personally, I wouldn't put any money towards it because frankly I'm accustomed to youtube being free, and while I like youtube and most of the content on hatfilms, it's not really at a point where I think it's worth real cash. I spend roughly £10 on netflix and spotify, because I get a significant quality and quantity of new, often excellently produced content out of it. As much as I like youtube and streams.... It's just not at that level tbh I sometimes subscribe to the twitch channel because I have Twitch Prime and sometimes wanna catch the VODs That said, I don't see how anyone could have an issue with you boys setting up a patreon for people who are a bit more generous/ have a bit more spare cash. Literally see no reason why you shouldn't be paid for your time and effort.

Do a patreon and have a $1 a month tier. You don't have to have $20 or $50 tiers where you offer rewards, which always seems to be your argument against it, because you don't want to get locking into having to meet those rewards each month.

Patreon is honestly a great idea. A single dollar given on patreon is more than something like a few hundred views without adblock. The only thing you have to be careful of is a feeling of exclusiveness. It should be treated as a tip jar, not as a ticket stand or paywall. Don't have pay tiers over $20 at the most, and even then it shouldn't reward anything more than different-colored names on a discord or something, and thanks.
You guys said it yourselves, you made the decision to sacrifice your own financial well-being for what you enjoy, and for what we love. A Patreon would give us a chance to do more than just giving you a view, and a lot of us would like to have that opportunity.

I suggest you build up the idea of a patreon, think really hard about what rewards to give backers of certain tiers, and thinks about how you would do your teirs

What you guys do really well is entertaining commentary. For example, I rarely watch your GTA playlist videos, but I'll listen to them while I'm doing something else. I feel Hatfilms would do really well in the realm of podcasts because of your ability to create engaging discussions that have good humour. People could listen to your content more often through podcasts because it doesn't take as much time as sitting down to watch a video.
Please please please do not stop swearing in vids, I feel like it would take away from your content and the topics you talk about and is one of the main things you use for comic effect (nothing bad about that). I would honestly pay a subscription to watch you guys from £1 a month or something like that and I feel you have a loyal enough audience that many others would also commit to this if you offered it to us as an optional thing. I understand you have twitch and subscribers on the platform but as I am usually busy and only have time to watch your videos rather than watch a full stream I would rather pay a cheaper monthly cost just for your TH-cam than the £5 or however much it is on twitch (which I imagine you do not get all of anyway).

These days, out of all the channels I'm subscribed to, Hat Films has been the only one where I watch each vid they put out. The different games, the banter, being able to just listen to the boiks talk about topics whilst doing something else.
I wonder if Smiffy watched Game Over, Man just because every one said one of the actors looks exactly like him.
I suggest you build up the idea of a patreon, think really hard about what rewards to give backers of certain tiers, and thinks about how you would do your teirs

This might actually be my favourite video thus far in the years I've been subscribed. I loved the transparency and honesty about how you all make your money and it's understandable and I appreciate it. I would be totally down for Patreon because I love you three and what you do.

What you guys do really well is entertaining commentary. For example, I rarely watch your GTA playlist videos, but I'll listen to them while I'm doing something else. I feel Hatfilms would do really well in the realm of podcasts because of your ability to create engaging discussions that have good humour. People could listen to your content more often through podcasts because it doesn't take as much time as sitting down to watch a video.
Please please please do not stop swearing in vids, I feel like it would take away from your content and the topics you talk about and is one of the main things you use for comic effect (nothing bad about that). I would honestly pay a subscription to watch you guys from £1 a month or something like that and I feel you have a loyal enough audience that many others would also commit to this if you offered it to us as an optional thing. I understand you have twitch and subscribers on the platform but as I am usually busy and only have time to watch your videos rather than watch a full stream I would rather pay a cheaper monthly cost just for your TH-cam than the £5 or however much it is on twitch (which I imagine you do not get all of anyway).

hat films are my favourite channel on TH-cam and if they want to open a patreon that's fine with me at the end of the day its optional to support them they're not forcing money out of our hands and to anyone who does support them if they get extra content thats also fine at the end of the day they pay towards the creation of that content why shouldn't they get a little extra
Loved his kind of vid; obviously know you guys did these a bit more often back in the day but i would love to see a return to the car Q&As or car chats just every couple months or so. Its nice to have a chill video from your usual hardcore, intense boiky vids every now and then. Thanks so much for the continued content and I would totally get behind and donate to a patreon project you lads set out and im sure hundreds of others would too

I think you should totaly do patreon. Then let the people who want to "donate"/subscribe to it do it. The rest of the people who don't have the money or the interest aren't forced to pay anything. Nothing to lose all to gain really, as long as it doesn't get forced down everyones throat. Even if its just to give you money on a monthly basis without a real project in sight

Patreon sounds fine with me, I definitely get more entertainment value out of you knob heads than Netflix and I pay a tenner a month for that. If it meant you could keep doing what you do but more often and with more of a safety blanket for riskier, larger projects, sounds good.
