9:13 I love this, it's very true. My grandma used to say, "Pick up ten things." And it's a great way to get into cleaning, because it's a win-win; either you get a boost of motivation and keep cleaning after ten things, or at the very least there are ten less things cluttering up your house! :)
I love this "pick up ten things" idea. Also love that others (including myself) are going to listen to what "Sally's Grandma" said and apply it. It's a true meme and I love it. 🖤
Really appreciated this video. Social media is a highlight reel, so its great that you highlighted that people do have "lazy day" or rather self-care days, and that its normal.
Hey Sarah thank you so so much for this Video. It's so so so realistic and it just radiates peace and thats what i needed right now. You inspired me to do this the very next day i have off! And also, you look so cute and like such a nice Person. Sending you love
I hear you! Back when I used to work full-time, I took a day off work to just take care of myself; it was AWESOME! I just slept in until 10:00AM, got up, made some coffee, cleaned my apartment, did those "oh, I'll get around to it someday" things (I'd get home from work and I'd just want to crash on my futon or in my recliner), shovel and salt the step in front of my apartment, went back inside, wrote down potential story ideas and potential poem verses, had a bubble bath, goofed off, ordered pizza, and watched TV until it was time for me to go to bed.
It's funny that what blew me away is a fact that you planned this the day before - I'm unorganized and try to fight it (actually doing pretty good tbh) but I never really got into writing down a to-do list. I'll try to start doing that, thank you for the inspiration 💛
Swimming and running really relax me , literally getting away from my problems, I agree you have to be selfish sometimes, btw my cat is also demanding comfort rn 😅
I need to stir up some motivation to do more self care. My depression gets debilitating. To the point where brushing my teeth twice in a day is a huge accomplishment.
JCB MaMa i've been there. it's really hard to get out of that place. sometimes you've gotta force yourself to do anything, and force yourself everyday until it's a normal habit. it's not easy but the end result is worth it. i hope you feel better or find some new ways to practice self care in your time!
I´m always returning to your videos and what I really appreciate is, that you are so loyal to your true self. You don´t force yourself to change because you are getting older, you just be always you. I don´t know how I can write my thought appropriately so that it sounds like an actual compliment. :-D My daily self care habit is a grattitude journal. I always experience a negative change when I don´t do it.
This video made me think that I should spend less time on the phone and read before going to bed instead of scrolling through instagram. It was really interesting to see what you do on a self care day 😊
I was just drinking my coffee this morning and started to watch your video you gave me a boost to do the dishes and start a laundry load. Feeling already accomplished and it's only 9:30 in the morning so thanks ! 😊 Have a wonderful day !
really enjoyed this video, sometimes is hard to have a productive day when you decide to work from home. I appreciate this video, made me feel proud of myself for the little things I accomplish during my day without being too hard on myself for not doing the most. Thank you !
You should try the Mario Badescu caviar night cream as a replacement for the Burt’s bees one! It’s sounds like the exact consistency you’re looking for
It is so unbelievably relaxing hearing someone talk about how they interpret self care. Thank you for sharing this with us!! Just wondering, do you still bullet journal?? I started along with you and really struggle to stay on it.
I have very sensitive teeth and got some stainless steal straws with silicone covers (it just covers the top where you put your lips, think of those pencil grip covers to just go on the part where you hold it) and they are a game changer since I don't have to put the ice cold straw in my mouth lol.
just embrace it! if you’re going to have a lazy day regardless, then adding guilt to it makes it not worth your while. if that’s what going to happen then just accept that and allow yourself to be lazy!
This video came to me at the perfect time, I’m starting my third year of college soon and I’m really stressing about it. I’m transferring to a University from a community college, ah! Thanks for the reminder to put myself first sometimes! 💜
What application do you use for journaling on your computer? It's cool to see someone who advocates so much for self care use digital journaling. As awesome as pen on paper feels, I find typing so much more efficient for getting my thoughts out and I manage to write a lot more than if I were hand writing. Personally, I've found it better for processing emotions.
I have been following you for YEARS and I just absolutely adore you! If you ever find your way to Asheville, North Carolina I would love to do some emotional release bodywork on you- it has helped me with my self care and anxiety so much since it releases stored trauma from our bodies. Would totally give you a free session if your ever on this part of town XX
Are you familiar with Rachel and Jun's channels on TH-cam? I ask because I see bits of your cats and I would love to see a "personality video" on your cats, the same way they really show off their cats' personalities as characters. Your cats are so cute!
This video just showed me how exceptionally low my energy levels are :P On my self care days (and most other days tbh) I don't have the energy to do half these things
I have lazy days whenever I don’t have anything to do and by lazy days I mean not getting dressed and not going out and sleeping as much as I want and I’m not even guilty about it
I want to wake up earlier so bad but I’m always so fucking tired... I wanna try a day like this. I’m having a bad day today, just emotionally. Also yeah I’m super behind on videos lol so barely seeing this.
Completely irrelevant to the self-care theme of this video but would you be interested in doing a video about creating Halloween costumes/looks with thrifted pieces?

every time I watch you I can't stop thinking about how beautiful you are and how pretty your hair is!!!!
Selfcare for me: sleeping it, a long warm shower, a radiator (or heating fan) ... at least currently, and a good book :)
Decides to be productive for work...
*cat shows up demanding attention every 2 seconds*
Hhahahahhahahah
take a sip of water every time she says self care

I love this video so much. I definitely agree that small daily tasks should be included in self care days. 💜
A year on I still watch this video to help me get out of a slump. Thank you! I’m basing my day off this tomorrow to improve my mental health

Same. Normally I don't have the energy to do half the things she did in this video

YOU are good for my mental health. Thank you for always being so transparent with us! Wish we lived closer, we would totally be friends.
She's so cool. And not fake, i appreciate that so so much
Your hair and skin is beautiful!🥰😊🥰😊🥰😊🥰 I'm so excited to see what you have for us in October!🎃
I recently got into simple self care witchcraft rituals and I think it's really helped me connect with myself and the power of nature
This song is jamming. Fits the video pretty well.
i’m watching this on my tv right now and my cat gets VERY interested in the tv every time one of your cats is i
on the screen, it’s so cute

Knitting is great for self care, you can do it while watching tv or listening to a non-fiction audiobook.
I like to watch your videos because they're comfortable and I know\understand them,

This is exactly what I'm doing today- really just recentering

Im having a lazy day and trying not to judge myself :/
just embrace it! if you’re going to have a lazy day regardless, then adding guilt to it makes it not worth your while. if that’s what going to happen then just accept that and allow yourself to be lazy!

I love your daily vlog 🙋🏻♂️❤️
I’m a big fan 😭👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I just use good ol Microsoft word! and yes I agree I type much faster than I can write almost as fast as I think so it’s much more efficient :)
This made me realize how much I need something like this. Once I find a day I can stop and breath I’m going to❤️🤣
How do you cook/eat your artichokes 😊 would love to see a video. Also, loved this video! Self care is sooo important!

Great vlog Sarah!

Sarah, are you planning on continuing with psychology?

i don't think burts bees is cruelty free ! :(( I'm p sure they're owned by the american brand Clorox?
On the Norwegian page I'm following it says that Burt's Bees are Leaping Bunny Certified (cruelty free international org)
