I would say one tip is learn how your oppent plays. It usually takes you dying once but within that moment I am able to determine what build is being used, how its being used, when they push or pull back and if they are group reliant.

Not sure about underrated, alot of top streamers i follow have nothing but respect for how he holds himself and plays a fair game. Mention his name in a live feed you'll not see anyone say a bad thing about him..maybe he deserves more subs, sure, but as a whole he's one of the more liked streamers on this platform. But i get what you mean if people don't know about him they certainly should.

@@aggielucero2784I bet you play ghost recon :-) Yep some things could be fun, like the ability to make more moves, lying flat, crawling, climbing. All the possibilities you talked about but with a realistic approach on what you could carry with you at any moment.

I love the division 1 and 2 ESPECIALLY 2. When I started PVP I immediately stopped because I wasn't use to everything I shoot at feels like I'm shooting with airsoft rounds but after userstanding it a bit more and being patient forcing myself to get use to it and understanding builds I fell in love. Believe it or not I still hit Division 1 but 2 is where it's at.

this is how I feel but for me I think it’s even worse because coming from destiny the ttk is so quick and I can’t get used to shooting somebody with a full mag of a shotgun and they don’t die or I get dunked on by someone hiding behind a shield

Here is an overlooked setting. We sometimes are forced to shoot through loot drops and it can make visibility terrible. Making loot beam visible>off will make it a very narrow beam which will make visibility 99% better.
What this does is allow us to see through the loot beams without having to aim down sight, they are always the size as when aiming.

great video champ. Long, but great. My biggest bit of advice to players is just give it ago. The only way to learn is to try and please don't resort to cheesy status effects if you die once. Its a game, don't be scared of dying.
Learn the games mechanics and adjust settings and even builds to suit yourself.
Understand everyone in the game is at different levels of ability, and every dog has their day. You might be on top today but get farmed tomorrow, its just the way it is, no one is unbeatable.
But tbh just have fun, because that why we all game, to have fun.

Man, so many things I want to comment on regarding this video, ALL good. First off, thank you! You’ve answered A LOT of my questions. I’ve been a fairly passive, solo campaign player for the almost year or so that I’ve played 1 & 2. I finally broke down and bought the year pass, am doing a little team work and on the 30th floor of Summit. I’ve barely ventured into the DZ because although I’m high enough level, nearly everyone who’s there already will easily kill me in a second. A big part of that is just not knowing about builds, good strategies and not playing on a team much. There’s so many of the acronyms and slang that I don’t know that I’ve paused game play a lot to look stuff up. I think I’ve done pretty well on my own and know most of the unstated “rules” but this vid has filled in a lot of the blanks, particularly now that I’ve done the campaign long enough that it’s getting repetitive and boring. So much so that I go back to 1 to play Survival and the other side stuff. I’m really looking forward to getting home tonight and doing your recommended build! One question though-does the build stand up against campaign play bad guys/Summit as well as it does in PVP? Thank you man, hope to go against you some day in the DZ just for fun!

    • @RogueGold
      @RogueGold  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Super glad it helped out, thank you for the kind words! The build is definitely fine-tuned for PVP. It will absolutely work and perform well in PVE activities, but there are probably some slight changes I would make if I were going to focus it on PVE

This was a really well put together guide. I've dabbled into Division's PVP both in Div 1 & 2. It's been a lot of fun when I go looking for it, though it can be annoying at times too. Late comment here but I've always been more of a PvE kind of player and I always thought the PvP in this game looked really iffy and like something I wouldn't enjoy. But I recently got into playing conflict and I been having a blast despite me running my PvE builds at 1st lol I found out quick that I needed some tips and this video helped me a lot thank you a lot for it. I personally still am against going rogue in the DZ I just kind of view it as a trolly dick move to do, I dedicated a lot of my time in Division 1 to protecting players from Rogues but I do enjoy conflict quite a bit now, though I still am more partial to the PvE side of things

Great video RG! This is what I've been waiting for. I have been playing The Division since D1 and I am shite as a PVP player, but I enjoy it so I keep at it. I've had guys laugh and say, "this guy again?", when they have already put me down 6 or 7 times and I come back at them. I know I'm not going to take them down, but I try to get at least one. It doesn't usually end up that way, but whatever.....I have fun. I really liked the live commentary of you playing as a rogue and non rogue agent. That's something that I have been looking for and I thought you did an excellent job of explaining your thought process from both sides; I would love to see more of that. Anyway, thanks again and keep up the good work. p.s. I didn't mind the length of the video.

As far as the animation part of the video, I think it woulda been good to mention the emp sticky. Yeah it stops them from using skills but most people use just to stagger you. You can’t do anything while in the stagger animation. Players quickly learn not to vault over, use ropes, or climb while in combat.
And a good way that I’ve found to counter the emp crutches out there to switch over to Sawyers Kneepads. You can’t get staggered.

Conflict player here, and on one of the more dominant teams. Conflict does suck for many people, especially new players. But what I will say to add, is movement in conflict is also critical, the same rules apply there as do in DZ mostly. Where it differs is the environment, there's realistically not a lot of places you can run or hide, you do need to stay and fight most of the time since your options to retreat are low. There's basically only at most 3 pathways from any place, often narrowing into a choke point. So the good teams know these choke points and will trap you there as you retreat. This is a frustrating point and where many will start accusing of cheating (walls, etc.).

Very good points only thing I'd say is CURRENTLY, Contractors, Foxs, Coyotes, Unbreakable, In Sync, Adrenaline Rush, and Shield are IDEAL for beginners because it essentially carries the player 100%.
Contractors, Foxs and Coyotes give the damage without having to think about anything (just land your shots).
Adrenaline Rush gives you bonus armor for well..
Standing next to the opponent. Of course what you said about Unbreakable.
Then the shield goes with the damage aspect of things.
A skilled player can kill with ANYTHING, a ehh player is RELIANT on a "carry me build"
Situational Awareness is the best piece of info this whole video.

I was more a casual player just doing pve and doing the whole grind missions and battle passes and such I felt so weak all the time so I'm hoping this time around I'm gonna look into your content for some builds that can help me feel stronger and maybe try to learn systems that would increase my power level on stuff even more if possible is that like crafting or something?
