Really great! Creative, sticking to the original without being old fashioned. Amazing, the German is perfect (I'm German, too) no accents. Once again one can feel how much the Asians love our classical music. A super hermit with warmth and great voice. I would not go so far to say that we in Europe have shitty productions but we rarely have good ones compared to this.
I am just a casual listener of classical music. I know Korean classical singers can sing but I always wonder about their pronunciation and diction when they sing in a language I don't know like German and Russian. I'm glad you have a high opinion on both accounts. Thanks.
@@jungsinlee9772 Dear Jungsin, I am honoured, and I'm honest, the German of these singers is great. Mind that most opera singers are multi linguistal. Many speak Italian, French, German and English. Italian is a "must". I can recommend the Freischütz, the special thing is that it shows that a man must be given a second chance if he has once failed.
Dear Jungsin, to motivate you. Sometimes great art lies in detail. The hermit (great performance in this production) sings:"....er der schwer gesündigt hat (time: 14.53), and you hear on your left a flute..its tune disappears but it's coming back again....really great. It took years for me to detect this. By the way, Your Agatha is great and absolutely beautiful. The Freischütz is often used in our schools as the ouverture reveals so many motifs from the whole opera.
@@godehardbrysch7905 Thank you for pointing it out. I listened again and found it out. I will check out the overture tomorrow. All the songs in this scene have "public friendly" melodies, pleasant to the ears. I'm getting hooked.
@@godehardbrysch7905 Many moons ago , I sat in for one of Wagner's Ring. I was so daunted by it that I concluded German opera was not my cup of tea. This one may take me back on my venture to German opera, though.
@@jungsinlee9772 Dear Jungsin, wow, Wagner's Ring is highly acclaimed and difficult. My favourite one is Die Walküre. The whole Ring will be performed in Lepizig next year, I hope Corona Restrictions will have come to an end then. My favourite Wagner opera is Lohengrin, tears in my eyes when Elsa sings: "Einsam in trüben Tagen" and Lohengrin: "In fernen Land..". However most famous is the bridal March "Treulich geführt.." (Here comes the bride). When someone asks me "I feel I have an interest in opera but I do not know how to start, I give the (subjective) recommendation: 1. Zar und Zimmermann, a real European opera, the Russian Tsar working in cognito at a Dutch Wharf (historically true), diplomats from Britain and France and a German composer. Most famous the so called "Hozschuhtanz" there are some excerpts on YT. 2. Der Freischütz 3. Mozart's Die Entführung aus dem Serail (The Abduction of the Seraiglo) with a very moving finale "Nie werd ich Deine Huld vergessen.." Its' so full of warmth, love and reconciliation. (Many examples on YT) 4. Hänsel und Gretel (on YT with English subtitles), it's not an opera for children, the Composer Engelbert Humperdinck was born in Siegburg, not far away from the place I live, he was an ardent admirer of Wagner. By the way Carl Maria von Weber and Richard Wagner were both directors of the Opera of Dresden. You Asians are great, look, in the above Freischütz performance you have just started with the applause though the curtain has not dropped completely. We have many Japanese singers here. I guess you are from South Korea, this is in so far important for me as one of my interests is to collect everything about films which won the Oscars for "Best Picture", let me congratulate you for THE PARASITES, a great movie and so is the soundtrack. Oh, I forgot, my favourite opera scene is Zigarelle e Matadore from Verdi's La Traviata, many examples on YT. Wish youall the best.

I was wondering when I could hear you sing in German, either an aria or a lied. Now I found one. The singers here are all excellent.
