I think Sheriff should NEVER be able to kill Jester, cause if the Sheriff shoots them, it means they did a great job pretending to be an impostor. Therefore they should be rewarded for that and having a sheriff body to report can be really useful for a Jester win.
Even though people love voting Ellum, I think he's a bad jester (too obvious of a jester). Impostors easily figure him out, crew figure him out (every buffoon in the world figures him out). Koji plays the role really well where he confuses both impostors and crew, and is very consistent.
Yeah, Koji manages to sound the same as jester as he does as crew (see: incredibly suspicious), so he can actually just move like he was a full crewmate and will still get the suss on him
Faxxxx I feel like it was a very sloppy move to give her vision that way. Especially because it wasn’t a quick walk, she had loads of time to realize he was out of range and she was on a “task”
13:20 Baycon has a very “Koji” style of playing and defending himself, which probably leads to higher jester win potential, but also explains how he only got his first Impostor win yesterday
imo Sheriff should not be able to kill Jester. Jester is actually a harmless role like plain crew during the game, and they can only play effectively in meetings.
Agreed that would also give jester an advantage too cause they can make it look like they killed them and I've noticed its harder for jester to win nowadays
@@UddavP you can change it to who you want them be able to kill in this case it wasn't available but its a constant debate wether they should or shouldn't.
I think it should, jester might seem harmless, but a jester role give the killers a certain "protection" if they did a bad kill, and the killers don't want the jester dead until the final round for this protection, sheriff could kill the jester and make it harder for the killer.
Watching this lobby yesterday, even though it was shorter than usual, I knew there would be a lot of great content coming up here. Also, ffs, Among Us Academy has spoiled me cuz now I try to play "play along" with different folks and also always want to swap between streams to see everyone's reactions to meetings and/or getting killed by someone they were sussing. I have to have 9 tabs open and also resist the urge to open all of them. Keep up the great work, Bait!
Thanks! And just know the times I don’t include certain POVs or don’t include dead chat is when they are boring and not relevant (eg they talk about random stuff in ghost chat and not what just happened in the game)
I think Killing Jester as sheriff should be like what happens when you kill someone with the diseased modifier except the increased cool down lasts the whole game. Obviously the sheriff doesn't die.
I’ll be honest, do not like this idea personally. I’m a “Sheriff shouldn’t kill the Jester” kinda guy. Otherwise if Sheriff could kill Jester, it basically punishes the Jester for doing their job correctly
@@AmongUsAcademy oh I see I wasn't clear enough. The Jester doesn't die too. The diseased debuff is just there to punish the sheriff for shooting indiscriminately.
@@AmongUsAcademy you could expand that to all non killing neutral roles, like survivor, amni, and executioner I guess, and have the sheriff only die if he shoots crew.
true, that would work bit better. just don't like anything that tells the role of someone 100% in the game -- info the Sheriff would have after. but if they knew they were just "neutral benign" then that's fine I guess.
Sheriff kills people who they think are suspicious, and a jester's job is to act suspicious. Getting killed for doing your job correctly has always been a no-no to me.
i think jester cis often a very dissapointing role, because you cant defend yourself only get killed. you dont do tasks so theres nothing to do but survive, which is why people hide in reactor. the fewer roles that can kill jester the better for playability imo
In a social deduction game I used to play, there was a problem of it being way too easy for an evil person to fake jester, and then the good team just had to take a 50 / 50 on whether they're jester (and shouldn't be voted) or bad faking jester (and therefore should be voted) and it was really shitty in terms of gameplay because you just ended up with 2 people all acting like jesters and there was no way of knowing which you should actually vote for. And also there was a second problem is that you would have jesters who got found out who would then just clog up coms and make it impossible for anyone else to speak which was really toxic as it prevented the good team from playing the game. The solution was that good killing roles would be able to kill those suspected of being jesters, which fixed the problem and made evils start pretending to be good (and therefore jesters pretended to be evil pretending to be good). I do think it's very good to make sheriffs be able to kill jesters for that reason.
I would say the jester should not be able to be killed by sheriff. The whole point is that the crew thinks you’re imp and they get punished for it by losing to the jester. So the sheriff should also be punished for that. The jester should only lose by being sussed as jester and not voted or by being killed by imposters. Otherwise it kinda defeats the purpose of the role imo. Sheriff should be able to kill roles like Glitch and Arsonist tho.
You should be able to sheriff Jester because they do not vote like crewmates and crew can’t vote them. Like there needs to be a method for crew to kill Jesters and Sheriff-Vig give 2 high risk ways to do that
I think if you give the Jester both venting and impostor vision, they're fair game for the Sheriff. It can cause some nice chaos where the Sheriff falls under suspicion, and he could get complacent thinking he shot a killer. But I still think that the Sheriff should not be able to kill any other non-killing neutral roles like Executioner, Amnesiac or Lawyer.
Sheriff should be able to kill neutral roles that have their own win condition. Amnesiac needs to be fixed so executioner can turn into that role when their target dies. I get why not all roles are enabled yet: ease everyone into it. Probably getting close to where modifiers would be good to introduce, hopefully? Then more roles. Can’t wait to see bait chaos happen.
I’ll be honest, do not like this idea personally. I’m a Sheriff shouldn’t kill the Jester, which basically punishes the Jester for doing their job correctly
Arsonist should be able to get killed by sheriff, but jesters shouldn’t. Crewmates already have the game pretty hard trying to keep track of roles so i think if sheriff kills and gets it correct people are going to think that same person that was killed by the sheriff is a killing role. Also jesters don’t do anything to win unless its in meetings so it would really suck if you were a sheriff and you kill a jester having that big excitement just for it to be a jester and not an impostor or glitch tbh.
About the sheriff thing I don't like adding new roles for sheriff to randomly kill from. I think sheriff should figure out the person's general role in order to kill. If the sheriff thinks someone is an impostor and kills they shouldn't be able to kill the jester but on the other hand if they think someone is a jester or I would say also an executioner they should be able to kill them. So I think the sheriff should have two different kill buttons, one for impostors(and glitch) and one for neutral "evil" roles like jester, executioner or arsonist etc.
Sheriff should be able to kill Jester, but a killed Jester should always be a Phantom. As a vanilla crewmate getting killed is not an instant loss. As a Jester getting killed is. This way, getting killed you have a win condition or surviving gives you your win condition. I also think that Sheriff killing someone and not being 100% sure if they shot a killing role would be awesome for the game.
I think it was because he lied about where Dumbdog's body was, though that was unintentional on Ellum's part (i think). And as we've seen in previous videos, Steve also knows Ellum well enough to read him correctly, so I think the first lie plus his reaction to being cleared gave it away.
From Steve's vision it looked like Ellyn was standing on the body and had plenty of time to report. Then he told some light lies in a way to try and bait an accuse. And Steve just got a strong vibe, which he often gets with Ellum.
I think Sheriff should NEVER be able to kill Jester, cause if the Sheriff shoots them, it means they did a great job pretending to be an impostor. Therefore they should be rewarded for that and having a sheriff body to report can be really useful for a Jester win.
yes, this mentality is what originally convinced me that sheriff shouldnt be able to shoot jester
ok, but sheriff should still be able to shoot executioner, right?
@@tortillachips3911 i think so yea :)
@@tortillachips3911 Absolutely not lol Executioner is basically harmless.
@@tortillachips3911 i mean executioner is a neutral role, but so is glitch. But also executioner can't kill.

Hafu really screwed up there with the 5up scenario. I don’t know how she thought 5up would’ve seen her
She remembered 5up moving around to check who's in there, but yea 100% she exposed her vision
To be honest I thought it a bit weird that it got SO MUCH airtime. Whereas Steve was basically silent about Janet exposing her imp vision 😂
@@AmongUsAcademy but if Steve exposed Janet's imposter vision he would be exposing his own
