I am having difficulty understanding this pattern.
Is the back side (last panel) not stitched to the other panels? Is it held together buy the brass connections?

I was thinking the same thing. If the 2 panels are not attached except for the brass connected straps, then there is no useful pocket there.

I bought the pattern It all makes sense. The 2 panels are stitched together. The video doesn't show it well. But it all works out.

Just saw this bag pattern pdf and loved your technique with the wax….My question is what did you use on the drill as the buffer to apply the wax? And what was the last wax you used? Loved the rough looking style!!!

Hi, I used a felt circle (felt), and Columbus wax is black

@@gmleatherpatternpdf6452 was the last “wax” bees wax?? It was in a ball. I have only seen beeswax that’s very firm…am I missing something like are you combining it with something else?

Yes, you're right, I used Columbus wax and regular beeswax... to understand how this works, you need to try it out...

Where did buy that black stuff that you put on the buffing pad? And what is the black stuff called? I really like that technique and look!

Hi Daniel, this is columbus wax! You can buy it on AliExpress applied mechanically.. But I think that on Etsy there will be sellers with this product..

Just downloaded the pattern, so excited! Can you tell me what size of prongs you use for the stitching holes ( diameter and distance between the prongs)?

These are ordinary diamond-shaped punchers, in increments of 5 millimeters ..

Is the buffer needed? Is it to add antique colors or are you thinning down the leather in those areas?

I use vegetable-tanned leather, apply wax, and it creates the texture itself...the skin does not thin out!

This is way late but I think OP didn't answer your question. You can use a felt pad and do it by hand. It just takes longer. It looks very good if you just do it around the edges and dye the rest how you normally do.

You should redo this video. There are key sections that you don't show.
