This is really an incredible review, great flow and to the point thank's brother! Wondering, with a Glock in the concealed carry compartment and a laptop in the bag, do you notice the firearm printing?
I didn't see any mention of it.. but Is the bag water resistant? Meaning. Is the zipper on top (that goes straight to the innerds of the bag) resistant to water and rain? is the material itself resitsant at all? Or will the bag soack through the zipper, and soak through the material if your being rained on and ruin whatever is inside? Thats a pretty big factor in a messanger bag. and one reason I use the one I have now since the inner most part is highly resistant (not like it can swim of course but heavy rain won't soak into it unless the zippers open. Though after half a decade or so its wearing out)
1:48 At that point why even have the flap over the zipper? It seems like they kept the flap on the bag just to make the zipper seem like "a good benefit".
Very nice bag. Outstanding review. Just wondering if the bag material is durable enough to carry kindling or chopped wood in the "tall" open configuration. Just to carry more weight if that is the only bag you have. By the way you didn't cover it but would this bag be practical as a "bugout" bag?
3.1 lbs for a messenger bag... wow. This thing is over-engineered, heavy, and super expensive. It is obviously a great bag, but I'm not sure how many people will actually buy it for work.
+Gambit166 I would. Nothing worst than a light bag tearing or breaking or unbuckling because you have heavy amount of paper work andbig laptop in it. Assuming its water resistant anyway its on my list to get one day.

+1997wolverine Yes, it would be able to carry the wood no problem. As a bug-out bag, not one I'd use - just not configured well for that.

Im really torn between the skitch 12 or the 5.11 mike what do you think is better?
Sorry - never used the 5.11 bag.
If you still haven't made the choice. The 5.11 Rush messenger bags are good but the Mike is too small for me - get the Lima.
