Morning Train To Glossop | Train Sim World 3 | Hadfield & Glossop Route Add-On | Class 323

Hello and welcome back to Train Sim World!
Today we're going to be driving the full stretch of route on the recently released Hadfield and Glossop route addon for Train Sim World 3. It's the early morning 05:52 departure from Manchester Piccadilly which runs semi-fast to Guide Bridge, and then picks up all stops after that.
We're in the glorious Class 323 of course and this time we'll be taking some time (schedule depending) to have a little look around some of the stations en route. Unfortunately Manchester Piccadilly is poor to say the least, however at some of the out-stations there's some really nice little details they've included.

There's something very cosy about this series. It's like a warm blanket and cuppa for the soul.
I'd love to see a bit of Sheffield. I used to ride the line through Doncaster and Sheffield a lot a few years ago.

Hello Joe, the viaduct at 27:13 is Broadbottom Viaduct. It is indeed ballast-less. The rails are clipped onto longitudinal timbers which are secured directly to the bridge deck. I believe it is of similar design to Dinting Viaduct a little further along which the game does replicate. I guess they just forgot to put the texture on the first one!

Love this route. Helps that it's my actual commute. Shame they haven't modelled the exit of Piccadilly correctly though

I agree they should've modelled the concourse and station. Edinburgh Wakerley and Glasgow Queen Street put piccadilly to shame

The bit about pulling the geraniums out your bag had me cracking up, totally agree I am opposed to the changes being made as I have friends who work on the railway, I have already submitted my thoughts on the RMT website.

You can actually turn of next signal aspect whilst keep the signal distance on

Yes you can turn off next signal aspect but keep next signal distance. You can also turn off e.g. the stop markers and objective markers.

This is my route home from Manchester! Been traveling along on this train since I was very young. Nice to see it in a game. Looks awesome. I agree about the accuracy of Piccadilly being a bit of a let down but I suppose they have to save disk space somewhere and they found leaving the station into Manchester to be where they drew the line.

You can turn off the signal aspect, in the options you can change the HUD setting ‘Next signal aspect’, something along those lines.

I would fully agree with your opinion on the poorly modeled Manchester Piccadily but also I like your suggestion on scenic trains but also make another add-on/extension for the Rose Hill Marple line which would then make the route more realistic and by incorporating a Class 150 from Penzance route or a 195 or even a 156. This would make it more realistic as only Glossop services happen on Sundays not everyday, it is mixed in with the two routes!

Manchester Piccadilly to Cleethorpes they should do via Doncaster and Scunthorpe, no reason why they couldn’t

I was Lawrence Hill station (Bristol) and the GWR driver from a class 166 came out and started putting out a map I was laughing 😂😂😂😂😂

In HUD settings turn Next Signal Aspect to off to see the distance but not the aspect of the next signal

There is no reward for completing the tasks besides a trophy or the equivalent on steam but if you complete the mastery challenges in the Dovetail live tab on the main menu you get a static Class 76 in Ardwick TMD

I had to turn the volume down because of all the slurping but turned it up again around 15:25. Why would our fingers be in our rears though?
