- We planned a trip to Tehri Lake and Tehri Dam via Dehradun-Dhanulti-Tehri-Devprayag-Rishikesh. This is Part 2 of our Tehri Trip where our next stop is Tehri Lake and Tehri Dam. You can visit Tehri Lake and enjoy various adventurous water activities, you can see engineering master piece-Tehri Dam and Dobara Chanti Bridge which is India's longest motorable suspension bridge.
Tehri was a small town situated on the confluence of Bhagirathi and Bhilangna Rivers in Uttarakhand. Despite of numerous unsuccessful protests by its residents, this town got submerged in the water to create a large catchment area and this way the town of Old Tehri became The Tehri Lake.The town of Tehri was evacuated to make space for the Tehri dam, and the population has been shifted to the town of New Tehri.

Last year we went this place.. very good place. Natural beauty can been seen here. But where u stand that place, still not made beautiful from where we get ticket and go to pick up the boat and that place is very risky. It shd be made good now
