DE making it -2 as Cavalry Archer instead of Archer like HD for Elephant Archers really buffed Camel Archers against them. They absolutely melt against Camel Archers now.
@@devangnivatkar2649 knights did 2 bonus to them because they have 0 bonus against archer class. So I guess camel archers doing more is better than knights
@@StraightEdgeNexus Yeah, Knights are a common unit. Throwing Axemen and Gbetos got the +2 as well, IIRC. For some reason they have a +0 vs. Archers listed in their attacks. Knights do as well, but they need that for the Persian team bonus to work.

Wouldn't it be nice if there were actually two archers on the elefant that shoot one arrow each like in the thumbnail? There is clearly enough space on an elefant for that and it might turn them more into some kind of moving tower.

Idea for an elephanto archerino buff: how about giving them an additional melee range attack like the war elephant but not as strong (if it's possible to implement)? So it shots arrows on distance and smashes with elephanto tusks whenever units are coming too close. Could be fun.
... and the Elite version could shot and smash simultaneously.
Probably not possible for a game this old, this kind of stuff may make it into AoE4 along with other mechanics that aren't 20 years old (like hard-counter-unit's "bonus dmg vs x" crap).
You have to switch between melee and ranged attack like Trebs. Not practical.
tbh more range might do the trick. I'm thinking 9. Adjust other stats accordingly.
@@Spherac Nah it would be easy to implement, just give them trample like catas or slav infantry. It's just an additional attack value.
@@chronographer pretty sure trample and projectile attacks don't work as you're seeing it, it would make their arrows do area damage at best. Maybe I'm wrong but to my knowledge, trample does damage around the target that was attacked, not around the attacker.
Also everyone in this thread should stay away from game balance and design lmao.

you are right 3:25, actually they have the same speed, but the boar attack animation is longer than elephant/rhino, so they look faster.

@@diegeigergarnele7975 no, it doesn't mess with the tech tree, it just makes is so you can see behind the bottom and top part of the UI when you are in-game so you can still see all your upgrades, units and techs, etc. but you can also see behind it giving you a larger field of view without looming out to much

The attack animation of the elephants is faster that’s why they look fast but they have the same speed as boars

Can you try a team game where you play 3v3 with 2 Ai team mates. Rules. You can not have offensive military, towers etc and you are only allowed to sling Ai team mates

As an American, I never realized why other countries hate American accents so much... until now. Daniel’s voice compared to everyone else was like nails on a chalkboard.
Daniel doesn't have an American accent really, you're referring to the tone of his voice (scratchy strange from the throat for whatever reason). T90 sounds like an American. I'm not sure what Daniel sounds like. It's the tone, not the accent.
For once Viper goes Elephant Archer and doesn't throw the game for his team (nearly did mind you!)
