It's really no surprising, all the red flags were very obvious in those videos of him as a kid. I remember commenting under one of those vids that he looked like an absolute cancer to play with and will not go far unless he learns how to play proper football.
There are levels to football these days, almost completely dictated by physicality and athleticism, with close ball control being a given. It us usually impossible to access these attributes in a 16 year old, with only a few obvious outliers
