to his body and time lost because he couldn't train would deter his conditioning (well conditioning is important after all, and Rus Nats is basically the peak where he must perform to his best this season). Ladies event not so much, it would be a cutthroat event for sure but I've lost interest for Russian ladies this season because no programs really caught my attention and the 3A are now not in their peak conditions. Pairs would also be a good competition, I've grown to like Mishina/ Galiamov and several other Russian pair skaters. Dance... well I could skip the event and I bet I wouldn't be too sad watching the replays.
- Japanese nationals: men event, I am excited for Hanyu's new programs as well as Uno and Kagiyama performances. Ladies event is so much more interesting though, I want to see Kihira's new programs as well as watching Sakamoto and Higuchi. A lot of other skaters such as Miyahara, Matsuike are to watch as well. Definitely the event that I have to watch from the start. Dance just to watch Daisuke lol.
Since several events between Rusian nats and Japanese nats overlap, we really need to decide which one to watch. Nevertheless it's going to be a fun week.

In the consumer society, these objects of desire are "continually created" without referring to real needs, and have a clear exponent in the media and advertising.
