This was a very informative presentation addressing several questions I had regarding grid tie, grid interactive, and stand alone systems and how they all work. The information was well presented and easily understandable to a novice such as myself.
I noticed a few comments complaining about the lack of professionalism, difficulty in understanding the presenter, etc., which is nonsense, and I might add had a hint of racism. The presenter was very professional in his presentation of information on numerous subjects, and easy to understand. To the whiners, if you cannot appreciate what was offered here you could always go out and pay for your information.
Thanks Outback Power for this free service, and thanks to the presenter for helping a layperson to erase much of the confusion involved in getting solar energy from the sun to my AC outlets. That's what really matters here!

He is so knowledgable that what is implied as understood in his descriptions and explanations is very comprehensive and I can judge other videos by how much they impart as well. I'm glad I didn't "knee-jerk" at the schematics and that I stopped and listened to what he had to say. Real informative and helpful. There's nothing worse than trying to decide which product to buy and not being able to get out of your own way because you don't understand half of what's being said. He doesn't let that happen. I'm glad that they offered this resource in a field where there is so little widespread industry experience. I'm comforted that I am going to choose their brand.

Thanks for the webinar. I have one of these units and this helps me understand it so much better.

Hello guys. The webinar would be great if we could understand the audio, but apparently the microphone was very bad so it's difficult to catch up what the instructor says.

Hello again, besides the previous comment below I would like to add to the load a chain operated elevator and a pneumatic elevator.

Just bought my 1st MH, it has 7 solar panels and Outback. I winterized the unit and removed all 6 batteries but come spring I have no idea as to what to do at start up. Do I just re-hook up the batteries and the system will re-start or do I have a bunch of set up to do. Any help would be appreciated... Thanks Jerry

So if you are off-grid and you are concerned about the quality of your diesel generator's power output, would suggest using just non-G labeled flex one units/systems?

when using the outback flexmax80, do you need reversing diode for the solar panels ?

hy...i am not able to understand whether i need some interface between my outback mppt charger and outback inverter/charger to let them communicate with each other during the charging of batteries (inverter/charger charging the batteries from the mains/grid supply), or should i just install them simply without establishing any communication between them. if i need to establish link between the, do i necessarily need to buy the hub or just install the simple communication cable between the ports of inverter/charger and mppt 80 ??

Why bother having batteries at all, if you are hooked up to the grid? I can understand if you have some equipment that absolutely has to run at night, like an oxygen tank. Or you have medicine that needs refrigeration, if you are worried the power could be out for days. I'm beginning to think, my batteries were a bad idea, and I should get rid of them. Any thoughts?

Outstanding video, but my questions and concerns are about being completely off grid, using solar, wind and hydro along with a diesel generator. I would also like to have redundancies built in. This would be in case of a major failure. The loads will include two water distillation units refrigerator a freezer, air conditioning lighting, entertainment center, External security lighting, security cameras , gate and garage door openers. How much power should the batteries be. I am able and willing to make the investment. What are your suggestions?

bohemoth1 Why would you want to be completely off grid? You can be completely off grid if you still choose to stay connected to it. Why wouldn't you want to sell power back to the grid?

My battery bank is reading fully charged but on the VFX3648 is reading 55% and shutting the system down. Can anyone help me find out why my system isn't working properly?

What size wire do I need to go from the charge controller to the batteries

      +Kyle Mckay
Hi Kyle,A copper #2 AWG size wire rated at 75c from the charge controller to the battery bus bar to ensure high performance is recommended. Minimum size is #4 AWG. Also, make sure to always consult with a local electrician to check NEC and local code requirements.

Would be more enjoyable and informative if you had an English speaking narrator. Can only understand very little; very frustrating.

You loose all creditability as a leader in your field when you can't even make a video that can be understood. Get a good mic.
