Incredible Your soldering techniques are almost magical It's fantastic to see the ease and agility with which you align and replace an IC You are without a doubt one of the best I've seen
Hi Alex, I have been looking at your videos for more than 2 years now and I must say that I enjoy the skill, dexterity and the speed in which things are done. This portrays years of experience and a good practice of honesty and excellence. Thank you for sharing this with us. God bless.
I could spend my days with you learning and fixing I love your straight forward attitude but you are always humble with your vast knowledge I hope the younger generation learn from you and your work ethics....thanks
WOW! This was incredible to watch! Thank you. I will be having some work for you to do for me! Already watched several of your videos, just discovered you today. Awesome!
You make this look easy, but I know from soldering far larger components when building RC quadcopters that it's a huge amount of skill you've developed. I really enjoy the videos, thank you.
Always a pleasure to watch your Video. This is what makes my Day more beautiful. Big Like, and thank you for posting so much Videos, I know you have your profit from the Video, but you are making them with Heart, and that's great!
I was wondering if someday north ridge fix will have an online tutorial on how to do things like temp for desolating smd components, basic diagnostics on electronic motherboards etc, I think if there will be that kind of videos in the near future I will pay my course in a heartbeat, amazing video master
I had so much faith in you your the master of all repairs and I was not going to let you give that quick member your better then factory , like a program human that notice the bad parts !
Looks like they put too much solder on the flex cable pads before installing the cable. Caused a bridge that kept sucking more solder through the cables via's resulting in a large blob under the cable
9:10 till the end I was hoping this component (the bypass capacitor) will not fly into 9th dimension because they are so small. Loosing them is very easy
I think that throwing things that are perfectly working, is bad for the environment. As mentioned the two laser printers functional at 10:14 (you got rid, but next you say "throwing) , give them to a local social cause (i.e. an social institution) of your choice. We must reuse as long as it gets. If you did that, that's great, but the word "throwing" redirect to throw to thrash! But hey, that's a tip, do as you want to do.. I am not saying what you must do, don't get me wrong. As always, straight forward repair, nice!
Another fantastic fix! I have a couple of guitar pedals I am working on in which I do not see light at the end of their tunnels ... but I got nothing else to fix so I continue to work on them! 😅👍
I would love to see some kind kitchen nightmares except its repair shop nightmares and he just goes roast other incompetent repair shops. I am learning a lot great video
Was there a legitimate reason for two blobs of solder to be under the flex cable connector? I thought I was going to see some ripped pads; not solder eggs.
Today's video contained much more quality information other than repair. CLEANING the shop procedures. I just can't toss my "treasures" just in case I'll need them.
personally I would not take caps off the board like that if they are donors I would use the hot tweezers and actual tweezers or hot air but you said batt was nearby so def tweezers not the main iron cause you can damage the cap.
All iPads were released after the transition to lead-free solder. Repairs to them should be performed with lead-free solder, since a mix of leaded and lead-free in a solder joint is an alloy of unknown properties. It’s always best to repair with the same type originally used, if at all possible.
Alex I totally feel ya brother. When they call my shop, the first question is How much do you charge to fix phones? haha NO MODEL or MAKE or What issue they have haha. They assume there is one price for all. LIKE ONE PRICE for all haha. HILARIOUS. GREAT PERSEVERANCE. I learned from this video about how to take big blobs off with wick. I can't wait for COV TO BE OVER , so I can sign up for TRAINING ON YOUR WEBSITE brother. Please let me know once you're ready to teach :).
I had to check the date to make sure this wasn’t uploaded on the first of the month as an April fool. I've only just started learning how to solder SMDs as a rank amateur and even I'd be ashamed of the job they did. Their workmanship and integrity are equally appalling. Well done getting it back up working again.
problem with repair shops is, you never know if its good if you never used one, i have in my area like 2-3 shops but i do not know a single person whos been there and i think ppl will ask around and just take the cheapest one, but even then the cheapest can be the best expensive does not mean good repair, if i had this dude here in my area i would visit him
What is the use of bypass capacitor and sometimes they are just left out🤔, if it to filter something or regulate, stabilize incoming/outgoing voltages🤔 does it affect in the long run🤔 If its the anatomy of the persons body bypass capacitor is similar to appendix😅 which is a part of the bypass that sometimes removed if enlarged or burst, and might kill the person,
Thank you from your work and commitment to the community What is your setup for your camera and what is the the thing you use to switch from different cameras that are on your right side closer to the monitor ??
Hey Alex if you interested to send us the older laptops to Morroco they will be fixed and used because we still use it like a new generation here. thank for your videos
Hello sir What is that device with you check the pcb after completing changing the flex cable and charging ic. If the charging ic and the cable is ok then it shows pass. Please let us know more about this device. Thanks
Very nice repair. Looks like a hiroshima bomb at the beginning. But your experience and knowledge let you fix that „big problem“. Nice video, i always ask myself how the other shops work, …i mean the maybe lose customers when they work like that on every phone or tablet and that means that they maybe had to close their shop. Thats sad, but it means more customers for you.
Incredible
Your soldering techniques are almost magical

You are without a doubt one of the best I've seen
I like how you stopped and turned on the extractor fan , so you wouldnt want to get a telling off from your mother. :D

When he said 2 months my jaw dropped. What were they doing all that time? 🤔🙄
This was a remarkable recovery from a bodge job. Your workmanship is sheer artistry.
I could spend my days with you learning and fixing I love your straight forward attitude but you are always humble with your vast knowledge I hope the younger generation learn from you and your work ethics....thanks

Nice to see you are so comfortable to work only looking at monitor 👍🏻

In der "Telefonwerkstatt" - das war schon schwere Körperverletzung !
Alex macht das - Wahnsinn !

I’m glad I wasn’t he only one refreshing my TH-cam multiple times in the past 2 days waiting for a new video 😂😂 excellent video like always!

I really this kind of repair video it is so satisfying it helps me sleep.
Short video on leaded unleaded and what to use when or what no to use...
At 8:52 why not use the tweezers to remove the bypass capacitors?
Another fantastic fix! I have a couple of guitar pedals I am working on in which I do not see light at the end of their tunnels ... but I got nothing else to fix so I continue to work on them! 😅👍

Good evening brother..!
This is Udayakumar
From INDIA
I love watching "prior repair attempts"
Today's video contained much more quality information other than repair. CLEANING the shop procedures. I just can't toss my "treasures" just in case I'll need them.
Amazing, better than factory. ❤️❤️😊

Great job Alex, I would like to be a fly on the wall in that other repair shop! lol
I was wondering how you tell if they are bi-pass capacitors? Thanks for the video's.
Nice work like always alex
12:47 I think you make it look too easy. I would like to try soldering that kind of cable but not sure if I can do it as well as you do.
try it on a practice board first, it's wayy harder than it looks
Great job ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great video man.👍

Hey Alex, Where were you for 2 days ? frequently checking notification for your video.
Just discovered your channel, damn you do nice work, you may of done one previously but any chance of a quick vid of some of the equipment you use?
I had to check the date to make sure this wasn’t uploaded on the first of the month as an April fool. I've only just started learning how to solder SMDs as a rank amateur and even I'd be ashamed of the job they did. Their workmanship and integrity are equally appalling. the 4 thumbs down were the people who tried to repair it before. Really nice job with the rearrange!
You mentioned training. Any recommendations?
It looks more beautiful sir!

Hey Alex if you interested to send us the older laptops to Morroco they will be fixed and used because we still use it like a new generation here. thank for your videos
Great job
I think previous tech gets C+ or B- for not ripping pads 😆. Nice save, NF.
Good work bro 👍🏻🤘🏻
Fantastic. Two thumbs-up

how would you remove solder without the wick?
amazing I like your attitude on others failures and straight forward suggestions.
tossed out 2 printers? why not send them to recycle or refurbish?

Hello sir
What is that device with you check the pcb after completing changing the flex cable and charging ic.
If the charging ic and the cable is ok then it shows pass.
Please let us know more about this device.
Thanks
what tester do you use to check the charging ?
Very Nice work
Nice job. I hate to see the mess on some devices that some b̶u̶t̶c̶h̶e̶r̶s̶ other technicians attempt before you put the real fix.
You can giveaway your old things my friend there are many who need it 👍👍👍👍👍 BTW love your videos
