They were friends for a long ass time and then fought each other. Imperius and Tyrael fight each other on two different occasions. Izual is another GREAT example. Or Malthael's turncoating? I don't know man, Blizzard themselves turn former friends towards eachother all the time in their own story line, so why wouldn't a mod do the same?
