As usual, a very good interview. A quintessential salt of the earth NZer, doesn't talk himself up when he "could", looks on the bright side when he could be forgiven for "couldn't". Makes me miss my rural hometown & upbringing. What a lad 10/10
what a journey!! and what a lad!! giving up something at 22 like he did, is something admirable. That advice is definitely something that all of us need to hear.
The Barrett parents have been vey successful raising their children. The boys all handle themselves well and seem respectful and their sister is a gem. (I only know of the five. Guess there are 8 total) Well Done!
We are very very lucky to have your brothers and your whole family mum and dad have done a ridiculously amazing job to raise you all real down to earth decent respectful people without even talking about rugby and yes Nz and NZ rugby are very blessed to have the Barret brothers so much talent in one family on the field at the same time 😃 we all hope they can stay with us for ever 😂😂🙏🫡🫡🫡
Great interview, great man,I had to pack in pro football at 19 now late fifties,I can definitely relate, everyone means well but always a constant reminder
What a great interview, straight from the horse’s mouth. Such a nice guy, I think he made a great choice. Can you tell me what is involved in the concussion test they conduct when a player gets a head knock in todays game, would be really interesting subject I think in light of this interview. Great content, great interview, many thanks
Great podcast with Kane. Can definitely appreciate the concussion journey he went through. After a few head knocks during my high school rugby years, after rugby was done had a head knock at work and 4 years on Ive still got symptoms (much better than i was before but they linger). Cant imagine what its like for a pro sportsman. Glad to hear Kanes found his passion after it all
Now bring in one of the sisters and ask how it was growing up with those boys😂😂😂 really great chat jimbo, what a family what a lad Kane is. Really good seeing guys put sport on the back burning and find a real passion. Them barret boys seem cheeky lol. What’s Christmas/ birthday dinner like in that house
What a down-to-earth podcast with Kane. Could you imagine AB's with 'quadruplets' :-). What a pleasure to listen to. I saw Jordie at Welly airport lounge this past Friday night and wanted to say hi - but didn't. Wish I had :-)
Awesome podcast for an awesome bloke. Having seen him play a dozen times or so i firmly believe that he would have been as good as any of his brothers and would’ve likely played 100 tests by now. It so tragic but Im glad to hear he’s made every post a winner since. What a champ and an absolute lad! Thanks James this is one of your best yet.
