i think her formal education was still done in China, but she's probably really interested in Chinese literature, as she stated he's a big fan of Wuxia, and the writing style of JinYong Gulong tend to be more classical Chinese, so it forces you to become well-read.

To the novel readers, the lines "I just wish your heart is like my heart / and I will never betray this love between us" has an extra layer of significance. It is a famous confession scene in the novel: Wen Kexing traced the words onto Zhou Zishu's palm. This is, arguably, THE WenZhou poem. When the line appeared in SHL/WoH, I legit screamed.

You could've stay neutral but no, you showed your true colors. Thank you so much for another educational lesson from WoH, the script writer definitely has a wide range of knowledge about classic Chinese poems and it just make this drama more special. We just not fangirling for wenzhou but we got tons of classic Chinese poetry n thank god we have you to guide n explain it to us non Chinese speakers eventho i guess the English translation will never be as good as the original meaning cause sometime it'll be always lose in translation and English cannot capture the beauty like in the original language.

I think my WOH journey would never be complete without the additional knowledge from reviewer like you. So thank you very very much. As part of my WOH journey I have also bought the book 天涯客 which just arrived today. Read it or not, the book should be part of my WOH journey, plus the fan, the hairpin and the dolls from Youku 😜. WOH is not a drama I could or should move on from Becos it’s so meaningful and it’s engraved in my heart. Plus the speech of ZZH to GJ in the concert, ZZH to me immediately 封神, 山河令 封神. 天涯客forever 山河令 forever 😢♥️

Thank you very much for this second poetry references. I really appreciate you for taking your time and sharing it with us. The scriptwriter is such a brilliant writer indeed. Loved how she incorporated all these beautiful poetry into this drama. That’s one of the things that make WOH so amazing.
I seriously don’t remember coming across any anti-hero protagonist like Wen Kexing. He’s such a complex multi dimensional character. He can be cute, funny, scary, badass, etc. Not only he’s powerful, he is also a shameless flirt that is so well versed in poetry. For now, he’s my favorite character in C-drama. Idk if there will be any other character in the future that is better than him for me.

Convey something only with particular words/poetry chns ppl would understand the whole situasion. This is the best of mandsein chrc as language/writing.
I think, realize how much materials from SHL, drama itself, detail of drama, refering drama materials, until rps stories, cps, I think I need 1000 yrs to finishing life on the mountain. I found Rebel Princess to be the best so far.
The second best until now is the Imperial Coroner..I hope it can stay that way until the final episode.
Word of Honor is only an average show to me.
Ni Chang? Not for me, I stopped watching it already.
My Heroic Husband is also very good but only the first half. The second half up to final episode sucks.

I like Ye Baiyi’s last line (the line is off screen, and the scene on screen is WKX’s losing his consciousness and his hands sliding off Ah Xu’s hands in the Weapon Armoury): no one stays young forever, but there are always people in youth (难寻少年时,总有少年来). It seems to be the scriptwriter’s own creation, not in the book, and not from an existing poem. Indeed, the two immortal gods are in their eternal youth in the mountain.

Not only that I'm really interested in your videos about Shan He Ling but only loveee how you pronounced English and those Chinese quotes/words that very precious and easy to hear as I'm studying Chinese at the moment. Sending love from Vietnam 🥰.
