Today she is obsessed, listening to their songs, telling me to buy the DVD when it comes out (which I definitely will) but in the meantime she wants to go watch it again, as do I. Just saw the movie this evening. It is pretty awesome. The recreation of the live scenes especially were incredible. Like nothing that's ever been done before in a musical biopic to be honest. Usually music movies fluff over that stuff but not here. It makes you feel like you time travelled to see Queen live at certain points. Incredible work from everyone involved. The "professional critics" get it sooo wrong! (again!). Go see it if you like Queen.
Look at the genuine terror in his eyes when Brian handed him his guitar. And he just acted like it was no big deal, just a normal guitar. What an incredible man
I absolutely LOVED this film. I laughed. I cried. It was incredible. Rami Malek did an amazing job as Freddie. The live aid concert scene was particularly extraordinary. They had it down to a T, right down to the Pepsi cups on the piano.
Even his handwriting was beautiful! Ahh, Freddie, you awesomely talented man, you were taken from this world way too young, and it's our collective loss.

Wow. I decided to go and see this tonight after originally pre-ordering on amazon. Damnnn glad I did. This was an incredibly powerful performance from the entire cast. Brian May even looks like Brian May. All band members were superb. I was not ready for the extreme emotion this invoked in me right from the start. Fantastic performances of iconic Songs from an iconic band. I am seldom impressed by anyone playing,or impersonating the original singers and was worried about this but this was phenomenal. I so badly wanted to get out of my seat and jump around as part of the crowd.

As I watched carefully at the Live Aid concert scene, I could not help but notice a possible blooper: when Live Aid was a real concert, did the stage crew and production crew, wore neck lanyard identifications? I doubt that those types of official stage hands/production were already invented....I dont think so.
It is now February 26, 2019 as I write. Ober the moon that Rami nailed the Oscar for this. Wow, his acceptance speech was so moving. He slipped, seamlessly into Mercury's character and paid him homage by hard work, and real dedication on this project - And because of that, Freddie lives again for all of us. Simply wonderful, in every possible way...
