Wow...amazing talk by Nicholas Tse. Never knew him to be so articulate, intelligent and fluent in English. And it's so genuine and inspiring. Your parents must be so proud of you. Keep it up, man!!
He’s a great man and what’s more impressive is he’s trying to be greater. Haters just gonna hate anyway, but their hatred only makes them worse people.
He is so much more intelligent than any person I have ever met in my life. His way to express himself shows he really know rhetorics and how to talk. What an inspiring man for me! I accomplished in such a young age so much more than anyone of us.
Nicholas is such a leader now! you can see all the changes on his face compare with 20 years ago. His is still very confidence, but in a different way!
I tried to stay with his talk. I tried to be neutral despite so many people have opinions on him for being pretentious. But I think he has become more genuine and sincere than he was 10 year ago
What I see are his strong logic sense, ability to self reflect, knowing tat conventional is not nec gd, I watched the voice, saw his courage to be diff. He could synergise the above + his set of gd beliefs/standards and work extra hard to achieve things he wants to do. Admirable.

I remembered all the booing that he got on TV and it was hard to watch - people really hated him and he have great voice. At the same time he didn't have a choice, he was paying off his dad's debts and got signed up to a music label to pay that off. He's an infinite learner. Worked so hard at whatever he did. Great insightful talk! Thoroughly enjoyed hearing about his perspectives and business ventures. He's very creative, open minded and adventurous. So glad he shared all this in an extended Q&A.
There are some entertainers who speak very good English ,such as Daniel Wu, Lee Hom and Edison Chen. I am not surprised at all because they were all born and raised in English-speaking countries .
wow I actually really enjoyed this talk. What I appreciate from this talk is actually his attitude towards "competition" or "prove" yourself, which does not feel aggressive, but indeed a very positive attitude to invest in making good quality products with creativity. I think the part I did not like is his response to people's doubts about "cooking". While I do agree that cooking is open to innovation, I believe there is value in lineage and long-time practice. Overall, his curiosity in tech, food, music is admirable and it's interesting to see someone bring synergy to these areas. I was a fan of nic when I was in secondary school and high school. Later when I got into pondering about philosophy and start working in academic field, my interest diminished. Why people are so surprised when seeing a HK celebrity speaking good English? Just because you usually see Nicholas sings in Chinese and acts in Chinese. There are a number of artists were actually raised in overseas and they just chose to return to their origin for a career.
I just came across this video and reading the comments made me furious. Just imagine if Nick did read your comments and said: " oh my , my fans are just a bunch of idiots!" From you saying " oh, his English is good" , " oh, he is so articulate". To start with He is an actor!! All actors read monologues to land the job, and have perfect articulate speech, secondly he is from Hong Kong and from the wealthy family, he obviously knows English very well and he grew up in Vancouver third, period.
I started cooking about 12 years ago. I really like his speech about food and sharing. I thought to myself back then why I got into cooking. and I tell someone this every year. that what better way to enjoy a good meal than to have a group of people to share with and have a great time together. more on the topic of food. I don't care if someone came from some academy or worked at a Michelin star restaurant. I see their attitude and the work they present. If there's no passion and only empty words of BS which I've seen often then having worked in a kitchen/restaurant really means nothing if the results are negative.
His English is much much better than many other artists in Hong Kong. If you look at those MCs for the miss international Chinese pageant, their English sucks such as Tsang Chi Wai who can't even understand a word of the contestants's English.
@@Ericlin788 have you ever used Google Assistant? You can't say: "hey Assistant" to start a conversation. You must say: "Hey Google" or "Ok Google" to wake up Google Assistant. In this case, Nic said: "Hey Siri-san" to wake up Siri because he spoke Japanese.
