I knew I made a good choose when I got mine but dang this just reinforces it. The custom rifle feel for that price is the best deal no questions asked.
Yes, in the Weatherby book it says it was named Mark V because it was the fifth variation of the design.
Some rifle designs are made for manufacturing, my Weatherby Mark V Deluxe was made for me.
Can you do a talk on the 338-378 weatherby please
550 Magnum is a straight walled 460 WBY. 700 grain projo at 2400 fps.
Fits perfect in the Mark V action.
So when are we getting 375 RPM and 375 Wby back now that light copper bullets are good. Speed kills but so does diameter.
I have had a few vanguards. Love them. Best bang for your buck around. I picked up a used mark 5 rifle and man… it’s hard to use any other bolt anymore. That 257 mark 5 is just something out of a dream. Weatherby till I die
I would love to see photos posted on the custom rifle you built for the RMEF this year you know the one with the signature's
It's a 500 A square, but great podcast.
Okuma machines! I can operate those. Hiring any Machinists?
Absolutely love this action
The Weatherby Mark V has a safety catch whereas the Remington 700 and its clones only have a trigger block, euphemistically described as a ‘safety’. There are huge difference betwixt the two! Cheers from NZ🇳🇿.
I'm a huge clone nerd. I love the idea of being able to listen to this rather than read the forums
How is this action stronger than the Ruger M-77 / any Mauser / type of action?
I) In 9 lug it’s larger than a standard Mauser action.
Ii) with the 9 lug action it has more surface contact than a standard Mauser to handle more psi.
