    Thank you!! I took mine apart and a spring flew out and had no idea where it came from. Now I know

      Something happened to me too. Just try to start it without the spring. I've got mine started without it. All 2 cycles carburetor doesn't have spring inside fuel pump diaphragm. I think the spring causes flooding problems for really tiny engines. Those knock off 4 cycle carburetors you buy at Amazon or Ebay don't have spring in it. Oh, by the way, check magnetized flywheel for the spring.

    I have a Craftsman ws410 and when I took the carburetor apart in the center where the spring is my carburetor looks like it's got a blue plastic film and does not have a rubber gasket like yours should I be replacing it and removing that plastic?

    I'm working on my uncles 4 stroke Craftsman blower and it starts up and runs fine but at Full Throttle for too long it starts to hesitate and I know how to take apart and clean 4-stroke carbs and 2-stroke carbs and adjust 2-stroke carbs but don't know if there is an adjustment on a 4-stroke carburetor besides the idle so can someone please help me out

      You will have to look everywhere on the carburetor for adjustment screws. Not all carbs have them with a model number I could try looking it up for you.

      @@handimechanic This video is of the TB425CS which is the same model I have. I don't see any adjustment screws anywhere. Is there some way to adjust it?

    I have 4 cycle Craftman weedacker. While I was rebuilding carburetor( brand new- starting issues). I lost fuel pump spring diaphragm. Where do I get it. I've been searching for the spring online all over. No one has it. Does the spring being there matter how carburetor. I assembled back without it. I've got it started though. You see, 2 cycle carburetor doesn't have the spring but 4 cycle carburetor has it. That(spring being there) is only difference in 2 or 4 cycle carburetor. Although I think the fuel pump diaphragm spring causes problems in starting 4 cycle weed trimmer. What do you think? Let me know!

      I see this ques. now leading from your previous comment. The spring threw me off also as i wasn't expecting it. Watched prob. 10 vids and no one ever mentions it, at least this one has a pic of where it goes. I never could get it to run without it.

    My 4 stroke strimmer only seems to run on choke and dies if I turn it off. What should I expect to find when I disassemble it? Its an Eihell strimmer that I bought here in the UK. Good video btw

      Sven Livesey these carburetors have a lot of tiny parts be careful that any springs don’t fly off on you. A good portion of times you take the carb apart it damaged some or all of the gaskets so be prepared to possibly replace them

    • @lesliehorwinkle
      @lesliehorwinkle ปีที่แล้ว

      anything that runs only on choke is needing more fuel so prob. plugged.

    Other than finding gunk which I did not video is insufficient as a repair video. For instance u completely ignored main jet! That little brass poppet dead center in main body!

    • @handimechanic
      @handimechanic  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I did and that was on purpose. Good eye for noticing! This video shows how to do a basic cleaning. The intent is to make a more detailed carburetor repair video but for basic cleaning I was worried if I mentioned cleaning the jet some DIYer might damage it or break something off in it as many people seeking this kind of video have little to no experience with mechanic work.
