el toro is still incredible, got 4 back to back night rides yesterday and it’s running as good as ever. still a couple rough patches, especially at the end of the turnaround and a little bit in the twister section, but it doesn’t take away from the ride much
I ❤ El toro i feel bad for my heavy set friend. He's like 360 pounds body weight. He had a issue with El toro cause he claimed the harnesses were crushing his balls . To bad he can't get a re run of El toro. I need to get back to six flags great adventure to re ride El toro and get on tht new coaster jersey devil. How is jersey devil btw ?
@@seanhassan7106 best of luck of your friend ❤️ jersey devil is insanely good, if you’re in one of the back three rows the drop feels like a mini el toro and every element hits, plus they basically turned the midcourse off a little while after it opened so the second half hauls too
@@CoasterHorizons i so gotta get back to great adventure. It's been calling my name. I've had a dream few nights ago I was at great adventure. That's how you know it's calling me .
IMHO, Zippin Pippin has gone from an unknown, underrated ride, to now the most wildly overrated coaster in America. For me it’s nowhere near a top ten, and yes, for me The Beast would be a logical choice for a top ten.
I don't think he's experienced The Beast at night as of yet. It really is a "night and day" difference. MT owns the daytime but The Beast at night is LEGENDARY!
Never had a night ride on beast but I wouldnt judge the ride based on that anyway. The ride itself isnt that great aside from the setting and the final helix. That would have been #17 on this list
The last time I rode it it was very rough. Still a great thrill, but certainly not top 10 in my opinion. It’s also one dimensional which I think knocks it
The Beast is the greatest roller coaster of all time, steel or wooden. It's hard to believe it's not even in your top ten. If you haven't ridden it lately, it's not nearly as rough as it used to be. Nice lest though.
The retracking on Thunderhead did a wonder for it. I got to ride Mystic Timbers and Thunderhead on back to back days and actually preferred Thunderhead.
An underrated coaster is Cyclone at Lakeside in Colorado. It will always be my favorite wooden coaster. Nostalgia is involved, but that coaster was amazing when I first rode it at 5 and was still amazing when I rode it again at 23. It’s also a fun tiny little amusement park that I hope never goes away
I’ve been on 3 of these, Mystic Timbers, Ghostrider, and Voyage, and fully agree. All are absolute masterpieces, and are in my top 10, Voyage being my overall #2. I’d also throw in The Beast and The Raven. The Beast at night has gotta be one of the best coaster experiences out there, and I think The Raven is extremely underrated, gets kinda overshadowed nowadays by The Voyage but Raven is fantastic as well
@@AirtimeThrills fair tbh. I also have a lot of nostalgia bias for The Beast since it was my first big coaster and also probably the coaster I have the most lifetime rides on (haven’t really kept track of that but I don’t think any other coaster aside from Mystic Timbers comes that close). I wouldn’t consider The Beast my #1 coaster but there probably isn’t a coaster on earth I love more than it
I wouldn’t say El Toro is “worse”, it’s just been moody this summer. Some days it’s fast, some days it’s slow. It’s not rough though, I’ve gotten 30+ rides on it in a day and the only thing hurting was my thighs.
El Toro is the only one on I have ridden on this list. But man that is a great ride. It caught me so off guard. I was expecting a basic wooden coaster. After it violently through us over the first hill I knew I was in trouble 😂
WOOOOWWWW I DID NOT EXPECT YOU TO PUT HADES 360 AND ZIPPIN PIPIN ON THAT LIST! I've never been to Mt. Olympus, but Zippen Pippin is by far my fav but ive only been on Zippen Pippen at bay beach green bay wisco, viper at 6 flags great america, and American eagle at 6 flags great america. I think thats all the ones ive been on lol! But i would say viper is good but Zippen Pippen, and American eagle are like basically tied! All American eagle needs is a retrack, if they tare it down imma be so sad!
Airtime Thrills has never rated Boulder Dash highly. I have trouble ranking it myself--the last time I rode it, it'd gotten rough enough to be unpleasant (I remember thinking I had more fun on Phobia Phear Coaster), but the layout and setting are so epic that it's hard to rank it down. And I haven't ridden it since they Titan Tracked the first drop. The first drop was never the problem, though.
Chris what is the song used in this video. Love the music in your videos overall. Could you tell me the names of the songs so I could put it in my videos. Thanks

Boardwalk Bullet deserves a Top 3 spot since it was retracked. Front row, right side with plenty of room is the best ride I’ve ever had on any coaster…yes better than any single ride on SV or Fury
So many people say toro is rough now. It has a couple pothole and one of them is pretty bad but it’s still rerideable and the rattle adds to the intensity imo
@@AirtimeThrills Fair enough, especially considering Coaster at Playland without tightening seatbelts didn't even crack your top 50 in 2019, that makes sense. Nope. For me the greatest wooden coaster is the Giant Dipper at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. It's 99 years old and still rides as smooth as it did when I first rode it 50 years ago.
