      It was great rivalry between Cowboy Bebop.Both space western masterpieces with a lot of different music genres and both were created in 1998.Unfortunately Trigun was ignored by Japanese people and it reminds me another masterpiece which has the same character and story development(from comedy to drama) Firefly

    You got to feel for Vash. He never wants any living being to die, even the bad ones. But his logic is flawed and thus it led to the deaths of Wolfwood and Brad.

    • @LightswrathUltimatum
      @LightswrathUltimatum 8 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      It's all ambiguous, or it was obvious. Vash was a man who could only to do himself what he did to others. Since Wolfwood couldn't get Milly i doubt he would go to Meryl. Grief Stricken he would spend his eternity with Knives alone.

    • @johnnybadmen3473
      @johnnybadmen3473 4 ปีที่แล้ว +43

      The way I see it, Vash was right, to some degree. When Wolfwood tried that pacifist crap with his teacher he actually got through to him. They stopped trying to kill each other. The only reason Wolfwood died is because Legato used his psychic powers to kill Wolfwood. If not for Knives influence there would be a lot less death in Trigun.

    • @DuckieMcduck
      @DuckieMcduck 3 ปีที่แล้ว +30

      @@johnnybadmen3473 It's even funnier than that. Neither Legato or Knives forgives anyone for mistakes, causing all this to happen. The SEEDs crew, before humanity crashed into the desert planet of Gunsmoke, all died because they refused to forgive each other. Rem was the only one with forgiveness in her heart, which caused her to save the remainder of humanity before the crash.

      @@johnnybadmen3473 The thing is, its proven multiple times that Vash CAN bring people around to pacifism and end conflict without bloodshed.
      Its just that ideas like pacifism have no chance of reaching someone like Knives who's entire life is based around an eye for an eye.

    When I first heard this song, my girlfriend put it on while we where driving home one night. I told her, "I didn't know you liked Pink Floyd?" and got rather excited, being a pretty big fan of Psychedelic Rock music, but she surprised me when she said, "This isn't Pink Floyd! It's a song from Trigun's Soundtrack". I was honestly blown away and every now and again, I play this song just to zone out while I work on school work. It's a great example of good music that doesn't necessarily need the anime to stand on its own.

      Imo it's one of the best solos of all time. Tsuneo Imahori's guitar playing is crazy sick.
      Check out his other track 'Yakitori' off the Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex OST (GITS:SAC) - It's 7+ minutes of Tsuneo Imahori going crazy on the guitars.
      Link: th-cam.com/video/x5RqNTMFD00/w-d-xo.html
      Fun fact: He also plays the guitars in the jazz/blues band 'The Seatbelts' - created the very famous and my favourite composer; Yoko Kanno. - That group of people composed and performed all the 300+ tracks of Cowboy Bebop. - If you like jazz or blues in the slightest, and even if you don't - You HAVE to check out that OST as a whole. It's about 12 albums iirc.

    I had this tune modding into terraria to play whenever I was in the corruption. It felt so perfect, because the corruption always looked like a wasteland, devoid of life.
    Depressing, futile lost hopes.. Every time I hear it, I think of either wandering in the middle of nowhere, or just quietly farming mobs. Such great music to play to. Some of the best 300-500 hours of my life.

      Fredrick placht what is this life? Is it really all that great. Can't there be something more. Doesn't it seem that life is trying to hint at something. The greatest thing in life. Love is the best experience in life. Jesus Christ claimed love. One day you will come close to your death and start questioning whether or not God really does exist and it might be to late. Do you live only just to die, is that your only purpose. There once was a king who came down from his throne and died for all who loved him. He did not come into the world to make bad people good but dead people live.

    • @mattwedd6836
      @mattwedd6836 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Fredrick placht Fredrick placht God gave us Free will to chose evil or good. If we lived in a perfect world which you are trying to say is the only way God would be God, then you don't know what kind of God my God is. If we lived in a perfect world were God made us perfect without choice, then we would be no different then a computer program programmed to do what ever its creator made it for without choice. That is not love. Love is the freedom to chose God in spite of the hell this life brings upon us. I am sorry that you interpret life the way you do. There is no way I can say what you need to experience to believe in God, because you might(Even if you seen God face to face) still reject him. You want, desire, and pursue a world without a cage, a world were you are God, but just like when Michael Angelo's teacher asked why Michael was painting disrobed people, he said " I want to see man as God see's man". His teacher replied, " But just remember one thing Michael, you are not God".

Well, at least, the beginning of the instrumental does.

    @nonamexg18 Recognize who the villain is in this story through the eyes of Vash.. It is not Knives nor any other character. This is made apparent through Vashs constant battle to avoid causing them pain. The enemy was violence/murder/hatred. Thats what he was fighting. That was his enemy, the only villain he saw.. he fought it in others and also within himself throughout the show. Whereas in Indiana Jones - Star wars - LOTR, there were character enemies - people who were viewed as the villains.

      +dragon stalone Yes. Vash is like any other person in the anime, which if you rewatch it will notice almost every character has multiple personalities. Vash is simultaneously a man who WOULD kill any monstrous human being if he lost control, yet is also so kindhearted that he would desire for a both a spider and insect to live if one got caught in the others web. Overall, Vash is like any other entity in the anime, Human.

    @MalachiteR Truth to be told, Cowboy bebop's story isnt anything awesome..wats grand in it is the ambience...the characters...and the unearthly music...to me at least, Cowboy bebop is magnificient not for what the story says but rather how it is said!

    Somehow no matter how much I've been through I always stick to my principles, its been 20 years and I haven't aged. I'm 6''6" with blonde hair. I refuse to hurt any innocent people. I've been in fights where I pull some other worldly shit to get free of a UFC-type hold...I think I'm Vash yo...lol.

    It's really too bad vash is the one getting the blame for deaths and crimes he didn't commit which his evil twin brother did. I always wonder where did they first find them. It explains vash and knives are aliens but it never explained how they found them Though it showed a quick flash back of them in these test tube pods in a ship as infants and before the crew was gonna shoot them rem stopped them

      Yamik What ruined it was just how Mary Sue Vash was. There was never any risk involved with him. He always just sorta had 'magic' that let him do whatever he wanted to do and he never had to make any real choices. No matter what, he could always survive a shower of bullets through teleporting, and could always do non-lethal takedowns with his magical aim. It detracted so much from the show and kinda ruined it for me to be honest.
      He never grew as a character, was never forced to SURVIVE, never forced to drop supremely childish ideals in order to do the right thing. He never really had to actually have any sort of real depth, and develop into a character that recognized that killing, in and of itself, isn't evil, it's the context of killing that matters. If he hadn't been so incredibly selfish and self-centered with his ideals, like the scene where the gungho gun slaughters that town because he refused to use his backup gun during the prison scene, then so much could have been avoided.
      To me Vash was a terrible protagonist, both from a moral and a plot point of view. I always liked Wolfwood until the writers ruined him at the last moment by making him abruptly change his personality for no reason to become a Vash clone.

    you do have a point, but please consider the following.... vash refused through the entire series to kill humans,but saw fit to end hos brother's life.... in the end vash told that he would live his life according to his own desires... so therefore the cross could signify a new vash being reborn from the midst of the battle against knives ... All who may think the way i do, Give A Like ;)

    @chuckythekillerdoll Quote (Myself 4 weeks ago, this exact video, 9 comments below): Well, my comment here about Trigun is almost a year old. Actually I'd say that I think Cowboy bebop is the best. After reading the Trigun manga I thought it was so much better than the anime (even if the anime is good). If they would remake the anime with the kind of animations they had in the Trigun movie, following the story better it would be friggin awesome.

    @howlbigbadwolf Yeah well, I disagree with myself now afterwards saying that it's the best anime ever. Actually I'd say that Cowboy bebop is better. It's still one of the best like you said tho. After I read the manga (that was so much better) I felt a little bit disappointed :) Hopefully they will make a remake following the manga with todays animations and I can only say AUWGDAYWDGYAWDAPÖ:DDDD if they would do that.

    @WanderLink in fiction I think it's perfectly acceptable for the good guys to do what Wolfwood did. I know that that would go against the moral of the story, but I feel that none of the villains ever redeem themselves or change when Vash spares them, in fact they grow more motivated to kill him. Indiana Jones, Luke Skywalker hell even the hobbits from LOTR took lives of enemies. They're not even anit-heroes!. Would Vash call them selfish and immoral? That's kind of self-righteous.

    wanna know why there aren't too many dislikes? Because only awesome people watch Trigun, and only awesome people who watched Trigun would be looking up the awesome OST. Thus the rare result in random non-awesome people finding the song and disliking it.

    This was played after Wolfwood killed Zazie the Beast and punched Vash after Vash berated him with his self-righteous morals for taking a life (they are friends but they differ in their willingness to kill).
