Most MGs don’t have moving leg armor
A lot of MGs nowadays use the exchangeable fingers(kind of a shame tbh since I enjoy articulated fingers)
There are MGs such as the Double X which only includes marking stickers

I love when Bandai updated grunt suits because I like them, including this Jegan, though my favorite so far is still GM Sniper 2. Also, a bit out of the box but I want Gelgoog Jager in MG form. please Bandai.

It originally was an eye catcher with the red already but the sounds and animation really do make it feel much cooler

Holy Jesus I love this thing....I straight up love it based on design alone. It kinda has that same charm the GM sniper 2 has for me. It's DEFINITELY not as flashy as a gundam it still has that "basic unit" feel. Kinda makes me wonder what a fusion of the sniper 2 and Jeagan would look like.
Well there is the ECOAS Jegan, although unfortunately its HG kit doesn't have a sliding visor like the GM. You have to swap parts to switch between open and closed mode... still, it's a nice design.
All these guys bitching about the lack of detail but the CCA Jegan looks exactly like that. Not a lot of panel lines in the lineart. If you want a Jegan that has more detail, then wait for the inevitable Unicorn versions

There’s an MG out for the Stark Jegan
since the Jegan's grenade are held by a bar in the skirts , we could snap'em separate and modify or borrow a hand from another MG kit , i suggest borrowing one from the MG ZZ ver.ka if it has the hands for the Hyper Beam Sabers.
dry transfer decals don't come with every MG kit. there are quite a few like the Build Fighters kits and some recent grunt suits that only have sticker decals. and if they do have dry transfers then they're only numbers.
Hopefully the Stark Jegan is a regular release with removable armor allowing it to be converted to the Jegan D-Type
I don't suppose you've done anything for the ReZel series of MS have you? I think they're easily my favorite of mass production MS. If you happen to know anything about them please let me know. Master grade versions of course.

I always wondered what the bulbs on the shins where usually mobile suit legs are angular not rounded like that.

I feel that bandai really didnt care much when they made this MG Jegan other than the runner's remold value for the other variants. As a HUGE Jegan fanatic i was really excited for this kit but kinda disappointed... Even the Jestas had much more thought put into it like how the innerframe had more detailing and like the knee being able to extend to make kneeling better.
DarkphoenixF Kun it's less of that quite honestly and more so bandai's attitude towards mgs have changed. Sliding thigh parts are hardly common, movable Pistons having been fading away, and bandai is realizing how problematic the 3.0 hands are.
If anything it feels lackluster because most of the previous mg releases of late were based on 2.0 molds
I still think that this kit is missing maybe some sort of gimmick that distinguishes this kit from the other kits. Each newer release of the MGs starting maybe the GM 2.0 had some sort of selling point that is not necessarily the design of the MS itself. And i didnt know the 3.0 hands was bad... I guess they shoulda stuck with fingers joints made from actual pieces.

I think bandai has pretty much giving up on master grades. Seems the like the real grades an an the 144 line ups. Even the perfect grades have dropped in details an moved on to lighting up gimmicks.

Great review btw... Although... I really am more of a Zeon grunts kind of guy... Also, bandai should make the ReGZ...??? I forgot the name, but the one that can also somewhat transform using backpacks and stuff... I think bandai already made one in the past, but 2.0 isn't a bad idea either...

MG Jegan seems lackluster in Master Grade line, especially after MG GM Sniper 2
But the GM Sniper ii reused the 2.0 frame and this one uses a entirely new one.

Don't be surprised if it does come out as such cause the HGUC Efreet kai was a p-bandai while the re1/100 version was a standard release. MG zeta plus C1 standard release, HGUC version... p-bandai and inversely the HGUC Z+A1 [Unicorn Version] was a normal release while its MG counterpart was a p-bandai. See the pattern here? Let's just hope some of the p-bandai versions of the many HGUC Jegan releases (looking at you Jegan D-type) get a standard release MG treatment.

The GM Sniper 2, hands down is the one to get. I like both and I have the Sniper 2, and overall I think it's the better MG.

I suspect they opted for a simplified design for greater stability. This thing needs to hold up some pretty hefty expansions for some of the variants.

So many minor nitpicks that doesn't matter at all. Who poses their kits reloading of all things??? That's even more boring than just standing there and looking cool. Holding the rifle with both hands??? It got an awesome shield to show off and nor does it need any additional stability for a firearm that small
Only real (minor) problems imo are the lack of dry transfers and lack of maybe a few more details (even then this thing looks exactly as it should in the show with said lack of more details). Details on the inner frame doesn't matter at all since they're covered up anyways
9/10 kit,. though I'm gonna hold off buying it, we know all the possible variants they're gonna milk out of this

Ah the Jegan. A massive downgrade of the GM 3 across the board except in manueverability.
But Manuverability is the most important thing about a MS. I thought Char showed this 3 decades ago.

I do like the GM III though, it's a shame it never got a chance to shine on-screen. Though that can be said for most Federation grunts.
@@valsioncustom numbers, firepower, accuracy, and armor are the most important when not dealing with super prototype shenanigans. Manueverability will only save you in a few situations. Ideally you blast anything that gets into range and use shields, ablative coating, beam dispersal dust, and counter missiles on anything that gets close.
This worked exceptionally well on mobile armors and heavier suits.
The Jegan is probably half the cost of the GM III. No lunar titanium, no missiles, lighter armed and armored. At best its got numbers.

@@Galdenberry_Lamphuck All of those things are defensive tools to assist survivability. GM III's were armed to the teeth and fairly well armored, but why would you need that armor when mobility is key? If you don't get hit, you don't need an I-field.
The fuckin Zudah, of all things, is a prime example. Without the engine problems, that thing is a beast. Tearing apart GM squadrons like a specter.
And, about not dealing with "Prototype Shenanigans"... Joking? Half of Gundam is built on those damn things. If you didn't prepare to go against a super MS, you hadn't seen combat.
Before,MG has good details and PG has amazing details. Know, PG like MG libel and MG like a upgraded HG.🙄🙄🙄🙄 But at least Jegan is not an RE kit.

I'm starting to get a bit bored by the last 3 releases in the MG Line. Mainly because they are quite simplistic.
Sure, recent MG Gunpla are never absolute disasters, they always seem okay, but lastly, they lost their "WOW" factor wich got me hooked in the first place.
Just the hand thing is pissing me off. It's like now, we only get the swapable fingers and never again the nice, detailed fully articulated fingers.
I can accept it for simple grunt suits (like in the GM Sniper 2, wich I have and love), but the ZZ Ver.Ka came only with swapable fingers and no articulation at the wrist. It a was a damn shame... A Ver.KA for god's sake !
So please Bandai, I think it's time to put the MASTER back in the MG.
Look at the Providence, the Freedom 2.0 and the Justice Gundam.
The articulated fingers are a big problem for Bandai's replacement parts service. Prone to breaking very easily, they're frequently out of stock which leads to a poor customer experience (for Japanese consumers).

So far, I have only two kits with articulated fingers the Jesta and the Sazabi Ver Ka. They didn't break (as of yet). But I don't manipulate them all the time.
I understand though that these type of hands are a pain. But it would be nice if sometimes Bandai would give us complex nice hand for special releases.
It didn't bothered me with the GM Sniper 2, but I still think it was underwhelming with the ZZ Ver. KA.
Off the top of my head, the latest kit to feature the MP1/MP2 hands hands was the MG White Dingo Sniper II Custom from over a year ago. Probably too much trouble unfortunately. Unless a kit needs them for older weapon compatibility, you probably won't see them.
The ZZ ver.Ka is a remarkable bit of work with how well it implements its transformation. I understand you like the hands, but I certainly wouldn't describe the kit with underwhelming.
The ZZ VerKa is a great kit. I love it, I think the design is great, the build and engineering are awesome. The ZZ Ver.KA is a delight to look at.
What I meant to say about it was that for such a great design, it was a shame (in my opinion) to have such stiff hands. No articulation at the wrist :/ .
But it's just a minor gripe I have. Hopefully, we'll get a nice and complex MG, even if it comes with no articulated fingers, like the Freedom 2.0, o the Providence.
Well, my reckoning is the MG Qan[T] FS is a bit of a spacer kit--something that requires less work while they work on a more intensive MG. But I guess we'll see in a month or two.
