If I were to teach you minimal power, then I would need to consider careful calculation, which is too sophisticated for player to work out. The angle is instead greater than the chosen relative to where the ball will collide.
The incident and reflection angles are unfortunately not the same. This game does to an extent emulate a real table. The ball deforms the cushion along its direction vector, this causes a retardation of the ball (it's essentially hitting a curve, not a straight edge) causing the reflection angle to be slightly less than the incident. The harder you hit the ball the more pronounced this effect is. Also the angle itself will also play a part in how much the reflection angle is reduced. A 45 degree strike will have the most effect reducing as the angle gets higher or lower than 45. You can test this by playing the same shot off a rail slowly and then fast, you'll notice the cue ball will deflect less when its going faster.

Not very helpful. Eyeballing angles isn't the easiest. There is a math and system to pool but this isn't it.
