@@michiganrips A trip you could do to add a few more spots in one would be Doe Mtn in Mountain City TN and Kairos Wilderness resort in Glen Lyn VA. could do a sweet 4 day trip with both of those.

It's a fun trail but definitely not the hardest in WV.

I live in Michigan. We got our start with atvs over 20 years ago. We rode the Mounds a few times, and Bull Gap too. Then we went to Windrock/Coal Creek, in Tennessee. I put in over 8000 miles riding in the mountains there, then a few years on the Hatfield trails. Riding here, and riding down in the mountains is vastly different. It took time to learn how to ride. Two things, imo are most important. First for me was gearing. I dropped a tooth on the front and add a couple on the back. I lost some top speed, but down in either of those places, you don't go full out much. I realize you're on a bike.. so that may not apply. What will though, is the use of momentum. Being able to hit the rocks with a little more controlled speed, will help a lot. Blipping your throttle to get over obstacles is another. It takes time and practice. But it's worth it. I had some of the most fun of my life down in Tennessee. Windrock is 72000 acres, all from the same trail head. I'd recommend checking it out. I've ridden rockhouse in WV, and it's more technical than some. Lot's of rocks.. but you're gonna find that most everywhere down there. I remember when we first started and thought the Mounds were scary...LOL Have fun and be safe!!

Yea this bike is geared super tall, I've dropped a tooth in the front since this vid and added one on the rear and it's much easier on the single track

We definitely took a wrong turn when we went down that hill and I kind of threw my bike over a log. Didn't do great with directions for sure
