@@scoty_does sorry but you need to go back and learn and understand the definition of "throughput" this is a shared medium unlike wired ethernet which is point-to-point.
@@retsam1721 wifi 7 can in theory push 40 Gigabit and a normal ethernet client in a home can only put 1 gigabit. That is about 40x the throughput, in rough numbers. Still be years before you get devices to use 6E. Would this be better than the Xfinity router model that comes with the 1,200 gbps speed & does this only benefit wifi or does wired also see an upgrade? If the Xfinity router was sold outright, how much would/should it run for?
It's always better to go with your own devices. Meaning a separate modem and router. The Comcast x1 are good but limited. You max out connections very quickly and it's only a dual band. I have a nighthawk router and modem. I'm able to run 26 device simultaneously and stream 4k wireless without a hitch.
@@Bloodclaudbie I don't necessarily need anything crazy. My bro streams sometimes on twitch and he really just wants something reliable for a "wired connection." By "maxing out," you mean, it's over exerting data and everything will start to run slower faster? We're having some hiccups right now and looking for better solutions.
