The entire vibe of the lyrics to this song give me a strong feeling this is from the perspective of Asriel - not Flowey, but *Asriel.* The lyrics are quiet, struggling to be heard over the music itself, chopped up and difficult to make out - as if these are backing vocals, and we're missing the main vocals. It's also a gentler voice and (in my opinion) a nice interpretation of how Asriel would have sounded as a kid. The final lyrics referencing the Deltarune Musical's World Revolving further reinforce this interpretation in my opinion - if likely unintentionally - because Flowey is very much a mask Asriel hides behind and remakes himself in the image of. Asriel can't cope with the pain he's suffering, so has learned that the best place he can hide from everything is in the act of being Flowey - in the act of being insane. Asriel feels free as Flowey, unburdened by everything now that he's ceased to care about anything but his own entertainment, yet is undeniably, *completely* batshit insane.
honestly this is so much better when it's actually singing to the music instead of what Undertale the Musical does. they have good lyrics. it could just bear to be more in-line with the songs.
If you still have any interest in doing something from Undertale Yellow again, then I would absolutely love to see it, because this turned out amazing.
