I was watching lacrosse I believe Virginia Tech against another ACC team in the opening round of the tournament and a woman was shooting a shot and her stick hit the top of the head of the defensive player and they called the penalty on the offensive player and gave her her yellow card
I don't know much about WLAX, but it seems to me like all these fouls wouldn't have to exist if they just wore helmets. Why does WLAX not wear helmets? Why don't they wear padding like in MLAX?
Exactly! I play WLAX and my brother plays MLAX. Occasionally, I would gear up with him and we would play together, and to be honest, MLAX checking is so much more fun than WLAX checking (no offense). What's so difficult about putting on protection?
This was very helpful as a new women's lacrosse ref
Very informative. Completely disagree with the way WLAX is played, but that's a whole different topic.
As a girl I agree and wish we could play the way boys do tbh
awesome video

Anelisa Huff In Florida they now require helmets but they don’t allow any more contact, which sucks because I wish we could wear pads and body check
