That was one beautiful anniversary!!! My heart melted at the sight of that quaint church on the hillside. I could imagine walking there on a warm Sunday morning. It reminds me of Andy Griffith and Don Knotts singing "The Little Brown Church in the Vale." I don't know how your knees hold up on such a long ride. May be it's the love that keeps you going.
It IS love that keeps you going! Bill has been the best coach for this chubby grandma! Our first ride on a tandem I went two miles...had to rest twice...and was pretty sure I might be dying! ;-) But, we just never gave up. We added a little at a time, and five months later Bill took me on my first 50 mile day. Your legs get strong and knees really do fine. It's "sitting areas" that are the toughest until we got the recumbent...now the seat is wonderful!

I’m originally from Pennsylvania, that was a great blue heron, they have quite a wingspan! What a darling church! Pennsylvania is s beautiful state, much of it looks like where you are. Did you know Pennsylvania has it’s own Grand Canyon? Cook Forest snd Clear Creek State Parks are beautiful too. They have camping areas in both. You have to call well ahead of time to get a reservation especially for the cabins. Elizabeth you’re getting along so well, your balance is improving quickly. Silly me! I just saw this was made in 2015! That explains the haircut and your lack of a walker!!! Be blessed ❤️
Bill and Elizabeth,Grant was off work tonight and together we watched this one.It was wonderful.We feel we have met our twins...although I have never biked in my life,,,Grant has and he loved it...we do love to camp too...and try to go once a summer Lord willing.Thanks for sharing your love is so evident.
We bike together all the time. We do long-distance bicycle touring. (Like 800 miles in 2 weeks) This biking camping trip was leisurely biking for us. We only did maybe 60 miles in several days.
Okay ,well,The Cat is sailing again from Maine to Yarmouth N.S. where we live so now you can come across and bike the province loads of folks do that...be sure to come visit with us.♥

Then Elizabeth got pretty bad arthritis in her hands and could no longer hold the handlebars of an upright. So we got the Screamer. Now, she doesn't need her hands, and we wonder why we didn't go recumbent a LONG time ago. We love it (as you can see). We also have one single recumbent bike. We also love to do long-distance bicycle road trips.

We really enjoyed your video. Have you found other camping places near rail trails? We like doing what you do - car camping and riding the trails (as opposed to going place to place on the bikes and camping with gear we would tote on the bikes.) Our best places so far are North of Highland campground and the Cape Cod trails, and the North Beach Campground in Burlington, VT. Mauch Chunk County Park is good for the Lehigh River trail.
Rails to Trails Conservancy has a website called www.traillink.com/ that lists all the rail trails in the country that they are involved with. It is a GREAT resource.
Tinyhouse Prepper Yes, true. however RTT only shows hotels near trails, not campgrounds. It seems that they have a sponsorship deal with a company that provides the service. I've asked about campgrounds and they don't reply, so I look for them myself.
It might just be me, but it appeared that y'all were on moving at 5-6mph...I am not fast, but I probably don't have what it takes to grind along like that. Good job by both of you.

I used to ride a trek recumbent that I kept on the truck with me when I was able to keep it the trailer...(im over the road)...I was wondering when you ride out to the truck in the morning if you take it with you for the day or can securely leave it where you park? I really need to get back to riding!

Try the rv parky ap. You can look at both sites together and find campsites near the rail trails.

It pedals just like a normal bike. We can do 70-80 miles per day. We can do that on a standard upright bike too. 😀
That bike needs to be comfortable for you both to pedal for those amounts of distances. I’m pretty sure it is. That’s good healthy exercise.
