I fished the Ruby in my youth when I stayed every summer in the Sheridan area. I had no problem getting permission from the ranchers as my family were well known. I spinner fished during the day and flies in the evening. My favorite flies were Royal Coachman and ginger quill. I f you get permission from a rancher to fish, ask where his cattle are and promise to close all gates. A mama cow with a calf can be more dangerous than a bull.
