I've heard so many people (who don't even like Roblox) praise Doors so much, I knew it had to be good considering Roblox is actually a pretty good platform for game-developing if you ignore it's never used properly, but I didn't know it was THIS good, holy shit
I thought id never see a roblox game that impresses me, but damn this is actually really well made and polished. The animations are smooth and the music is fantastic, not to mention the fact it owns how goofy roblox looks without trying to make it look like a “traditional” horror game, and it genuinely has some good scares! I also love the names of all the monsters, theyre a perfect mix of silly yet mysterious
Wasn't there a game where a guy just recreate a horror game onto roblox and it gets a ton of attention. So much so that the original creator demand it get taken down from roblox. I don't remember if it was this game or a different one.

But its randomness that tries it's best to avoid unfair deaths (not spawning rush when there are not enough closets for 4 people for instance) so moments like this when first room fails to load and then rush gets triggered are exceptionally rare.
9:56 That is an extremely rare case of glitched room glitch. So basically the room you were trying to get too did not load correctly so glitch came and teleported you there. (Normally he comes to teleport you to your friends when your so far behind)
I didn't expect Charlie to learn how to do all of that in just a few rounds of doors, no tutorials, no watching videos about it- that is actually awesome man

I’d say this is the one game I’ve constantly replayed on Roblox and never had a sense of being bored, the loop is perfect, the one downside is that there are hardly any games on Roblox that I can personally say hold a candle to this. I’m stoked to follow the updates for this game.
Forgotten Memories just exploded recently as well, it ALSO has a ton of polish. It's actually really hype getting games of this quality from Roblox since I personally LOVE the avatar creation.

when i started doors i didnt play it as a horror game so i died once to each monster (except 0 times to room 50, and 10 times to halt, because i didnt understand that one for a while somehow)
It's not a rare entity, Glitch is literally a fail-save in this game. Whenever a room doesn't load in time, he spawns, whenever you fall out of the map, he spawns, whenever the room you're in unloads, he spawns. He doesn't just happen randomly
@@KingOzymandias_ it's exceedingly rare for glitch to happen randomly - that time it was because the room didn't load. you can see he gets paused on the door for a bit.
@@Corsaka You’re over exaggerating, you can get it to happen if you just play for a hour or two, in my 4 hours of total playtime I’ve had glitch come up 6 times due to room generation.
5:06 for anyone that doesn’t play doors, ambush has a 0.5% chance going up every door after door 5 so Charlie had a 1% chance to get ambush on door 6 which is insanely lucky
It was so cool meeting Charlie yesterday. My car broke down on the highway and he came to help. And then he absorbed me in his gloop. I woke up this morning, very moist in the sewers, covered in his gloop. A very cool experience. Thanks Charlie!

The main reason they're not seen is an amazing light is the frankly ludicrous amount of pay to win games, exploitative branding in said games, pedophilia and grooming amongst dev teams, as well as having a literal stock market/cryptocurrency for kids
Experienced actual fear when the chase music from Blood in the Bayou (a mini horror campaign on the Patreon for Just Roll with it) began playing. That story has me all sorts of messed up. So good though.
Another couple good Roblox horror games that my buddies and I have found through our extensive ventures to find playable horror games on there are The Mimic and Frigid Dusk. The Mimic is immensely popular, but Frigid Dusk is probably the best Roblox game I’ve ever played. It actually was scary for us to play and the movement is more akin to a FPS than a Roblox game with the camera shake, sprinting and crouching. Would highly recommend, especially if they add more content to it eventually. Edit: They have added Part 1 of Chapter 2 to Frigid Dusk as of a few days ago. Played through it with my buddies, was fun.

Roblox is a genuine platform with actual potential for indie game developing, the problem being it's usually only used for low effort cash grabs that depend on children wanting to roleplay, so I understand why people get surprised when someone actually makes a good game there for once.
Yeah, it makes it so you learn by playing and you get better by learning, unlike the information being given to you then the rest of the game being simple.
As a kid I played Roblox a lot and there were great games on there. Nowadays it is sad to see the amount of simulators and repeated games when there are creators out there, like the developers of Doors who have created quality game experiences. Roblox is a great platform to create games I just wished there were more like this.
The most terrifying part is no intro to make me question existence. Truly eldritch like Blood in the Bayou which you should definitely listen to this spooky season
i genuinely think the only issue with doors is that there aren’t enough monsters. there are really only 3 (2 in non-dark rooms) monsters in most of the game and they’re all super predictable. something else like shriek would really help make the experience more interesting
I dont think they want to add more monsters for these doors since theirs gonna be 100+ more doors, they may be saving ideas for monsters for upcoming doors

Actually rush and ambush only spawn in rooms with 2 or more closets, not always rooms with guaranteed 4
