I'm so happy to see you check out the Bee Gees in their "first" career. Harmonies that can only come from the same parents, and brilliant songwriting for themselves and many others.❤
This is the pre-disco Bee Gees. No falsetto singing. Much better in my opinion. Words, Lonley Days, I started a Joke, New York Mining Disaster, Got To Get A Message To You, are some of their pre-disco hits.
The Sayon nobody and obeyu DY gets too much.Have but b you too, my wifey. She's gonna be the exception to thashouldn't allow row hurt my fault i'm a giver
In 1968 Robin left the group for about 18 months. They were 6 and 9 years old when they started performing and all of a sudden they're famous, have more money than they ever imagined and it's the first time they'd ever lived apart. Now they have their partners and one thought the other was getting special treatment or more attention. Of course the media did what they could to stir up trouble. The day they got back together they wrote this song and Lonely Days. So happy they got back together. Please react to, For Whom The Bell Tolls. (Video outside under the Brooklyn Bridge in New York)
this is the first song they did together in 1970 after an 18 month breakup with Robin who went out on his own. He came back and this is the first song they wrote and performed afterward. There was so much emotion in the song.
There were three eras for the Bee Gee’s. The early years, Saturday Night Fever era and post SNF. The music was different in all of them. They were making up till Maurice died. Barry wrote a lot of hits for other artists.
Barry Gibb is one of the greatest songwriters of the 20th century. Look at his song catalogue and you’ll be amazed at the number of hits he’s written. Many for other artists…
Barry also did a marvelous and very touching live duet to this together with our '70s sweetheart Olivia NJ.All his brothers had allready passed during that time.I also love an early one titled 'Holiday".Andy Gibb did a solo live performance in 1978 joined by Olivia and ABBA on backing vocals while Benny and Bjorn were also playing the music.
This is one of the many editions of this legendary group. They are/were chameleons of the music industry. Just listen to their country music. Islands in the stream was voted the best country song at one time, and Rest your love on me is another tender country song that just gets better with ever listen. Then their pure eighties You Win Again takes us all in a completely different direction. They even managed to create a funky 00s sound with their last album This is where I came in. Iconic chameleons, all three
This was their first US number 1. It is from 1971. Their first number 1 anywhere was Spicks and Specks that went number 1 in New Zealand in 1966/67 and the next is maybe their most known song from the 60's, Massachusetts, a UK number 1 which is also from 1967
Always one of my favorite Bee Gees songs. Nice to see you listen to these earlier songs by them. There are separate phases of the Bee Gees that are quite different, but still top quality. Younger people tend to just think of them as a 'disco' group, but those that have had a few more revolutions around the sun know there is much more to the Bee Gees in their earlier years.
Loved your reaction, Rere. As others have mentioned, this is the 1960s era Bee Gees -- in many ways a completely different band from the disco '70s version. I personally prefer the earlier stuff -- they take off on so many different tangents. You just can't predict what will come with their next track. You might want to give a listen to 1967's "To Love Somebody" -- one of my personal faves. 😊
Thank you for your emotionally beautiful reaction. You are obviously a very sensitive and empathic young woman. I'm 66, so I've heard this song many, many times and I'm always so happy to hear it, even having experienced a life-changing heart break. I love their older songs, so melodic and romantic. Namaste. 🙏🏻
They write so many great songs, only a few people can sing them on their level. Al Green does a great version of this, and Shawn Colvin's cover of "Words" is gorgeous.
@RNDReacts I like the old stuff but I LOVE the disco and after the disco years. Most of my favorite songs are from 1975-1980. But I love some of their later songs as well. Some of my favorites that you haven’t done yet: JIVE TALKING YOU SHOULD BE DANCING FANNY BE TENDER LOVE YOU INSIDE OUT TRAGEDY LOVE SO RIGHT NIGHTS ON BROADWAY WIND OF CHANGE All of those were hits on the Black radio stations that I listened to growing up because The Bee Gees crossed over to R&B/soul! Also, YOU WIN AGAIN is great from the late 80’s.
This was a few years before they moved to Miami to get more into a funkier vibe but the older stuff is just as good or better than the latter years IMO... Chek out some 1960s Bee Gees To Love Somebody and Nights on Broadway The Midnight Special 1975
Great reaction I’m so happy you dig the Bee Gees they are one of the soundtracks of my lifetime and love to see there music discovered by new generations. I highly recommend next you react to Fanny Be Tender With My Love. It was a bridge from their 60s and early 70s sound and their disco era of the late 70s. It’s one of my all time favorites and I think you’d really enjoy. Keep up the good work!
Thanks, Rita! I love me some BG's... my favorite has always been Robin... although Barry (here) typically sings the lead.. any one of those boys could hit any of those falsetto notes on any day of the week.. appreciate your reaction!
This is interesting. I've never heard this version of this song. I'm so familiar with Al Green singing this it's hard for me to judge properly. It would be cool to see you listen to his take on this song after you hearing the Bee Gees first. Great reaction as always.
Thank you for your reaction to this wonderful song!! I prefer the early Bee Gees and would recommend you try the songs other commenters have posted here already! Just don't miss "Words"!
You need to hear Al Green version of this song. Check out "La La La Means I love You " by the Delfonics and "Always Forever" by Heatwave.(The harmonies are awesome)
sometimes you can’t even tell these harmonies because they sound like one person. Is honey scrolling through everybody’s comments the recommendations for so many different songs from The Bee Gees. So I’ll throw in mine as well 🤷🏻: Fanny Be tender, jive Talkin, Nights of Broadway, Night Fever. Thanks Rere!
Early BeeGees, pre disco, have some great songs. You should react to videos from their first US tv appearance. Ed Sullivan Show, 1968, To Love Somebody, and Words, were performed. To Love Somebody would be a great one to do❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
If you want amazing harmonies, checkout the Bee Gees with the song ( Fanny Be Tender With My Love) music video, and ( For Whom The Bell Tolls) by the water in New York with the twin towers in the background version, and the song called ( One) all phenomenal songs, great reaction thanks 🙏
They were everywhere on the radio waves and in the movies in the 1970's. This was, however, not one of their big hits. Big shoutout from this old longhaired hippy in the mountains of East Tennessee. U.S.A. Much peace and lots of love to you and yours. Later. See ya on the next.
Hello Rere, Please check out an all female band from Japan called *BAND-MAID* and the song *Alone* I think you might really like their music. Thank You! 😊
Sorry, no! The song was a composition by Barry Gibb and Robin Gibb offered to Andy Williams. The latter was slow to respond; so the BEE GEES recorded it and released it as a single in 1971. The same year, Andy Williams decided to record it and release it in turn. The following year (1972), Al Green released a soul version. Kind regards.
Can’t go wrong with the BeeGee’s though their different styles. I think another guy you would love is Jonny Lang “Lie to Me”, he was 15 when he recorded it and it’s fantastic!
I don't know how far you go back in your comments so I'm requesting this again, Dave Matthew's Band live in Central Park and the song is, Jimi Thing, this is from a free concert after 911 and it is phenomenal and by the way, love your voice, sexy as hell

How could you leave out “To Love Somebody”?
In 1968 Robin left the group for about 18 months. Please react to,
For Whom The Bell Tolls. (Video outside under the Brooklyn Bridge in New York)
Barry had this pretty much written before Robin came over that day, which is why he offered for Robin to sing the first verse.
this is the first song they did together in 1970 after an 18 month breakup with Robin who went out on his own. He came back and this is the first song they wrote and performed afterward. There was so much emotion in the song.

They sold over 200 million albums and wrote over 1000 songs.
Absolutely, one of their Best !

Another great hit was : Love you inside out !! Is going to make you dance !!
Love their old stuff.
This is my favorite ear of BG music! "Holiday" "Words" "Run To Me" - fantastic!
Bee Gees - Love So Right
Loved your reaction, Rere. As others have mentioned, this is the 1960s era Bee Gees -- in many ways a completely different band from the disco '70s version. The Bee Gees are so very awesome. There is only one left and that is Barry. Love your reaction.
Even playing this song on a 45 record as a kid, I never expected the success they would eventually achieve
This was my song in high school when she broke my heart.😢
Raw talent.
If you would like to hear another side of the Bee Gees, please listen to "To Love Somebody' from 1967. It is my favorite Bee Gee Song.
Thank you for your emotionally beautiful reaction. You are obviously a very sensitive and empathic young woman. I like the old stuff but I LOVE the disco and after the disco years. Most of my favorite songs are from 1975-1980. But I love some of their later songs as well.
Some of my favorites that you haven’t done yet:
JIVE TALKING
YOU SHOULD BE DANCING
FANNY BE TENDER
LOVE YOU INSIDE OUT
TRAGEDY
LOVE SO RIGHT
NIGHTS ON BROADWAY
WIND OF CHANGE
All of those were hits on the Black radio stations that I listened to growing up because The Bee Gees crossed over to R&B/soul!
Also, YOU WIN AGAIN is great from the late 80’s.
Maurice and Robin were clearly geniuses...but Barry was and remains just fucking amazing!!!
True!
If you like 80's I recommend "You Win Again".
"To Love Somebody" or "Fanny Be Tender" next!
I grew up with these guys always on the radio, I am about the same age as the twins
Barry found his falsetto voice on the song "Nights On Broadway"...early 70s
This was a few years before they moved to Miami to get more into a funkier vibe but the older stuff is just as good or better than the latter years IMO... Chek out some 1960s Bee Gees To Love Somebody and Nights on Broadway The Midnight Special 1975
One of my favs from the early 70s. Thanks! Always love the Bee Gees reactions.
Love these guys. So many great songs! Thanks for sharing this one.

My opinion one of the best from them
Absolutely. One of my favourites period.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
My Wonderful BeeGees
Al Green does a version of this song, which is well worth listening to.
Thanks, Rita! I love me some BG's... my favorite has always been Robin... although Barry (here) typically sings the lead.. any one of those boys could hit any of those falsetto notes on any day of the week.. appreciate your reaction!

Another of their early hits (my favorite) that you should check out is "Massachusetts".
This beautiful woman is so passionate...I wish she was my sister that died way too early😢
Great song. My favorite by them might be NIGHTS ON BROADWAY!! GREAT JOB RERE! Peace 🕊️☮️♾️😎🤟🏼🎸
My favorite as well.
My favorite BeeGees song!
For some more "sibling" harmonies, hit the Everly Brothers.
Such a beautiful song. Now check out Al Green's version. I know you'll love it.

AL Green does a great version of this song
👍👌👌
Eventually you'll run out of videos to play Rere. I can wait. 😁
It'll be worth it to see you smile at their performance.
Released in '71...well before the disco stuff...their '60s tunes are awesome
❤❤❤
React on Black-Wonderful Life, or France Gall-Ella,Elle,L'a
Can you react to Sam Hunt either ‘Take your time’ OR ‘When you break up in a small town’!
You are as deep as this song.
Hello Rere,
Please check out an all female band from Japan called *BAND-MAID* and the song *Alone* I think you might really like their music. Thank You! 😊
The Bee Gees wrote it but Al Green owned it with his rendition. You might give it a listen as well:

There's another video of this same song, this one you can actually watch them perform. th-cam.com/video/2sN05AMV9gY/w-d-xo.html
Here's a song called "Run To Me", another nice performance by them: th-cam.com/video/sEXlqM60X2A/w-d-xo.html
Loved these guys before disco screwed everything up!
AL Green - Mend A broken heart is the original
Try Come on over, I dare you 😅
Ridiculous harmonies
Can’t go wrong with the BeeGee’s though their different styles.
I think another guy you would love is Jonny Lang “Lie to Me”, he was 15 when he recorded it and it’s fantastic!
I don't know how far you go back in your comments so I'm requesting this again, Dave Matthew's Band live in Central Park and the song is, Jimi Thing, this is from a free concert after 911 and it is phenomenal and by the way, love your voice, sexy as hell
