Girl if you want the velvet look on the cat eye you bring the magnet in at each side (edge), use the side of the magnet and bring to right side of nail then do the same on opposite side💓Don’t go over top of the nail. Literally just the side. Hope this helps!🥰But if you want a “cats eye” then put magnet over top at an angle. You can do different designs and all magnets are pretty much the same strength. It’s all in how you hold it
Just to let you know you can’t keep moving the magnet over the polish. You hold it down and don’t move to create the line. If you keep waving it around it just pushes everything to the side. You kind of have to work fast and get it in the light right away

The way I have my gems organized is by color. So I have about 20 diamond art containers, I made one for Red, Blue, Aurora etc. So if I'm doing a red set, I pull out that tray and all shapes and sizes of Red are in that container. Don't you find with those kind of containers, that if you tilt it, everything from one box runs into the next box? That's why I never bought that kind, I hate when my gems are mixed... If I had spent all the time, to sort everything, and then tilted the tray, and they all ran together - I would cry... 😭
You’re supposed to swipe it on the sides and not the top. It takes away the cat eye effect when you go straight for the top and not the sides. Hope this helps.

For cat eye: You apply one coat and cure it. Add another coat and use the cat eye tool and cure it . Finish with a top coat :)

For my cat eye I like to paint a black base, cure it, paint a coat of cat eye, make your design with the magnet, cure, top coat

You paint on the gel, then use magnet and when your happy then cure! And you dont need to buff, but yes need to topcoat. :)
