This instruction video was well done. I got the serial number from a ford dealership and went on ebay to get the unit. I suspect junk yards will also carry the unit. It took me about an hour to install , test , and finish. Cost me around 75 dollars. Much thanks for putting this excellent video together!
What if i have all functions but no audio and it keeps blowing #19 fuse in the interior(sub/amp). Unplugged amp and still pops fuses instantly. Unrelated to ACM? Short in wire to amp possibly?
@Slow_Six yeah it's super weird. I can't find any info on it. May be an issue with the media center under the pop up. Gonna tear into it today to figure it out. Don't see as many people with issues in the super duty either for some reason.
Sent mine to automotive circuit solutions got it back in about a week and it works and comes with a lifetime warranty. Why replace it with the same defective unit? It seems like they are all failing from the little research I did.
You will need to match the part number on the one in your car, to a new (used) one. You will have to pull it out first to see what the serial # is on the one in the car
I also just tried that, then removing the negative battery connect for 20 min or so and reattaching (a bit of a pain on this vehicle), I'm now removing the acm to get the correct part number. This vehicle, while nice to drive with the 2.0 will be my last Ford.

@@wadecell yes they both worked before and after.

@@youtubeisaszhole yeah sounds unrelated to acm.

This instruction was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for sharing!

I can't get those antenna wires off. Do you think it would be okay to just splice in the new one.
I used a pair of needle nose pliers to get them off. You probably could try to splice them but I can't guarantee it would still work lol
Finally find the explanation for what I'm dealing with. Thanks another man! Good video!!!

Cost. This was $48 from a junkyard.
If you don't mind me asking how much was it for them to repair it ??
where did you buy the Audio Control Module? or how did you replace it? somebody fixed it?
Did you watch the video? Lol.
Got a used one from the junkyard
What did you check to make sure it is the right one? @@Slow_Six
@@danielstonehouse6261 pull the one out of your car. It has a part number on it
Should I disconnect the battery while replacing?
@@tomterry6636 it's recommended when messing with electrical system yeah.
is there a part number I would need
@@katinagulley8367 you need the part number off the back of the ACM. They're not all the same

How long before that one fails? They are all failing
@@algibason4389 it worked for about 7 months. We sold this car (transmission died) but the radio was still working when we sold it.
@@Slow_Six what happened? Did the transmission just died? How many miles? My wife has the same car and same problem with the acm
Hey thank you for this information this fixed my problem as well ! I did everything you did up to the point of ordering another ACM thank you !
They need to recall. So many of these are lemons.
The transmission gave up in this one at 137k. Probably 6 months after this video lol
Thanks for the tutorial! I've successfully replaced the ACM on my 2016 Ford Escape.
@@_and503 Awesome ! Glad I could help.
Ford has replaced ACM three times, radio still stuck in audio off mode. Why can’t they fix this??
Dunno. However, auto manufacturers aren't really in the business of trying to fix issues with 10 year old model year cars, lol
@@Slow_Sixyou make a good point!
Pull and replace fuse f67 in the passenger footwell fuse box (7.5 amps). That’s all it took for mine to start working again.
Tried that. Didn't work. It was the ACM.

Had a similar issue. Removed wires from my battery, attached again and problem disappeared
Didn't work for me. Also tried pulling the radio fuse.
@@Slow_Six I guess it’s just ford being ford 🥲
@@JohnDoe_Poland replacing the ACM worked for us.
@@Slow_Six good you found the fix guys! 🤝🏼
Same issue with my wifes 2018 Edge. Found a few used ACM's on eBay for under $50.
I have a Similar issue, but I can switch inputs. Zero sound zero beep nothing
It's likely the same issue then
Gracias ☺️
