The apple jam looks similar to apple butter we can buy where I live. Its dark and not transparent. It always has cinnamon in it though so you don't get as much apple flavor as I would like, but great in the fall. I've had some transparent apple jelly and I LOVE that stuff.
Apple butter is fantastic and looks an awfully lot like that jam. Its available all over Indiana especially in the fall. Just got back from the Covered Bridge Festival in Bridgeton Indiana and they places selling hot biscuits with apple butter!

The fruit bar, based on the small seeds mixed in, probably has a (major) fig component to it. And that Russian-style apple jam gets as close to apple butter as possible without crossing the line.
If you still insists on using the fuel tabs please use them out side. The fumes can be very toxic, Esbit tabs are bad but less in mind where these are made! After seeing videos of Russian soldiers complaining about having no rations, I wonder if someone up the chain is selling them on the internet to make money for themselves instead of giving them to the troops. Buying them might actually help Ukraine.

In Russia, it has always been the case that beautiful things are sent abroad for display, which they do not really have. In the case of this MRE, it is relatively certain that you will not see such foods in Russia. Things like "Pokazukha" and "Potemkin Village" have always been favorites in Russia. Both basically mean "external brilliance with nothing behind it." It means that things seem many times more beautiful than they really are to other people. This food belongs to the "Foreigners, be jealous of Russian" propaganda. But it's all a big lie... Edit. I'm pretty sure no regular soldier has ever seen it.
Yeah most "Russian MRE" are commercial replicas, my understanding is elite troops might get something similar, but the conscript absolutely do not. Also while they brag about the lack of preservatives and freshness, russian soldiers complaint the food is often years out of date and dangerous to eat.
You're a big liar. Firstly, there are quite a lot of manufacturers of individual diets in Russia, and if such a diet is packaged in camouflage packaging, this does not mean at all that it is supplied to the army, it may just be a marketing ploy.Secondly, if you think that everything is bad with food in Russia, then you have been brainwashed by Western propaganda. There are a lot more natural products in Russia than in the West, especially within the framework of affordable prices in stores.
