Great vid guys and Well filmed. Was great that u filmed from the rear so we could see the front of the other Landies and how they actually handled the terrain. One of the best vidz iv seen!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it, it was a great weekend away :) Filming out the back was as much necessity as anything. The best footage often means running around outside the vehicles, so it was a bit lazy, but kinda worked! lol. It's bumpy, filming from the back of a 90" though. I just tried to get a nice video together from the footage I had, that told a bit of a story; so glad you enjoyed it, thanks again for the comment.
Nothing on here that my Series 3 did not do every day. I ran one on a snorkel and drove it in water that went over my head! I run a jimny now that would handle most of this. Great Video though and I am suprised at the low views. (Needs doing again in HD) We will probably have to wait for dryer weather though.
Thanks for the comment, glad you liked the vid :) If the water went over your head wouldn't you drown and the vehicle float away? The vid was filmed with a Panasonic HDC-HS9, so it's quite an old camera but it is actually HD 1920x1080. Must've had it about 10yrs now and it still works nicely.
Very late reply, but I felt I should defend the old discos. It was actually very competent overall, and benefited from a skilled driver. It was a very standard vehicle and didn't have mud tyres fitted, which would've helped in places. It was the only vehicle that needed a tow at one point, but if it'd had a winch I reckon it could've hauled itself out. Although still not a patch on a defender, I can see why the older discos were fit for Camel Trophy events. It's a shame Land Rover only really make SUV's and Luxury vehicles now. The pick-up Defender 90 at the back was actually the biggest liability of the troupe. Held together with string and tape, but it did add some entertainment and impromptu repair-puzzles to the trip!

Those disco's are a liability, most videos with a disco in they are struggling or stuck lol, good vid and banter
