- Hello again sorry for the short break, but in todays video I play one of my favourite mods for Hoi4. Old World Blues, which add the fallout universe into the game with mechanics and focus. We play Elijah of the Mojave Brotherhood Of Steel and see what happens if he won at Helios One.

I wish the mojave chapter had a sanity mechanic for Elijiah, and an influence mechanic with the differing leaders under elijiah.
A bit like the Holy Russian Empire in TNO?
@@thespicypanzer yehhhh, like if low insanity was kept up. Veronica could eventually take over in replacement but if its kept high, we eventually get to a stage of what we see in the dlc. "Wipe the slate clean"

You are able to activate Archimedes later in the tree as well. The middle one just allows you to do it early.
The Followers are always worth it.
They may give you -10 war support once they are in and you demand help, but it's only once and you can keep getting free civil factories, building slots and water, and research speed. So it's worth.
Sometimes puppeting nations are better, especially early, because their focus tree gives their land free stuff that you cannot unlock on your own. This is getting heavy into the minmax however.
Thanks for the tips, I think my issue with the followers is one game I had years ago I was at war and they did something that costed me the game but am willing to try them again.
@@thespicypanzer yeah just be careful with how much you ask them for help and they won't fuck you over later
@@thespicypanzer all you have to do is get them early, piss them off with the militarization and conscription when its safe to do so, then theyll never bother you again. its just a PP and WS hit pretty much
There is a submod called "Wipe the Slate clean" for the mojave brotherhood. Basically "completes" the focus tree for them. If you wanna know about any other submods for owb.

Mojave Brotherhood was so obscenely overpowered when I played it before the Midwest update, it was my first world conquest, I think.
Am not sure if they got nerfed or the nations around me buffed, possibly might just be luck with both the NCR and Legion on me or I could be bad at the game but I’ll never admit it. But I do remember being a lot stronger when I last played it years ago, with the legion being easy to fight and push in the first battle for hoover dam.
@@thespicypanzer Either way, Mojave BoS is powerful. They have easy to defend choke points and access to some pretty nice buffs. The downside of being sandwiched between two massive powers is lessened if you turtle up and bleed them white of all their manpower
Those slight fade ins of where the dlc take place is erre i love it vwry cool this makes me want to get the game and mod for myself
Honestly I've always had a decently easy time surviving as helios. Just go down the Veronica path and only build power armor soldiers.
If you do the long term industry paths you'll get more than a bit of industry which will allow you to get several power armor units before the war starts and even more later.
As long as you can keep suburst balanced with decent RNG you'll likely find yourself being able to farm the first war.

If you're suffering such slowdowns and you say you have a decent PC, I have to ask, do you have the game installed on an NVME? If not, I highly suggest doing so.

Yes, but am up for other mods or the base game or maybe other games I have a few in mind.
I run this mod on a potato. Its running without any issues. Maybe this was an specific version issue.
Honestly I don’t even though why it was having issues, other HOI4 mods work fine

Wondefull lore and great world building for the elijah path. However the bonus for the siera madre are piss poor especially the cloud, cas damage would be better than strat. But oh well balancing needs to be done somehow.
Yeah if they implemented the cloud like it was in dead money the Mojave chapter would be unstoppable.

Don't run your speed so fast, bring it down with one tick then the game wont lag

Make sure on the launcher to put the mod in a playlist and turn it on then switch to that playlist underneath the play and resume button
Fallout mod isn't slowing your PC down, it's just stupid ass HoI4 engine that Paradox does nothing about.
