For people who don't under stand , If you set A to Attack Move Click you Right click to run away while pressing A to get that quick auto attack in, hope this helps
im pretty sure every bronze player who has ever watched this video didnt understand a bit. When i was rushing through bronze i noticed how basically ALL ad carries literally STAND still and shoot, and like nothing else, i engage with my overfed udyr on them and they dont even bother to attack-move, they simply stand still and shoot me XD and those people complain that "they are stuck in bronze cuz of their bad teammates every single game" ahahah

Just so u know, i peaked plat 5, but im a gold player myself(ranges of Gold 4-Gold 3), and when i trolled my ranked and dropped to MMR of bronze 5-3, i literally carried every single game with my solo top udyr going at least 10/2 every game, in some cases it was even 20/0. What i want to say by this is that ur ranked elo MATTERS. there is a significant difference between bronze players who actually thought i was a diamond smurf udyr when i was actually gold 3, people who would add me to friends after each match and give me Honors from my team for carrying them and GOLD where my legendary udyr seems so insignificant and where my win ratio with him drops to 50-55% whereas in bronze my win ratio with him was around 95%. I have nothing more to say. If u dont believe me, so be it, i have no reason to lie
strikeclone It is zero indicator of skill, only those in gold+ rank who spent 51% of matches getting carried and 49% matches feeding claim that their rank means they are "l33t" and other ranks are noob. Those who actually are good will be far to busy carrying the game to slander and flame their team. How do you know that they flame in rankeds? u only talk about that u see them feeding in normal games.. im platinum 1 right now and when i play normal i want to relax and really just play for fun and not necessarily to win and sometimes I go yolo-mode and troll ( not a nice attitude, but tbh normal games dont matter, you win or lose, noone cares after all ) maybe you get a wrong picture from high elo players, because the way they ( at least ME and all the other higher elo players I know ) act in normal games is completely different from how they act and play in ranked games. To the topic: I agree with Knightcleric, rank does matter but only in a way. it doesnt matter if you are gold 5,4 or 3. because those differences are minor to non existend, same goes for bronze 1 to silver 5. but once you compare a bronze to a platinum or diamond player, you will see a huge skill difference. ( Id say when there are like 5 leagues between the 2 players, just until d1, where 50 LP make a huge difference already) I played only like 10 games in bronze on some accounts of friends just for the fun and I did really carry every single game by myself with absolutely ridicolous k/d ratios ( I wish I could give exact numbers, but it was too long ago, but I played something like 20+ kills and less than 3 deaths on leblanc ) Which is nothing impressive and wasnt even hard to do, just because of the huge skill difference. But, as I said, normal games are completely different. For example apdo dog2 aka incarnation just went 4/11 in a normal game and we all know how good he is and a final sentence to the topic of the video: Since I started using this technique ( however i just use the a then leftclick its fast enough for me ) my movement increased about 30% and I gained at least 300-500 elo because of that edit: By "High Elo" I mean 2000 Elo or mid platinum, which to be honest is nowhere near highelo, but for the sake of this conversation we can refer to it as high elo :D and sry for my english, not a native speaker

If you want to bind it to your A key so that all you have to do is press A, go in a match (preferably custom), press Esc, click on movement, click Attack Move Click, and press your preferred button (A).
Start using it since last sesson 5 and now i almost can't play league without it, it help me from an amateur player who cant play range champ and kite to a player who can play any range champ and kite very well now. Highly recommended everyone start using and master it

I'm not using attack move click on my space bar to CS with and kite when I play adc, and from what I can see, basically, it makes it a lot easier to kite as you just right click>space (for me)>right click>space all the time infront of you and whoever is closest (enemy chaser) will be hit. So good on Vayne and especially Kalista for the Martial Pose. It also helps with not walking forwards if you miss a CS and click on it. Idk if there is other perks to it but that's what I can see atm.
+Fudgy He explaines this pretty well.. The thing you need to do is bind a button you are confirtable with ... I am really confirtable with my Mouse5 button on the left side on the mouse, you shouldn't always use this button but just when maybe renekton for example is chasing you down river where there are no minions around and you can right click to run away but every 1sek you press that button as well so you can run away and attack him basicly at the same time if you do this while only right clicking you might missclick and then you walk into him and basicly die.. while doing this with a bind button you get the damage out while running away so tons of damage and got away or might get a kill :).. And ofc if there are no minions around and you are chasing you can right click + left mouse button in my case mb5 every 1 sek to get more attacks than you would with only right click but if you are really getting used to this and there are minions around just use right click unless you are completely sure that you will aim right on him with the bind button .. and you can right click to run towards him at the same time right+left running while hitting. And if you are on lane and farming and want to poke just right click unless you are really good with using right click for movement and left button for aim.. If you don't use this and just use A+left mouse click it takes that extra second to attack cause you need to do 3 things aim-press A and mouse 2.. And that is hard specially if you are going to flash+aim+a+left button while i flash + aim + mb5 = mouse button 5.
+Fudgy say you bind "A" for attack move, you need to use Left click + A to attack and if you bind "A" for attack move click, you don't need left click to make it work just "A" alone

I'm a french player that started LoL on the beginning of season 4 in bronze IV division, and i only practiced aD carries on ranked. After feeding like hell and trying to learn how to kite, i was only training Vayne and i noticed the fact u are talking about that we loose a lot of time not moving when auto-attacking. So first i was spamming right click on champs then on the ground to cancel AA animation and keep chasing, but i was doing a lot of miss-clicks on minions for example. Then i noticed that Vayne doesn't use her W cause it's just a passive so i decided to bind my "attack move click" on dat key and i improved myself a lot. I'm now in Gold IV, and i hope to climb even higher with dat "left click bind" i was searching for so long :D ! I think right and left clicking is so much easier than hitting a key for kiting, i'm just going to train this right now, and thanks a lot man, really !
I play around plat, almost diamond, and I have always right clicked everything, I kite average, almost good but I always hate when I missclick and walk towards enemy instead of attacking. Have to try this command out. The problem is, I cant get the bind work, want to get it smartcast or this wont be of any use to me.
Attack move click is the "smartcast" version of attack move. Also, I don't know if it's just me but when i use attack move to run away from someone it makes me move to them ((guy here) (me here) (where i click)) Use with caution

I tried to apply the reddit post to my input.ini file and for some reason it doesn't change anything. Like I copied someone elses input.ini file and It still didn't change anything.
I had to watch it like 5 times, but I think I finally got it. 1. Stutter stepping to attack faster: you right click on enemy, then on ground to move thus canceling the animation, then back to enemy to attack at a faster rate. 2. Right clicking an enemy champ to attack, then the ground to move towards/chase them allows you to attack while chasing. 3. Attack move is auto attack the nearest enemy, moving you closer if required to get in range, ("a" button, then left click by default) and when you choose to map attack move click you only have to press one button to activate it (whatever you map it to). Please let me know if I misunderstood anything, Thanks!
Then you don't do it. This just helps you min/max stutterstepping where you manually would not be able to. Say Volibear is chasing Ashe, she activeates Q to slow him and as he's chasing her she obviously runs away from the enemy minons after no more than a second or two voli will be the focus of the move+ attack because he is closest. This lets her attack him and move at the same time very quickly while losing as little speed as possible and putting out optimal damage. That is just one scenario. It does work in team fights when everyone is just kinda around and you're looking to get pokes here and there. Or when the enemy is trying to juke you in to a bush to lose sight and AA, Throw down a ward and keep moving, or if you facecheck and they rush out against the way you came, you get a hit in earlier, maybe even a full auto attack more wich could mean a lot in a trade/gank/securing kill before they flash or get back to tower etc. It's helpful to learn and it useful if you know how to use it well.
Actually if you attack move to a target like that and you DO click on him, it will attack him, not the minions around him. If you miss him by a bit though, you will attack the minions.
Dude seriously, thank you so much. Didn't even know you could attack move click like in starcraft. I changed all my key bindings to the numbers 1-6 instead of QWER. But I like the idea of left click mouse for attack move. I know this will help my game play a lot.
What he did with Zyra is basically cutting short your attack animation so you can move and attack faster than normal. See when zyra attacks (same with other champs), she shoots out her vine thing right? When she shoots it out, its already flying to the enemy, but it shows zyra is still casting it. When you stutter step, what your doing is cutting the animation short while still shooting your vines so you can move 0.2 ish seconds faster than normal. This helps in a long run when kitin/chasin etc.
Question. So if i rebind my A to Player attack move click, all i have to do is right click to walk away and then press A to attack the closest enemy within my range? Meaning i wont have to right click on them but still able to kite without them hurting me? Please answer

TurnUp It's all about timing the aam(auto attack move) and the move. If you move too quickly, it'll cancel your auto. If you move too late you won't be moving as quickly as you could. And you have to make sure your next auto attack is ready before you try to aam again....so if you aam and successfully get the auto off and start moving away you have to wait until you know you can auto again (this depends on your attack speed) to aam again. I tried it in a custom where I just bought all attack speed stuff....I'd suggest trying to do it with the amounts of attack speed you usually have...like on graves a lot of the time you'll end with the berserkers and static shiv and maybe botrk so I went for 105% attack speed in my custom to simulate the attack speed I'd actually have in game.

ever since they fixed the bug with the attack move click chat movement i've been using it on my A button. Iv noticed that my kiting is much better and everything; however, i feel like my right clicks are less accurate because i no longer get the enlarged A move cursor that helps me never miss a click. Also, because smartcasting it has made it so easy to use, there are far less situations when i have to actually click my enemy. Should i switched back to the default A move and regain my clicking accuracy or should i keep the smartcasted version for the increased kiting potential?
Solution: The game client has a command that prevents this - Player Attack Only. This command attacks the enemy if you click on him, but if you mis-click on the ground *it doesn't move to where you clicked* and get you killed. So, in game you would have to use that alway or most likely, alternate between your regular attacks (don't know what you do) and Player Attack Only. By default, PAO is not bound to any key... so you must bind a key to it and use that key instead of clicking with the mouse. In my case, I bound [MB1] to Attack Move Click, I don't intend to use Attack Move, so I bound [A] to PAO since it's close to the little finger. HTH
Thanks for the tutorial! After I put attack move click on my mouse I saw a huge improvement in my ability to kite in the jungle. Which allowed me to clear faster and take less damage.
Guys I dont get one thing at all...I wanna have a bind like doublelift....He clicks on one enemy and lock him and auto attacks that enemy while moving around....i also can do that by using play attack move(shift) but it also attacks minions when they on the way.....Someone help....And explain me the whole thing please
Doublelift doesen't use attack move, he cancels his animations by normal right clicks, and then clicks the enemy again. It's very difficult, but also the most accurate way.

It will work in the end. I changed the key myself and then it worked after I started the next custom game I was using to test it. If you're still having difficulty, you can always navigate to you're input files using the following: RIOT Games > League of Legends > CONFIG > input. Open the file and edit away, I'd suggest saving as for use of a backup. When doing this save as .ini
You need to bind the [A] or whatever other key or LeftMouseButton to Attack Move *Click* (different command), which just fires away since it is the Quickcast version of Attack Move.
Basically, when you do what you do (right clicking a target, then right clicking away, and so forth..) you have to wait until the entire animation of your auto attack is over before you can move/attack again. When you "a" click, you cancel your auto attack immediately after the attack has been sent out so that you don't have to wait for the animation to end before attacking again. This allows you to get many more attacks out because you're removing the time that the animation takes.
Using the primary mouse button as an attack move is a really good idea! I wouldve never thought of it myself but it makes everything so much easier. Thanks cider c:
stutter stepping means the action of cancelling an animation, specifically the auto/basic attack animation. let's say when your basic attack it takes 1 full second to do the animation, but in league you don't need to play that full 1 second, the moment the attack number shows up = the attack is already done, say maybe 0.30 seconds to do just that, so after that 0.30 you want to move again to cancel the full animation. different champions are different though like ranged or melee watch 1:08 again
I think he means the rebinding outside of the League of Legends program, during the official tournaments like the LCS. Since everyone's computer is supposed to be identical, rebinding something in a way that is not built into the League of Legends program could be a problem.
Zach Jackson Well the thing you got to change to use the LMB as attack move click is a .ini file in the League of legends folder so its not really a programm outside of lol. You just add some lines in the config file of league.
Thanks Ciderhelm, and as you asked, I explained this to my family. My mother and even my grandmother now know how to attack move/attack move click very well, and might become top-level League players.
I HIGHLY recommend Learn the League to both old and new players. A buddy of mine convinced me to buy it and I have went from struggling between bronze and silver to holding steady in lower gold tier for Season 4 and bouncing between high gold and lower plat for season 5. Not sure it will absolutely work for everyone, but it did wonders for my game.
Just a little tip how to bind left click to attack move click without any additional programms: Go into your settings and bind for example shift+left click to attack move click (just any button + left click). Then close league and go into your league folder/config/input scoll down till you find "evtPlayerAttackMoveClick=" and just delete shift (or whatever additional button you asigned with left click. the full line should be "evtPlayerAttackMoveClick=[Button 1]"
Dude i CANT bind the left mouse button... its just not working. I try always to bind it... it doesnt react... the right mouse button can be changed, but not the left button! And Yes, my left mouse button works!
Not sure if you are trolling but: while in game, press Esc, then click 'key bindings', scroll down to 'attack move click'. Press the button next to it and then press whatever key you want to bind it to. I personally use Shift for attack move click.
he went over half the video talking about how to bind the key -_- By defualt, attack-move is bound to a, and is dumb-cast so you have to left click afterwards. The other option is to hold shift and right click. While still a dumb-cast, shift-click is faster and is prone to less error than a-click because you only need to use one mouse button. The third option is to smartcast attack-move with "attack move click", as he described, which is by default not bound to anything. You have to bind it yourself. Unless you just meant stutter-stepping in general which is just "right click target, wait till animation reaches the critical point, right click ground, wait till your attack timer resets, repeat". Once you master that you can replace "right click target" with "attack move and click anywhere" whenever attack-moveing is in your best interest.
i use my pinky for my q so to move that finger down to a is pretty awkward for me. so it would take way more time and id be misfiring my q alot. but that is just me
Im used to playing starcraft2, so maybe that helps. It also probably depends on what champion you play, I main draven as adc so i dont spam my Q that often
Who knows what David's on...but it's not the fact that pressing A then clicking is hard, just binding it to a key is more efficient and useful. It's like smartcast. It's not hard to cast your ability and them aim it, but it's faster if you instantly cast it when you press Q/W/E/R - meaning you can do more quicker.

lol, good thing you found this video. I can spot a noob right away if they don't stutter step (aka, below bronze). I've been righ-tclicking to kite and stutter step for a long time but sometimes I would accidentally move toward them. I was thinking of doing A + left click but this video showed me just A or left click by themselves is possible! This will be amazing on ADC!
it works like if you attack move click, you move but if there is an enemy around the cursor click, he will automatically attack it, then you have three main clicks: right click for move, left click for if you have a skillshot to position and land and lets say button A - if you press A(attack move click) you do right click(move) AND Autoattack if possible. you can hit S to stop moving and attacking - you can also run with right clicks and press A everytime your attackspeed allows it.
unless I'm not fully understanding this... you might not want to bind it to your left mouse key if you use rengar as it can prematurely bring you out of your ultimate on an unintended target. or even with champs like twitch or evelyn. though it'd still be good to have it bound to another key, binding it to left click on certain champs may have negative effects

if you rebind left mouse to attack move using the config file, then you also rebind select click to something else. I have it bound to my middle mouse button, since I use it in other games too and am used to using it. after like a couple days of initial adjustment, it works perfectly for me now. I middle mouse click to click the mini map, to select units to see their stats, to ping, etc. it's all second-nature to me now and works great. I have no problem controlling my champ or UI. cheers.
I got linked to this video for improving my adc. So I watched (I knew kiting and that stutter step thing) and after I set up my mouse with the help of a cool reddit post, the improvement was instant! :D Very nice! Attackmove click thing is great. Total nerdgasm :D
Yes, you can also you A-Click and then manually click the left click. This method means only one click is needed, and it's faster when bound to the mouse button.
Also note that the attack move makes you stop once you are in auto attack range of an enemy and it also lets you continue chasing them automatically as well.
There could be a few things you're doing wrong - depending on what setup you've chosen. If you're going with the attack move click setup (where your attack move is on left click) then you will always attack whatever is nearest you unless you left click on a champion (attack move on the champion) or any previously engaged neutral creeps/champions roaming away from hostile mobs. Hope this helps.
An AA animation consists of 3 parts, 1 aa start, the charactar will start the animation to AA 2 the actual AA 3 the wind off ( i dont know how to call it) basically the last animation You can cancel the last animation by either moving or casting a ability, making the AA shorter, shorter AA's means more time for movement allowing you to get more AA's of and stick to your desired target. hopefully i explained it properly, my English is not that good.
He says a few seconds after 5:54 , about binding Left Mouse to Attack Move Click, "this is not a hack or an exploit in anyway". Well it is. #1 We are modifying the configuration files outside the Client program, when Riot has decided not to make the option available. So going aoutside the program to do something the programmers have deliberately ommited providing is an exploit. #2 Binding LeftMouseButton interferes with other funcionality in game: clicking on mini map for moving camera, selecting champions, clicking and sorting champions in team display, pinging, etc. Riot could and should provide for binding LeftMOuseButton without interfereing with the other functions, but they haven't. They also say they can't help much with whatever happens after we manually edit the config outside the program - because it that option is not supported. So, changing bindings outside the program helps a lot, we can probably work around problems caused by binding LeftMouseCLick, but it is a hack. :-)
Note however, I'm pretty sure "Player Attack Only Click" is NOT an attack-move command, meaning if you use it like with Ezreal's juke out of the brush in the video for instance, it is handled ONLY as a move command, you won't immediately stop and shoot him when he comes into vision.
omg ty cinderhelm, i started to do this on caitlyn and went on a massive 22 game win streak ^_^, i always get ahead but those chases like udyr and darius always get me, now i jsut kite for dayysss
when he's chasing anivia and clicking the ground you know he's using attack move click when the little mark on the ground is orange instead of green. he's right clicking until he can fire another auto then he left clicks instead of actually clicking anivia. (i hope this helped clarify what he's doing for someone)
What is you opinion on swapping the mini-map to the left? People in the western world naturally read things from left to right. There is a concept of cinematography where you should place more important things on the left side. Once you get used to it, I believe that swapping the map to the left will cause map awareness to improve.
Do you recommend to use attack move or attack move click? :o I'm worried that I won't be able to last hit as well or something if i do use attack move click.
The "Player Attack Only" (PAO) command makes your clicks, well, only attack players. If you are issuing a PAO command, if you click on a minion or neutral monster, you will only move to that position. Your champion will only attack if you target a player. On a side note, the only place I've found myself using this is with junglers that can jump (like Zac), to move myself into the corner of the wraith pit while the wraits are alive, so I can engage on mid from cover. Still, good thing to know :D
Its usually alt the right click controls Leblancs passive or a tibbers. You can rebind it by pressing escape then clicking on bind keys then finding it then changing it to what you want.
by timing the animation of the auto attack.. with most champions when the autoattack is already launched the animation still continues for .(who knows how much) seconds.. lets say .1 second. when clicked after your auto attack has come off you cancel the rest of the animation and gain .1 second.. doesn't seem like much but the result is enormous.. Stutterstepping also helps you to continuesly position yourself in the best spot.. Takes tons of skill to do it with 2.0 atk speed tho..
Just put your attack move on left mouse button (go to the thread and follow that). Do attack move, then as soon as the projectile leaves your champ, press the right mouse button somewhere else. If you don't do any damage you are moving too early. There are so many benefits of this and getting good at it will improve your gameplay dramatically. Practice it a couple of times in a practice match just against minions, then NEVER STOP doing it. It's useful in all situations and will help you improve.
Is this keyblinding thing necessary for roles that doesn't need the kiting? Because it is alot harder to cast abilities compare to the normal setting of smartcast. Not to mention...the pinging is alot harder too. Only set this up when you're adc?
Every play a strategy game? In strategy games and league there is a "move" command and "attack move" command. Attack move allows you to attack a person as you reach your destination while just "move" makes you simply move and not attack. Binding attack move to your left click button allows you to kite more easily because you don't have to click on the enemy champion after you enter your move command because it will be done automatically.
You can't bind your left mouse button to be attack move click using the in game interface. You can currently only do this using the actual config file found in your league of legends folder. There is a link to a reddit post about how to do this in the description of this video. :D

so uh im not sure if i got this right but all in all attack move when kiting (while on smartcast) is like this: 'right click to a location, press the attack move (whatever you're binded it to), so your champ immediately stops running to the location, and attacks his closest target?' so you just keep on clicking to the location and whenever you wanna auto you just press one button? holy shit that sounds very useful. gold league here who mains adc.. not proud i didnt know aout this
I already knew about the stutter step/orb walking thing for a while now but I'm still getting used to it for some champs. As for the attack move, I didn't know about it yet but I just tried it and man, it's so weird for me but I'm gonna keep it and I hope that I'm gonna get used to it as time comes

For people who don't under stand , If you set A to Attack Move Click you Right click to run away while pressing A to get that quick auto attack in, hope this helps

isak hs Default binding is just attack move, needing you to do your click. You need to rebind your A key to Attack Move Click, which takes that away

im pretty sure every bronze player who has ever watched this video didnt understand a bit. When i was rushing through bronze i noticed how basically ALL ad carries literally STAND still and shoot, and like nothing else, i engage with my overfed udyr on them and they dont even bother to attack-move, they simply stand still and shoot me XD
and those people complain that "they are stuck in bronze cuz of their bad teammates every single game" ahahah

Just so u know, i peaked plat 5, but im a gold player myself(ranges of Gold 4-Gold 3), and when i trolled my ranked and dropped to MMR of bronze 5-3, i literally carried every single game with my solo top udyr going at least 10/2 every game, in some cases it was even 20/0. What i want to say by this is that ur ranked elo MATTERS. there is a significant difference between bronze players who actually thought i was a diamond smurf udyr when i was actually gold 3, people who would add me to friends after each match and give me Honors from my team for carrying them and GOLD where my legendary udyr seems so insignificant and where my win ratio with him drops to 50-55% whereas in bronze my win ratio with him was around 95%. I have nothing more to say. If u dont believe me, so be it, i have no reason to lie

How do you know that they flame in rankeds? u only talk about that u see them feeding in normal games.. im platinum 1 right now and when i play normal i want to relax and really just play for fun and not necessarily to win and sometimes I go yolo-mode and troll ( not a nice attitude, but tbh normal games dont matter, you win or lose, noone cares after all )
maybe you get a wrong picture from high elo players, because the way they ( at least ME and all the other higher elo players I know ) act in normal games is completely different from how they act and play in ranked games.
To the topic: I agree with Knightcleric, rank does matter but only in a way. it doesnt matter if you are gold 5,4 or 3. because those differences are minor to non existend, same goes for bronze 1 to silver 5.
but once you compare a bronze to a platinum or diamond player, you will see a huge skill difference. ( Id say when there are like 5 leagues between the 2 players, just until d1, where 50 LP make a huge difference already)
I played only like 10 games in bronze on some accounts of friends just for the fun and I did really carry every single game by myself with absolutely ridicolous k/d ratios ( I wish I could give exact numbers, but it was too long ago, but I played something like 20+ kills and less than 3 deaths on leblanc )

If you want to bind it to your A key so that all you have to do is press A, go in a match (preferably custom), press Esc, click on movement, click Attack Move Click, and press your preferred button (A).

I'm not using attack move click on my space bar to CS with and kite when I play adc, and from what I can see, basically, it makes it a lot easier to kite as you just right click>space (for me)>right click>space all the time infront of you and whoever is closest (enemy chaser) will be hit. So good on Vayne and especially Kalista for the Martial Pose. It also helps with not walking forwards if you miss a CS and click on it. Idk if there is other perks to it but that's what I can see atm.
+Fudgy He explaines this pretty well.. The thing you need to do is bind a button you are confirtable with ... I am really confirtable with my Mouse5 button on the left side on the mouse, you shouldn't always use this button but just when maybe renekton for example is chasing you down river where there are no minions around and you can right click to run away but every 1sek you press that button as well so you can run away and attack him basicly at the same time if you do this while only right clicking you might missclick and then you walk into him and basicly die.. while doing this with a bind button you get the damage out while running away so tons of damage and got away or might get a kill :).. And ofc if there are no minions around and you are chasing you can right click + left mouse button in my case mb5 every 1 sek to get more attacks than you would with only right click but if you are really getting used to this and there are minions around just use right click unless you are completely sure that you will aim right on him with the bind button .. and you can right click to run towards him at the same time right+left running while hitting. And if you are on lane and farming and want to poke just right click unless you are really good with using right click for movement and left button for aim.. If you don't use this and just use A+left mouse click it takes that extra second to attack cause you need to do 3 things aim-press A and mouse 2.. And that is hard specially if you are going to flash+aim+a+left button while i flash + aim + mb5 = mouse button 5.

and if you bind "A" for attack move click, you don't need left click to make it work just "A" alone

I'm a french player that started LoL on the beginning of season 4 in bronze IV division, and i only practiced aD carries on ranked. After feeding like hell and trying to learn how to kite, i was only training Vayne and i noticed the fact u are talking about that we loose a lot of time not moving when auto-attacking. So first i was spamming right click on champs then on the ground to cancel AA animation and keep chasing, but i was doing a lot of miss-clicks on minions for example. Then i noticed that Vayne doesn't use her W cause it's just a passive so i decided to bind my "attack move click" on dat key and i improved myself a lot. I'm now in Gold IV, and i hope to climb even higher with dat "left click bind" i was searching for so long :D ! I think right and left clicking is so much easier than hitting a key for kiting, i'm just going to train this right now, and thanks a lot man, really !
I play around plat, almost diamond, and I have always right clicked everything, I kite average, almost good but I always hate when I missclick and walk towards enemy instead of attacking. Have to try this command out. The problem is, I cant get the bind work, want to get it smartcast or this wont be of any use to me.
Attack move click is the "smartcast" version of attack move.
Also, I don't know if it's just me but when i use attack move to run away from someone it makes me move to them ((guy here) (me here) (where i click))

I tried to apply the reddit post to my input.ini file and for some reason it doesn't change anything. Like I copied someone elses input.ini file and It still didn't change anything.
I had to watch it like 5 times, but I think I finally got it.
1. Stutter stepping to attack faster: you right click on enemy, then on ground to move thus canceling the animation, then back to enemy to attack at a faster rate.
2. Right clicking an enemy champ to attack, then the ground to move towards/chase them allows you to attack while chasing.
3. Attack move is auto attack the nearest enemy, moving you closer if required to get in range, ("a" button, then left click by default) and when you choose to map attack move click you only have to press one button to activate it (whatever you map it to).

yes, and in that case you should just right click to attack
Then you don't do it. This just helps you min/max stutterstepping where you manually would not be able to. Say Volibear is chasing Ashe, she activeates Q to slow him and as he's chasing her she obviously runs away from the enemy minons after no more than a second or two voli will be the focus of the move+ attack because he is closest. This lets her attack him and move at the same time very quickly while losing as little speed as possible and putting out optimal damage. That is just one scenario. It does work in team fights when everyone is just kinda around and you're looking to get pokes here and there. Or when the enemy is trying to juke you in to a bush to lose sight and AA, Throw down a ward and keep moving, or if you facecheck and they rush out against the way you came, you get a hit in earlier, maybe even a full auto attack more wich could mean a lot in a trade/gank/securing kill before they flash or get back to tower etc. It's helpful to learn and it useful if you know how to use it well.
Actually if you attack move to a target like that and you DO click on him, it will attack him, not the minions around him. If you miss him by a bit though, you will attack the minions.
just use "target only champs" bind when fighting in minions.

Dude seriously, thank you so much. Didn't even know you could attack move click like in starcraft. I changed all my key bindings to the numbers 1-6 instead of QWER. But I like the idea of left click mouse for attack move. I know this will help my game play a lot.

What he did with Zyra is basically cutting short your attack animation so you can move and attack faster than normal. See when zyra attacks (same with other champs), she shoots out her vine thing right? When she shoots it out, its already flying to the enemy, but it shows zyra is still casting it. When you stutter step, what your doing is cutting the animation short while still shooting your vines so you can move 0.2 ish seconds faster than normal. This helps in a long run when kitin/chasin etc.
Question. So if i rebind my A to Player attack move click, all i have to do is right click to walk away and then press A to attack the closest enemy within my range? Meaning i wont have to right click on them but still able to kite without them hurting me? Please answer
Yes. That's exactly how it works. You should try it on a custom match first.
Mario Guilherme Cezar Garcia didnt work for me I tried it today... I rebinded the player attack move click to A and every time i tried running and kiting i didnt work i just ran away from the guy chasing me
TurnUp It's all about timing the aam(auto attack move) and the move. If you move too quickly, it'll cancel your auto. If you move too late you won't be moving as quickly as you could. And you have to make sure your next auto attack is ready before you try to aam again....so if you aam and successfully get the auto off and start moving away you have to wait until you know you can auto again (this depends on your attack speed) to aam again. I tried it in a custom where I just bought all attack speed stuff....I'd suggest trying to do it with the amounts of attack speed you usually have...like on graves a lot of the time you'll end with the berserkers and static shiv and maybe botrk so I went for 105% attack speed in my custom to simulate the attack speed I'd actually have in game.

ever since they fixed the bug with the attack move click chat movement i've been using it on my A button. Iv noticed that my kiting is much better and everything; however, i feel like my right clicks are less accurate because i no longer get the enlarged A move cursor that helps me never miss a click. Also, because smartcasting it has made it so easy to use, there are far less situations when i have to actually click my enemy. Should i switched back to the default A move and regain my clicking accuracy or should i keep the smartcasted version for the increased kiting potential?

Solution: The game client has a command that prevents this - Player Attack Only. This command attacks the enemy if you click on him, but if you mis-click on the ground *it doesn't move to where you clicked* and get you killed.
So, in game you would have to use that alway or most likely, alternate between your regular attacks (don't know what you do) and Player Attack Only.
By default, PAO is not bound to any key... so you must bind a key to it and use that key instead of clicking with the mouse. In my case, I bound [MB1] to Attack Move Click, I don't intend to use Attack Move, so I bound [A] to PAO since it's close to the little finger.

Guys I dont get one thing at all...I wanna have a bind like doublelift....He clicks on one enemy and lock him and auto attacks that enemy while moving around....i also can do that by using play attack move(shift) but it also attacks minions when they on the way.....Someone help....And explain me the whole thing please
Doublelift doesen't use attack move, he cancels his animations by normal right clicks, and then clicks the enemy again. It's very difficult, but also the most accurate way.

It will work in the end. I changed the key myself and then it worked after I started the next custom game I was using to test it. If you're still having difficulty, you can always navigate to you're input files using the following:
RIOT Games > League of Legends > CONFIG > input. Open the file and edit away, I'd suggest saving as for use of a backup. When doing this save as .ini
when i press a for attack move it does nothing after i left click, it just shows the range and the red target symbol.
You need to bind the [A] or whatever other key or LeftMouseButton to Attack Move *Click* (different command), which just fires away since it is the Quickcast version of Attack Move.

Basically, when you do what you do (right clicking a target, then right clicking away, and so forth..) you have to wait until the entire animation of your auto attack is over before you can move/attack again. When you "a" click, you cancel your auto attack immediately after the attack has been sent out so that you don't have to wait for the animation to end before attacking again. This allows you to get many more attacks out because you're removing the time that the animation takes.
After patch 5.23 this binding config file is not working anymore :( All my hotkeys got reset, anyone else got the same problem?

stutter stepping means the action of cancelling an animation, specifically the auto/basic attack animation. let's say when your basic attack it takes 1 full second to do the animation, but in league you don't need to play that full 1 second, the moment the attack number shows up = the attack is already done, say maybe 0.30 seconds to do just that, so after that 0.30 you want to move again to cancel the full animation. different champions are different though like ranged or melee watch 1:08 again

I think he means the rebinding outside of the League of Legends program, during the official tournaments like the LCS. Since everyone's computer is supposed to be identical, rebinding something in a way that is not built into the League of Legends program could be a problem.
Zach Jackson Well the thing you got to change to use the LMB as attack move click is a .ini file in the League of legends folder so its not really a programm outside of lol.
You just add some lines in the config file of league.

I HIGHLY recommend Learn the League to both old and new players. A buddy of mine convinced me to buy it and I have went from struggling between bronze and silver to holding steady in lower gold tier for Season 4 and bouncing between high gold and lower plat for season 5. Not sure it will absolutely work for everyone, but it did wonders for my game.

Just a little tip how to bind left click to attack move click without any additional programms: Go into your settings and bind for example shift+left click to attack move click (just any button + left click). Then close league and go into your league folder/config/input scoll down till you find "evtPlayerAttackMoveClick=" and just delete shift (or whatever additional button you asigned with left click. the full line should be "evtPlayerAttackMoveClick=[Button 1]"

Not sure if you are trolling but: while in game, press Esc, then click 'key bindings', scroll down to 'attack move click'. Press the button next to it and then press whatever key you want to bind it to. I personally use Shift for attack move click.

By defualt, attack-move is bound to a, and is dumb-cast so you have to left click afterwards. The other option is to hold shift and right click. While still a dumb-cast, shift-click is faster and is prone to less error than a-click because you only need to use one mouse button.
The third option is to smartcast attack-move with "attack move click", as he described, which is by default not bound to anything. You have to bind it yourself.
Unless you just meant stutter-stepping in general which is just "right click target, wait till animation reaches the critical point, right click ground, wait till your attack timer resets, repeat". Once you master that you can replace "right click target" with "attack move and click anywhere" whenever attack-moveing is in your best interest.

Im used to playing starcraft2, so maybe that helps. It also probably depends on what champion you play, I main draven as adc so i dont spam my Q that often

Who knows what David's on...but it's not the fact that pressing A then clicking is hard, just binding it to a key is more efficient and useful. It's like smartcast. It's not hard to cast your ability and them aim it, but it's faster if you instantly cast it when you press Q/W/E/R - meaning you can do more quicker.
I've been playing for a year and didn't know about atk move. I thought it was a slower dumber way to do what left click does. Thanks for making this!

I've been righ-tclicking to kite and stutter step for a long time but sometimes I would accidentally move toward them. I was thinking of doing A + left click but this video showed me just A or left click by themselves is possible! This will be amazing on ADC!
it works like if you attack move click, you move but if there is an enemy around the cursor click, he will automatically attack it, then you have three main clicks: right click for move, left click for if you have a skillshot to position and land and lets say button A - if you press A(attack move click) you do right click(move) AND Autoattack if possible. you can hit S to stop moving and attacking - you can also run with right clicks and press A everytime your attackspeed allows it.

unless I'm not fully understanding this... you might not want to bind it to your left mouse key if you use rengar as it can prematurely bring you out of your ultimate on an unintended target. or even with champs like twitch or evelyn. though it'd still be good to have it bound to another key, binding it to left click on certain champs may have negative effects

if you rebind left mouse to attack move using the config file, then you also rebind select click to something else. I have it bound to my middle mouse button, since I use it in other games too and am used to using it. after like a couple days of initial adjustment, it works perfectly for me now. I middle mouse click to click the mini map, to select units to see their stats, to ping, etc. it's all second-nature to me now and works great. I have no problem controlling my champ or UI. cheers.
I got linked to this video for improving my adc. So I watched (I knew kiting and that stutter step thing) and after I set up my mouse with the help of a cool reddit post, the improvement was instant! :D Very nice! Attackmove click thing is great. Total nerdgasm :D

Yes, you can also you A-Click and then manually click the left click. This method means only one click is needed, and it's faster when bound to the mouse button.
Also note that the attack move makes you stop once you are in auto attack range of an enemy and it also lets you continue chasing them automatically as well.
There could be a few things you're doing wrong - depending on what setup you've chosen. If you're going with the attack move click setup (where your attack move is on left click) then you will always attack whatever is nearest you unless you left click on a champion (attack move on the champion) or any previously engaged neutral creeps/champions roaming away from hostile mobs. An AA animation consists of 3 parts,
1 aa start, the charactar will start the animation to AA
2 the actual AA
3 the wind off ( i dont know how to call it) basically the last animation
You can cancel the last animation by either moving or casting a ability, making the AA shorter, shorter AA's means more time for movement allowing you to get more AA's of and stick to your desired target.

You make this so much more complicated than it needs to be
He says a few seconds after 5:54 , about binding Left Mouse to Attack Move Click, "this is not a hack or an exploit in anyway". Well it is. #1 We are modifying the configuration files outside the Client program, when Riot has decided not to make the option available. So going aoutside the program to do something the programmers have deliberately ommited providing is an exploit. #2 Binding LeftMouseButton interferes with other funcionality in game: clicking on mini map for moving camera, selecting champions, clicking and sorting champions in team display, pinging, etc.
Riot could and should provide for binding LeftMOuseButton without interfereing with the other functions, but they haven't. They also say they can't help much with whatever happens after we manually edit the config outside the program - because it that option is not supported.
So, changing bindings outside the program helps a lot, we can probably work around problems caused by binding LeftMouseCLick, but it is a hack. :-)
Note however, I'm pretty sure "Player Attack Only Click" is NOT an attack-move command, meaning if you use it like with Ezreal's juke out of the brush in the video for instance, it is handled ONLY as a move command, you won't immediately stop and shoot him when he comes into vision.

omg ty cinderhelm, i started to do this on caitlyn and went on a massive 22 game win streak ^_^, i always get ahead but those chases like udyr and darius always get me, now i jsut kite for dayysss
when he's chasing anivia and clicking the ground you know he's using attack move click when the little mark on the ground is orange instead of green. he's right clicking until he can fire another auto then he left clicks instead of actually clicking anivia. (i hope this helped clarify what he's doing for someone)
What is you opinion on swapping the mini-map to the left? People in the western world naturally read things from left to right. There is a concept of cinematography where you should place more important things on the left side.
Once you get used to it, I believe that swapping the map to the left will cause map awareness to improve.
Do you recommend to use attack move or attack move click? :o I'm worried that I won't be able to last hit as well or something if i do use attack move click.
The "Player Attack Only" (PAO) command makes your clicks, well, only attack players. If you are issuing a PAO command, if you click on a minion or neutral monster, you will only move to that position. Your champion will only attack if you target a player.
On a side note, the only place I've found myself using this is with junglers that can jump (like Zac), to move myself into the corner of the wraith pit while the wraits are alive, so I can engage on mid from cover. Still, good thing to know :D
if you use the settings on the tutorial, Mouse Button 3 will be in place of LMB, so you use MB 3 for that
Its usually alt the right click controls Leblancs passive or a tibbers. You can rebind it by pressing escape then clicking on bind keys then finding it then changing it to what you want.
by timing the animation of the auto attack.. with most champions when the autoattack is already launched the animation still continues for .(who knows how much) seconds.. lets say .1 second. when clicked after your auto attack has come off you cancel the rest of the animation and gain .1 second.. doesn't seem like much but the result is enormous..
Stutterstepping also helps you to continuesly position yourself in the best spot..
Takes tons of skill to do it with 2.0 atk speed tho..
Just put your attack move on left mouse button (go to the thread and follow that). Do attack move, then as soon as the projectile leaves your champ, press the right mouse button somewhere else. If you don't do any damage you are moving too early. There are so many benefits of this and getting good at it will improve your gameplay dramatically. Practice it a couple of times in a practice match just against minions, then NEVER STOP doing it. It's useful in all situations and will help you improve.
Is this keyblinding thing necessary for roles that doesn't need the kiting? Because it is alot harder to cast abilities compare to the normal setting of smartcast. Not to mention...the pinging is alot harder too. Only set this up when you're adc?
Every play a strategy game? In strategy games and league there is a "move" command and "attack move" command. Attack move allows you to attack a person as you reach your destination while just "move" makes you simply move and not attack. Binding attack move to your left click button allows you to kite more easily because you don't have to click on the enemy champion after you enter your move command because it will be done automatically.
You can't bind your left mouse button to be attack move click using the in game interface. You can currently only do this using the actual config file found in your league of legends folder. There is a link to a reddit post about how to do this in the description of this video. :D

Now i realize the noob i was before learning this, and i didn't even master attack move yet.
so uh im not sure if i got this right but all in all attack move when kiting (while on smartcast) is like this: 'right click to a location, press the attack move (whatever you're binded it to), so your champ immediately stops running to the location, and attacks his closest target?' so you just keep on clicking to the location and whenever you wanna auto you just press one button? holy shit that sounds very useful. gold league here who mains adc.. not proud i didnt know aout this
I already knew about the stutter step/orb walking thing for a while now but I'm still getting used to it for some champs. As for the attack move, I didn't know about it yet but I just tried it and man, it's so weird for me but I'm gonna keep it and I hope that I'm gonna get used to it as time comes
