  • The power of options investing is clear to any degenerate using Robinhood. Options can print mad tendies, or destroy you very quickly. This is why I lose money with them every day.

    My life changed too when I started doing this and putting money in stocks. The first few years it as really great, but this year I haven't felt like my portfolio is doing well. I have lost more than $40,000 from my portfolio the past four months, and it's now very worrisome.

      The year has been really rough for everybody. But I've been able to cushion the effect though. Have you thought of using an investment advisor? They can make you good money especially during uncertain times like this.

    Diversification is the secret to optimal performance. This is why I have my interests set on market sectors based on performance and projected growth, such as the EV sector, renewable energy, Tech, and Health. Keep investing regularly and you'll be blown away how much it can change in a few short years. Here's to $1 million and to FIRE

      Dealing across multiple asset classes can reduce risk more effectively than putting all of your money into one. If you don't understand finances properly, see a financial consultant.

      A multitude of individuals downplay the significance of advice until their own emotions become unbearable. A few summers ago, after a drawn-out divorce, I needed a big shove to stay afloat with my firm. I located the most qualified advisor after searching for licensed advisors. Despite inflation, she has helped me grow my reserve from $275k to $850k.

      I completely agree, which is why I choose to give an investment coach daily decision-making authority. Given their depth of experience and investigation, they are quite unlikely to perform below expectations. For over two years, I have been working with an investment coach.

Will live on the rental income I receive and live with my aging parents for the time being. At 60 I can withdrawal from my superannuation (401(k)). Have savings and eligible for the Australian pension at 63. In the future I may downsize, sell the property and buy cheaper property and add the left over money from the sale to savings. Lots of options for me. The way I see it if you have $1m at some point, that’d be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between 50k-70k in dividend income...

      @@benchoflemons398 I'm talking about leverage on Indexes. People have been borrowing money to invest in the stock market since the 1600s (yes the stock market existed in the 1600s). Most massive recessions/depression were caused by overleverage.
      GD: retailers being over-leveraged on the DOW (today SPY and SPX), because of the idea that stocks never go down.
      2008: Overleveraged Real Estate Market.
      Crash of 202X : Probably some sort of retail overleverage again, that's just my prediction.

The goal is to become a multimillionaire, retire and live off my investments. I own a few real estate rentals, I play around with stocks and crypto but I'd love to take it very seriously this year. Imagine the stock market is a room if you only look in one corner and have to guess how the rest of the room looks and are really close to that corner you don't have all to much to go of of, so you don't even see the full corner but just a piece of it and have to guess correctly with it, that would be microeconomic, whilst macro would be I see everything but that corner piece I saw in the first concept and have to guess how it looks that's going to be obviously way simpler as it is a relatively small dataset that obeys the same rules as the big picture (your macro econic model) that you can figure out like for example: two walls come together = wall innercorner / outercorner => a stock gets shorted by a big hedge fund = stock goes down in price so you use the data overall to make a good guess about the part you don`t know
      hope this helps you to understand why macro and not micro as micro would be more useable if something like the dotcom bubble was still around

    • @millzimatt
      @millzimatt 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@randomdude7386 that makes no sense, macro is literally about global economies and micro is about local firms. So it would make absolutely no sense to valuate a firm using macro Econ model… if you’re trading in FOREX I guess you’d use macro lol (also I don’t need examples to understand things, just define them.)

    Options was the reason I nearly failed finance. Also be careful with 7:41, if I'm remembering correctly this is the main difference between European and American options.
    Like I remember something about not being able to sell it (tbh, I can't remember what it was) if it was an European option. That was the reason why American options are always worth intrinsically more compared to European options of the same value

    • @flyerton99
      @flyerton99 3 ปีที่แล้ว +25

      There are three redemption types, the first is European, which means you can only exercise them at expiry.
      American options are ones you can exercise anytime you like
      and Bermudan ones are somewhere in-between, with a series of set possible dates to exercise (include expiry, of course.)
