Do you understand the greatness and legend on display here? The three greatest of all time (Björndalen - the star of the past, Fourcade - the star of the present, Bö - the star of the future) are not only in the same race, but leave the last freaking shooting in the first three positions. There is onley one king and master of biathlon and his name is: OLE EINAR BJØRNDALEN. Every one else is fare behind him.
Marius Nebell Martin fourcade is better at the same age and got more annual ranking than Ole
@@clemsvel1404 Definitely in terms of winning the World Cup. Bjoerndalen was much more focused on the World Championships and the Qlympics. He's far ahead of everybody there. Maybe the best time of Fourcade is over now, Johannes is the man to beat at the moment.
Ole was still good enough to win races constantly until 36 years of age. After that he had only a handful wins. But to win the Sprint in Sotchi with 40 was just incredible. Also the 2 years until the Championships in Oslo were amazing.
Actually i thought, Fourcade will easily beat Bjoerndalen in terms of winning the most races. But now I can imagine, that Ole will stay there longer, maybe for ever. Biathlon isn't the same without Bjoerndalen, he's on if the TOP 5 sportsman ever, I think.

How often do we have to explain that it's impossible to dope with asthma medication in biathlon? The medication causes trembling which is quite a disadvantage on the shooting range...
