It’s high time we as the church recognize that anxiety and depression are not because of sin necessarily. Although that can be a cause the larger cause is the sin curse that started with Adam. When your arm is broken you go to the doctor. Your mind is no different. Please see a doctor. Please know that Christ is there as The Great Physician. Those of you who judge and say depression is because the person is sinning be careful. That judgement you are measuring out will be measured to you again. Matthew 7:2
I agree. I found God again and even though I'm 17 months sober and trying my best to be a better me I still have days where my past haunts me and I feel like I can't redeem myself!

I relate to this so much. I let so many lies latch to me as my identity. I forget who God says I am and I slip into a season of anxiety where I don’t want to go anywhere or do anything because I feel that way. This hits home and it’s so heartbreaking to see so many Christians struggle with this. But honestly it’s the easiest target to hit when our faith starts to falter. Thank you for releasing this. It’s important to know we’re not alone. I pray God helps us all through this struggle. I’ve taken solace a lot in Gods words and promises that He holds my hand through all of this. I truly know that His words are our sword and we just have cut the chords that try to bind us with what God says. It’s not an easy fight but thank God that He fights for us 💕

Sarah, wow. Thank you. I found your music just a few days ago and I cant be more thankful with God for putting in my path, amazing artists and instruments of Him to help my life to be better. I started struggling anxiety and all these years I called myself believer in God when actually He wasnt important to me. And as the song says I cant keep living this. I was suffering, the Evil was taking my life out of me, but when you search for God first believe me that it all takes a YES for Him to start working in us, He takes our lives completely if we give Him our permission. And right now, Im not longer suffering anxiety. Im now and beyond thankful everyday with His glory and Im really living my life. Anyone that reads this, stay strong, bad times will come but trust in God even when it seems he abandoned you, He is working in silence, search for Him and He will come to you. 💙

Christians suffer from mental illnesses too. They are chemical imbalances in the brain. It is not our fault. It should treated like any other disease. But there is help through support groups, counseling & medication. There is hope. Don't give up because God will never give up on you! You are worth saving!
