I have been to 2 of these places, it is in China... the blue water pool like place is Huang Long National Park in Sichuan Province (always crowded and packed with people) and the red beach place is in Panjin, close to Dalian city on the eastern side of China... I have been to both places... glad bollywood is finding out other exotic shooting locations other than Switzerland....
Just know only directors who can be considered as PAN INDIAN are 1. Shankar( director of this movie) 2. Mani Ratnam 3. It’s not a typical split personality movie though. The fact that it connects spilt personalities to the different type of punishments in the hell is unique. The most underrated part of the movie is the moral of the story. Small mistakes lead to big mass issues at the cost of someone’s life and nationa’s development. Shankar was ahead of the time esp. when he showcase Japan, Singapore etc. that evolved from nothing to great economies. Japan was destroyed with atomic bombs & Spore is too small that even agriculture wasn’t possible and didn’t have great natural resources like oil/petroleum. In fact, Singapore is the fastest country to evolve from a developing nation to first world status.
